This brewery is located in Last Chance Gulch and what is cool is that there are tables all outside along the walkway that you can take your beer and drink. Inside though is a huge space with lots of seating and also standing space that is a good place to hang out. All of their beers are $5 which makes it easier to remember. I ordered the s'more stout ($5) which was good. If you want to try different beers you can order a flight ($6). For my flight I got the wood knocker (their flagship beer), the shandy, the bearded lady blackberry sour, and the grass. All were good but my favorite was the shandy which was so easy to drink! It tasted like juice and you could easily down a couple of these. This was my favorite followed by the blackberry sour. The woodknocker IPA is great. The beers are cheap and rotate. My favorite is the seasonal lemongrass wheat ale. If you're visiting and see it- it's a must try. You can bring food over from the rest of the food places on Last Chance Gulch. Great atmosphere and can accommodate large groups and family's alike. I really like Ten Mile Creek. It's on Last Chance Gulch and is a large space. Their taps rotate frequently and my recent favorite is the Vigilante Gold, which is crisp and refreshing. Staff is chill also, and indefinitely did the window seats where you can people watch. read more

One of the top brewery experiences we've ever had. The beer is fantastic and the service is even better - we loved everything about this place. The barkeep who greeted and poured our beer was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the beer, and helpful. We got a flight and he convinced us to try the sour, which we normally don't like, but theirs was incredible. We also loved the lemongrass beer - we ended up buying some to go. The outdoor walking mall area is open for drinking so that made it an even lovelier experience. We tried a few other breweries in Montana on our trip and this was (10) miles ahead. Cheers! read more

We took a day trip to Helena and stopped in the brewery. It is a large space and has lots of tables. You can sample the beers and there is a coffee shop inside as well. We each got a flight and the beers were delicious. Staff are friendly. We felt very welcome as out of towners. Worth a visit if you are in Helena. read more

A fun place. The actual physical facility is pretty big and cool looking, better than Blackfoot Brewery. However, their stouts are not as good as Blackfoot (very subjective) and are just a tad more expensive. Growlers are also just a tad more expensive than Blackfoot. Since they are on a walking mall parking is a little bit of an issue if the tiny garage near them is full. You won't be disappointed with this place but it's just not quite as good as Blackfoot. With that said, my wife disagrees and likes Ten Mile better! read more

Beautiful, open brewery in the middle of Last Chance Gulch. As a tourist, I appreciated the ability to sight see & taste some creative beers. We enjoyed the sampler. I was a little confused by the MT brewery laws + the breweries ticket system. I was also kind of confused b/c 2 of the beers we wanted to try weren't ready but were on the beer list and would've been ready in 15 min - 2 hours. Oh well, what we did try was very creative (lemongrass) and quite good (IPA). The brewery seemed kinda quiet and staff was pretty friendly. read more

New brewery downtown! It is so nice to meet up for a beer at a new place that doesn't feel jam packed. Ten Mile has tall ceilings, wood bar tops, fine art on the walls- fresh atmosphere I like the Tree Kmocker IPA and I just tried the Winter IPA which was strong but really good. My husband enjoyed the Rye Pale Ale and the Nut Brown. The staff was friendly, one of the owners introduced himself and recognized us on our next visit. They serve full pints here so, only expect 3 max... But three was plenty for me. We were not impressed, their beer is médiocre with all the beer tasting about the same without much of a taste difference. We went the day after they opened and one of our friends even said he would choose PBR over this....hummmm. These three young men need more experiance, it's a shame they put alot of money into the remodeling of their space, I have a feeling there are deep pockets and They Will Need It IN Order To Stay Alive For Long IN a town that has TWO of the best brewery in the state...my advice don't waste your taste buds on medicare beer. read more

Stopped in for a brew. This place does take last call at 8pm so get in there early! Very nice open space downtown Helena. I had a Blonde Ale and it was delightful. Super cold and super smooth. They have a great line-up for all taste buds. The staff was really nice and explained things well. They have growlers you can purchase. It is a nice atmosphere and a very comfortable setting! Great little brewery located in the Gulch. A buddy and I really enjoyed the beer and the service. The 16K IPA and Bullwhacker were noteworthy offerings. One of the things that we really enjoyed was our visit with one of the three owners. He and two of his college buddies decided this was their "dream job" and started the business right out of college. It appears their growing pains are behind them in the learning process of becoming quality brewers because everything we sampled was very good. Good selection of beers. I've liked most of the ones I've tried. A good reason to come here is to get some work done in the afternoons. It's usually quiet. They have free wi-fi and some nice high tables by the windows where you can look out on the Walking Mall and either sit or stand. I like the spacious, bright atmosphere and the natural wood. They have nice outdoor seating as well, though the space restrictions don't allow for many tables. I'm looking forward to trying Downdogs and Draughts on a Sunday! read more

My friend I finally had an opportunity to try the new brewery in town. We went in on a Saturday at about 1:00. There were a few tables of people, so not busy at all. We walked in and glanced around and were impressed with the initial overall appearance. We approached the young lady at the bar to order a beer. I mentioned that it was our first time in and that I enjoyed IPA beer. I asked about the selections since there were 2 of them. Her answer was "Um, one has a higher something or other, I don't really know". I tried there "top" IPA. About all I could say about it was that it was cold. I was never offered a taste of either of them. My friend doesn't drink beer, so I can only go on my taste and opinion. It was lacking, flavor, the bitter hop taste and wonderful taste that a good IPA should have. The atmosphere is very cold, but what struck me the most is the employees/owners, not friendly, very carefree and couldn't honestly care about the customer. Craft beer is a fast growing business and it should be left to people who care about the product they put out, these people obviously don't care. It's unfortunate that they won't make it. read more

We came down on a Sunday morning for a yoga class and a pint (I had the What Not, and it was quite good) - definitely something worth checking out if you're up in time.
