This is one of the best pizza places I have eaten at! We came here two years ago and loved it and came back to town with more family two years later and I'm glad it is still the same amazing pizza place we remembered. The restaurant itself is small but very comfortable. It was a tight fit but we were able to fit our party of 10 at one table. The staff was very helpful in getting us all situated. It is so hard to pick a pizza because they all sound so delicious when reading them on the menu. We ended up getting the Sergio, pesto sauce, cheese, spinach, bacon and chicken. It was delicious! The crust is homemade in the restaurant and it is the best pizza crust I have had. They are able to get it thin and crispy, perfect! Ten Star Pizza Kitchen earned 10*... So, I gave 'em 5! The only thing that sux is how far away I live from this place. I dig the decor, the laid-back music. Ice tea was good. Lemon wedge was fresh, drinks are on crushed ice. Spinach salad was a good portion and pretty, had shaved Parmesan (no cheese dirt here!) and again, all very fresh. The cheese sticks are uniquely tasty, and happen to be my favorite thing we ordered today! They are a must-try when coming here. Our pizza was 1/2 Bob and 1/2 Don. I ate the Don (veggie) and enjoyed it. Our waitress was very cool. She entered our order prior to her rowdy 15-top so we didn't have to wait forever, and she kept the beverages full in spite of being very busy. My wife and I were staying at Lake Murray for the week. We went in to Ardmore for dinner and picked Ten Star. The place is very nice. Easy parking right outside. Great cold beer and the pizza was really good. My wife likes off beat pizzas and she had something with goat cheese. Olive oil no marinara. Figs, red onion and she loved it. 10 stars for Ten Star Pizza Kitchen! This place has figured it out. Delicious food and great ambience all wrapped up in some of the best customer service I've received in a long time! We recently held our niece's wedding reception at TSPK. the staff went out of their way to make the experience unforgettable. Ryan Matlack, the owner, even came in early in the day and stayed late during the reception to make sure we had everything we needed. Oh, and did I mention it was his birthday? That's right, he gave up his day and night for us. And, it clearly was not because he was concerned his staff could not handle it (because they were awesome), he just wanted to be available. All that said, here are some suggestions: 1. Eat the pizza. This is really good pizza. The kind that leaves you satisfied and not uncomfortable full. (The dough is made fresh EACH DAY). 2. Eat the pie. It's homemade (Ryan's mother's recipe!) and you can certainly tell. This is no take out of the freezer and put in the oven pie. I prefer the coconut cream, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. 3. Say "hi" to Ryan as he's sure to be there on most days. Enjoy!! read more

They cram a simple bowl of greens with avocado, shaved parmesan, bacon and a delightful house dressing that's so good, it'll make you want to count calories. We were driving through southern Oklahoma and stopped for gas. I decided it was close to eatin' time, so why not check Yelp to see where to try. Very near downtown (which is 7 miles east of I-35), Ten Star sits on the Main Street (literally) in what once must have been an antique store or tea room - the decor is contemporary and eclectic. One interesting item is the Charlie's Angels poster in the men's room - Come to think of it, I had to hide my Farah Fawcett poster in my closet too... ah memories of my childhood. The menu is pretty simple. One stand-out was the grill-cheese sandwiches. You can get a variety of cheeses, and it is more like a panini rather than a grilled sandwich. My mother and I ordered the "All American" which included bacon and tomato with the american cheese and bread. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich for my daughter, of which I was more than happy to finish the half she couldn't eat. I am getting the order of things we ate wrong: we started with a bowl of the tomato soup. Our server, Ben, recommended it and said he could live entirely off of it - we can see why. A funny thing happened in between placing our order with Ben and the soup arriving... on the back of the menu is the story of how the restaurant came to be. A gentleman came from the kitchen with little cups of the delicious soup offering samples to patrons. I asked if he was "Ryan" owner of the restaurant and he was. He was so happy with his latest batch of soup he had just whipped up in the kitchen that he was wanting everyone to try it (hence the samples). HERE is a man who's passion is cooking and sharing food. THIS is why this place deserves five stars and why you should take a break off I-35 to sample the soup. read more

