Tenders had great tenders!! Unfortunately they no longer have daily weekday specials like they used to advertise, so prices are definitely higher. It also seemed like my tenders were half from a new batch and half old (cold and dry), so I would suggest coming in during prime lunch or dinner hours for better quality control. Very flavorful food! If you're looking for your cheat day meal, comfort food, or just some good fried chicken go there! I had the chicken wings with the tender sauce, a side salad and onion rings. The onion rings were freshly fried and just amazing!! I would go a little easy on the wing sauce next time. It was too much for me. Chicken Tenders, the quintessential american food! You know what else they have? Fried pickles! Its a great place to grab lunch around the UCF area. There are deals on Tuesdays ( 5 grilled /6 fried pieces - 7.99 deals) and Thursday (3 grilled /4 fried pieces - 5.99 deals) that make it a extra good deal. The tenders are well always tender and its mostly always seasoned well. I like the grilled version the best because its still very flavorful and have the smokey grilled flavor. The fried ones aren't bad and are super crispy but remains tender on the inside. The fries are okay but I totally go for the fried pickles. It is in a corn meal coating so its not thick and its your kosher dill type of pickles. For dessert, although I never tried them, they have fried EVERYTHING. Oreos. Candy Bars. FRIED. Crazy! I never had to courage to try cause I might have a heart attack after eating it. The restaurant is small and gets unbelievably busy starting 11:45 so make sure when you get there you have the patience to wait for a seat. I can go to Tenders any day for lunch if I'm ever around the UCF area. The customer service is really nice and the food is pluckin good. For $5.27, I got the 2 pc tender basket with fries and garlic bread. The chicken was really steaming hot, crispy, moist, and went well with the "tender's" sauce. Absolutely delicious, best chicken in the area. My friend and I went in and got the six piece combo to share. The chicken was piping hot, fresh, seasoned, and delicious. We got mashed potatoes as a side and they were pretty unremarkable. Would probably get only chicken or try a different side item. Service was a little slow but the fresh chicken made it worth it. Will absolutely be back regularly for the best chicken by UCF. They also have a deal Tuesdays and Thursday's for a four and six piece convo respectively. Good prices. read more

I've been here a couple of times as it's so close to work, and I have to say that ever since they've gotten new management; tenders is a lot better now than when it first opened. What really sets them apart from the other chicken tender places like Magoo's is the variety that they have. They have this fried fish sandwich with the aoli with the coconut roll and it arrives hot and Delicious.. OMG.. there are just no words; seriously. It's like a taste of the Caribbean right here in Orlando. Very well done. I'm also really impressed with the fact that they have roti on the menu, and while I haven't tried it yet; one of my friends says he loves it. And of course, this wouldn't be much of a review if I left out the deep fried goodies. Savory things like fried pickles and fried mac n cheese all the way to the sweets like deep fried candy bars, Twinkies, cookie dough; oh my!! I have tried the cookie dough. The powdered sugar gave it that extra layer of "Oh my god, I think I'm having a heart attack" goodness. Balance it out with a salad and then you can convince yourself that you didn't eat THAT badly. Because I came in on a Monday they have this deal where you can get four tenders, one side, garlic bread, and a drink for $6 plus tax. It came out to be around $6.41. The girl that took my order was friendly and the facility was clean, although small but that's normal for chicken tender restaurants I feel. The tenders itself is good. It's moist, seasoned just right and the fries are crunchy. I enjoyed the garlic bread and the tender sauce the most. Garlic bread wasn't overpowering. Overall I liked my meal because it didn't make me feel like I was eating a bunch of salt and oil as I feel like with some chicken tender restaurants! Where was I this whole time... This place may be a top con'tender' when it comes to chicken joints, plus its halal - so I can take my friends. Ordered a 4 piece combo with onion rings. First of all, its a rarity finding onion rings anywhere and they're my weakness, so I'm already happy. Price was under $10 with a tip, so it fits a college budget pretty well. Taste wise, It was all so fresh - ate the whole thing before I could take a pic, but it looks like what you'd think fried chicken looks like. The onion rings were super crispy, and the tenders were juicy and flavorful. Even the BREAD was hot and fresh. Sometimes you'll get fried foods and you can tell its been sitting under the heat lamp for a bit, definitely didn't experience that here. I got the honey-garlic bbq sauce on the side. Their current Tuesday deal can't be beat where you get chicken tenders, 2 sides (cole slaw, hush puppies, fries, etc), bread and a drink for $6! Restaurant seems to be family owned and run with very attentive and friendly service. I have been to Tenders's many of times. It is one my coworkers favorites.. Needless to say I ordered the 6 piece special grilled to go today; the tenders were burnt so badly that I broke two plastic forks trying to eat it. The side salad lettuce was slightly brown as well. Being a UCF Alumni, I can say I used to go to this place a lot when I was going to school. IT used to be one of my favorite spots and I always recommended it over Huey Magoo's when friends wanted to go out. My most recent visit I was sorely disappointed. When my friend and I first walked in, no one was at the counter, it was 1pm on a gameday but empty so I guess the cashier decided it was dead and would come out to check if anyone had walked in. I decided to order my normal chicken basket with Jalapeno corn nuggets, fries and the jalapeno ranch sauce. Funny enough, the cashier explained that they don't have the corn nuggets anymore(even though they are on the menu) This sucked because as I said that's usually what I liked to get and it's what made Tenders stand out against other chicken places. The rest of my meal was ok, but after taking about 10 minutes to get my food and then realizing it wasn't even that hot, I must say I wasn't impressed. I used to have such a great meal here just 2 years ago, I couldn't believe it had gotten so lackluster within that short amount of time. My next visit to UCF probably won't include a trip to Tenders. read more
