I did use a Groupon to go to this place, our Groupon was for, tasting, cheese board, souvenir glass. They make it sound like it would be an experience, though it was pretty much a regular tasting with three rows of cheese and three stacks of crackers. Considering that we had purchased three of the Groupons you would think that they would have maybe fluffed it up a little bit, I thought maybe we would have been tasting our wine while we had our cheese, but we just stood at the counter doing shots of wine which was somewhat tasteless. I get that they don't use extra flavors, but it was pretty nondescript. The view from the back porch was nice however we did need to purchase something to wash down the cheese, and it had to ask for our souvenir glass, which I think possibly if I didn't ask for it they wouldn't have offered. I don't know if I would recommend this place? They were very friendly, and accommodating somewhat. I know I wouldn't waste my money on the Groupon experience. read more

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion but we really didn't like the wine. We purchased a Groupon and got a cheese plate with 2 wine glasses. For $8 more we added salami and fig spread. This was a great getaway from the tourist attractions of Pidgeon Forge. Many of the same varietals are available in dry, semi sweet, or sweet. I've never seen that at a winery before. The ladies that were serving samples were very friendly and knowledgeable. They did a great job of explaining and making suggestions. I asked questions about the winery's processes and they were able to confidently explain production. We were looking for a winery that was off the beaten path. The normal wineries were all on the strip of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. Those wineries were all the same, sweet, and more sweet wine for expensive prices for fruit wines. This place was the opposite as those. They had some amazing wine at this place. We did a wine tasting, our pourer was Bow who was awesome let me say this now and at the end of our review. He told us to select 6 wines that we want to taste. They were listed if they were dry, sweet, or semi-sweet and some of the wines had all three different sugar blends available, which I never seen before and like the concept. He said that the grapes are grown at the main location in Charleston, TN. What is different is what isn't your typical grape and is considered a muscadine grapes. These grapes are sweeter only because of the lower to warmer climates can only grow these style of grapes compared to a normal grape style like a Riesling, Chardonnay etc; but the wines were dry, I had 6 dry wines that blew me away that you can make them dry still. My favorite was the Cabernet Sauvignon (best seller) and the Cuyahoga White (dry) white that was sensational. We also had a 4 person(which looked like more) charcuterie board. He had an awesome layout of salami, peppered salami, and different cheeses. We got some wine to go and found out that they ship to Pennsylvania as well, this is truly a good find. I enjoyed this place quite a lot. Our family likes to visit winery's when we get a chance and this one didn't disappoint. It is quite small but it's nice and relaxing. We were able to have a free wine tasting which was amazing, much better than blindly choosing and paying for a glass of wine we may not like. Upon the tasting was completed, we all decided to purchase a glass and two different charcuterie boards. To say it was ALL delicious, would be falling short. My family and i recently stayed in Sevierville TN and i was going through Groupon to see if i could find any fun activities nearby and i came across this winery. I'm so glad that i did because it was a really nice experience. Once you buy the Groupon you have to call the place to make a reservation. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The place is small but cute. You get a card with all of the wines they have and you select a total of four to taste. The tasting glasses are very small like a shot glass size. The Groupon did also include a cheese board but for $8 extra dollars you can make it into a charcuterie board which we did. We were also offered a taste of their booze slushies and OMG they were amazing. I highly recommend to try their slushies as well specially to cool off from that TN heat. All of their wines are locally made except one of them which is nice. Once we had our tasting we ordered a bottle of wine plus two slushies along with our charcuterie board and sat outside. The view of the mountains is amazing. Such a peaceful relaxing experience and when i return to TN i'm certainly stopping here again. The Groupon was such a hit because after us came a ton of young couples and groups that also found the place because of Groupon. They have a large lot with bean bag games and tables. We loved all of their wines, and the setting and vibe was super relaxing. They offer six free tasting samples when you arrive. They are a family owned business and you can tell because their personable service reflects that. We went on a day it was raining, but they also have a really nice deck outside with a beautiful view. My family and I were in Pigeon Forge for vacation last week. One of the days, my husband and I decided to drop the kids off at a water park and head to this winery for some wine and cheese!! The wines are pretty good. But the slushies?! They were fantastic. They had 2 different kinds. We sampled both. I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I just got it mixed. It was great. The woman helping us was patient and helpful. And the view? Come on. It was incredible!! We are from Indiana. So all we have is a bunch of flat land. They have tables outside. So it was perfect. We stopped at this winery after a day of hiking. There wasn't anyone else in the winery, so we enjoyed a tasting by ourselves. What we tried: Mountain Rose - concord and Catawba blend - this one was great! Seasons Harvest Blend - muscadine and concord blend - this one was only okay. Mountain Mist - Catawba - just okay White Muscadine - scuppernong - just okay Apple - just okay, not much apple flavor Peach - just okay, not peachy at all. Blackberry - good Raspberry - not much raspberry, probably why I thought it was good since I don't like raspberry. Blueberry - just okay Midnight Blue - blackberry and blueberry - this one was great! Appleberry - apple and cranberry - this one was great! Strawberry and raspberry - just okay, but my husband liked this one. Overall, I felt like their fruit wines did not have their intended flavor and were really subpar. The blends on the other hand had a lot of flavor and were much better. One big gripe - we were interested in buying one wine glass while we were there. Just one....we were there....paying customers in person already.... And we were told no because they were low in stock and were holding out in case someone purchased a groupon offer that they had going on. While we did leave with a couple bottles of wine, that did leave a poor taste in my mouth and if we are in the area again, we will go back to another winery instead. read more

Locally owned. Nathan is amazing and super knowledgeable of his wines. His family owns it and their vineyard is based outside of Cleveland, TN. He convinced them to get a place in the Smokies and they've been opened a little over a month. What I love about it is all the different types and they produce 97% of the product. Meaning, the fruits in the wine are from his vineyard. They outsource the apples and peaches. I sampled the peach wine and felt it was better to stick to their product. He agreed. Excellent customer service and cute place. I really enjoyed it and prices are so reasonable. They're catered to local demographic more than the tourist and I can respect that. I visited a ton of wineries on my visit to Pigeon Forge. Most of them seemed like they were jumping on the gravy train, throwing some yeast in a juice box and adding syrup. It was grossly sweet. No matter the flavor. If they had a dry option, it was so dry it took the saliva from your tongue. But when I stumbled upon Tennessee Mountainview Winery in Wear Valley, that all changed. I feel like they put thought, effort and passion for excellent wine in their bottles. This Cayuga White was by far my favorite! A cross between a chard and a reisling, it is perfectly semi-sweet and such a treat. You can taste the flavors instead of the sugar. Please give this place some love!