Ten Star contributes a level of style and class that would be right at home in any large city. The decor is cute and modern; the menus look sleek and sophisticated. It is obvious that the owners are trying to elevate Ardmore's downtown scene, and through design alone, they have succeeded. The pizzas are among the best that I've had while here in the Texoma region. They only do thin crush, so deep-dish lovers will have to peruse their sandwich section (which looks pretty darn good, BTW), but fans of thin crust will find plenty to love in Ten Star's tasty pies. Their crust is nice and crispy towards the outside an slightly more pliant towards the center; they make a good sauce and use good cheese. Really, the only "complaint" I have -- a complaint which is more about personal preference than anything else -- is that they don't have a brick oven. If I could get that perfect, smokey char on that crust, then I might be tempted to bump Ten Star to five stars. They've got a few beers on hand, but unfortunately they don't have a tap system, and so all beers that you get here will be bottled. It's not a huge deal since it's only $3 for domestics and $4 for "imports" (I use quotation marks because Samuel Adams and Blue Moon aren't really imports, they're just better than the Bud/Miller/Coors/Michelob swill), but having beers on tap would be quite nice. Also, I wish they offered some quality porters, stouts, and IPAs . Again, I realize I'm being nitpicky, but little touches like these can make all the difference. Honestly, thought, Ten Star probably doesn't need to change a thing, because they're doing everything right already. Some minor adjustments here and there would help put them over the top, but in terms of the area they're already pretty damn close to the top. Upscale ambience, delicious pizza -- this place is everything that Ardmore's downtown needs. read more

Wow. I've visited Ardmore many times over the last 10 years and I was surprised to find the listing for this restaurant on Yelp - surprised to find one with such outstanding reviews. The 5 stars are 100% warranted. The interior design is definitely not small OK town, which seems to sharply contrast with the sign on the table as you walk in: "Seat yourself." Considering how hungry we were, that was almost a blessing. Anyway, the wait staff was courteous and genuine and was a little slow to greet initially, but made up for it the rest of the night. The food...ah, the food is outstanding!!! I was hoping for good for small town America (we're from the big city.) This was a meal I might drive for from the big city. The cheese sticks were the best I've ever had (and I've tried many.) On recommendation from a review, we ordered the tomato soup after the fact and boy was that the right call - infreakingcredible! I had a regular (personal size) Bob and my wife had a same size pepperoni and mushroom. The pizza was fresh tasting and just the right thickness of crust. Some places seem to think thin crust means cardboard, not at Ten Star. Loads of toppings and the perfect sauce. Finally, we were already thinking about dessert and the waiter offered it right up. We chose the chocolate pie, which for me is awesome but for my wife is meh. She was surprised and I was blown away. A HUGE piece of pie comes out covered in whip cream. We were scraping the plate in minutes is all I can say. I drive from Dallas up the 35 corridor regularly and I will definitely be taking the 10 minute detour in the future!! Our family recently had lunch at Ten Star as a meeting spot between OKC and DFW. We were celebrating news of a baby on the way and primarily chose Ten Star because it looked kid friendly for the grandchildren. The pizza dough given to the children to play with while we waited for pizzas was just the beginning of a wonderful experience for us all! Not only were the appetizers and pizzas delicious (many unique and wonderful options), the service was outstanding. We truly felt welcomed into a very special place; our waiter made our time at Ten Star so very special. The entire restaurant celebrated with us as the gender of our newest addition was revealed! It's our first night in Ardmore and we stopped in for a late dinner. I was little nervous taking my 5 year old as it seemed a little upscale for the area. Arlene was our waitress and she was perfect! We ordered a large Caesar salad and medium pepperoni and pineapple pizza to share. We missed the rush so it was quiet but Arlene assured us that it's actually a kid friendly establishment and encouraged to come back for lunch. She recommended the Relax Riesling and it was SO GOOD. Haven't been to Ten Star in a while now and this afternoon my family and I decided to stop in to grab some pizza for lunch. After walking into the restaurant aside from a waitress glancing over at us and going about her conversation with another person we were not greeted in any way. After seating ourselves and looking over the menu ready to order there was still no one who came to greet or take our order. At this time the restaurant was not busy nor crowded but being ignored by the staff working there is no way to treat your guests. After arguing with my family on which of the 3 usual restaurants in Ardmore to eat at, I decided to see what Yelp! suggested. Ten Star had great reviews and my sisters and I can always agree on pizza. The decor was very nice and had a quiet calm atmosphere. The cheese sticks were hand made with Swiss cheese instead of mozzarella but were surprisingly delicious. My mom and I split the side salad with a very nice house made vinaigrette dressing. And the pizza was amazing. The sauce was wonderfully seasoned with just the right amount on the pizza. It also had just the right amount of cheese. The crust was perfect, thin but not too thin. I will definitely be suggesting Ten Star when ever I'm arguing with my family on what's for dinner. read more

First let me say it was very good pizza. But the value was not there for me. You can see by the picture post a regular is very small. It was 11 dollars for a pizza and I believe four dollars for the soup (which was also very good although it needed a little more heavy cream for body).
