Located inside Richmond Public Market. Didn't get to try their little round taiyakis as the wait time was too long (30 mins) - will try next time. Bubble tea was deliciously old school and not too sweet. Pearls were smaller sized than average and so perfectly fresh, soft and chewy. Prices are so reasonable with many drinks under 5$??? Peanuts: "since 1994" For a bubble tea shop to be open for nearly 3 decades, they must be doing something right! Their drinks are very affordable at roughly CA$5 or less. But they're more well known for their CA$1.25 wheel cakes: a rice flour based dough with savory or sweet filling. I ordered two wheel cakes (one red bean, one matcha white chocolate). Both were soft and chewy with a lightly crispy exterior. The red bean one had whole red beans inside instead of paste. I also ordered the original milk tea with pearls, which was good but not spectacular. Friendly staff and very quick service, but you may have to wait a few minutes for some flavors of wheel cakes to be made. Located inside Richmond Public Market second floor and cash only!

Tried their wheel cakes. They weren't busy but were constantly making fresh hot wheel cakes - which is great because these cakes are best when they are hot and fresh. Taste traditional and homemade. If you like wheel cakes it's worth stopping by.

Wanted a drink when I was at the Richmond Public Market and this was the highest rated place on Google and I understand why! We got the lychee ginger tea with 50% of sugar and lemon slice tea. Both were really yummy, a bit sweet for my taste but the flavors made up for it! I loved how gingery the lychee ginger was. Would recommend to come here for some boba if you're at the Richmond Public Market!

Went with the regular milk tea with boba. It was ok and was not impressed. Had better milk tea elsewhere. The tapioca pearls didn't really have much taste to it. Service was pretty fast. I did see a person making the wheel cakes but was not hungry. Save it for my next trip here.

Random boba spot in a food court above a market. Boba was really good. Very chewy and soft. The tea flavor was also great. Cash only.

Tasty and cheap (inexpensive) bubble tea place in Richmond Public Market. Fun fact - this place is the oldest surviving bubble tea shop in Richmond (started in 1994). The true OG. Parking is available in the RPM parkade attached to the main building. The prices are very reasonable compared to most other places in town. Guessing their rent is lower than many adjacent stalls. Most importantly, they still use real fruit for many (possibly all?) of their drinks. The strawberry slush I had hit the spot. It was beautiful. Nice and refreshing on a hot day.

Always great!! We got the grapefruit green tea, Taiwanese herbal tea, and original milk tea. I had order the grapefruit tea half sweet but it was still really sweet so I think I would get 25% sugar next time. We order the herbal tea with 25% sugar and it had no sweetness to it so I think the sugar levels really depend on which drink you are getting

They have very good price for bubble teas. Bubbles are extra for 50 cents. There are many choices like sugar level and ice amount. The drinks are good but the favor can be stronger. Orders were original milk tea and black sesame with boba. Service was very friendly.

Amazing that this food court bubble tea shop has been open for 30 years! Their prices are also like a step back in time - maybe not 30 years back, but before food prices skyrocketed in the past few years. You can get a drink with toppings for $5-7 and the wheel cakes are a little over $1. Some of the toppings are a little expensive, but with the base price of the drink as affordable as it is, you can still get a premium topping and have a drink at a reasonable price. My drink, a green bean slush with taro paste, plus two wheel cakes was $9.75. Cash only. Despite the low prices, I was impressed by the quality of my drink. The earthy and natural flavour of the green bean paired with nutty taro was really nice. The taro paste was thick but smooth, and they were generous with it. Didn't taste like "cheap" bubble tea even if the price is not too high. The wheel cakes were also so good! They have 10 flavours that they make, but only 4 were ready when I ordered. Luckily they had two that I wanted to try: radish and taro. They're constantly cooking the wheel cakes so mine were still nice and warm when I got them. The cakes were super soft inside and generously filled. The warm taro paste was almost custardy and the savoury radish filling was also tasty. The woman who took my order was super nice! There was a bit of a line but it moved fast. I probably got my order less than 10 minutes from the time I got in line.

Very good and inexpensive. I love the different flavors of wheel cakes-- I especially love the peanut flavor and a close second with red bean and custard! The boba here is pretty good and refreshing. I've had better tea elsewhere, but this place hits the spot (it's great for the price). There was a huge line when I stopped by so expect a bit of a wait at peak hours.

We happen to find this place when we were searching for a post garlic, crab bubble tea! What a great find! They've apparently been in business for a long time, and you can see why. Tons of different flavor options, the prices are very reasonable, and the small pinwheel cakes were a marvelous accompanying treat! We grabbed a mix of milk teas and blended drinks. All we're excellent and all came out quick! This spot is a great one and is well worth checking out!

Mostly came here for the wheel cake and got the custard and red bean. It's not bad for the price and it's only $1 each. The red bean isn't that sweet and the custard is slight sweet. I've had better but not to bad for the price. Also got the honey black tea since it's pretty hot in this food court. The tea taste like a Chinese type of tea and it a nice refreshing tea, not too bad.

Apparently the OG for boba. Creamy and not too sweet with perfectly chewy boba. Big plus is its decent prices.

The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)

Our absolute favorite was the shaved ice--it was refreshing, perfectly textured, and just amazing! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for genuine Taiwanese food and warm, attentive service. When I had the chance to go to Vancouver, BC with my boyfriend I wanted to go here! First all, you need a reservation specifically for the high tea portion so we booked that ahead of time. As you go in you are led to an area of Tsujiri where there are just tatami mats and no shoes are allowed on it. We were first sat down with matcha to start with and the music surrounding us was serene and calming. Then came the high tea, compared to your usual high tea, without the Japanese fusion. This came with a lot of interesting treats. In the middle tier, there was your savory two different types of onigiri, savory rice cakes, and elevated salad with a jelly. The salad was incredible and unlike anything I've had before. The onigiris were good as they should be so was the rice cakes. Top tier and bottom tier consisted of the desserts one plate for me and one plate for my boyfriend. My favorite was the mango mochi. It was so creamy and delicious! The other dessert was solid too, I like the little mousse cake. I also liked the add on of a matcha sauce for the fruits. Tsujiri definitely transformed high tea into a Japanese version and it was well put. Both usually make me full. I do wish there was more options on savories you could have before eating the sweets, but this is a slightly different experience.

We took a leap of faith in those Yelpers and headed our way to Babatang. Appeared tiny from the outside and was difficult to locate at first glance. An older gentleman who appeared to be the shop owner made all the drinks and desserts, while a lady who might be his wife was sitting on a big sofa behind the counter, watching him.
