    Go see a movie!

I love movies. I better as I'm a Regal Unlimited member with Diamond Status (or at least I was until my status disappeared abruptly). Anyway, this is a grand yet quant theater which I highly recommend and I'll tell you why. It's very comfortable and clean! Sometimes theaters can prove too crowded and cold (though in a post Covid world crowded is debatable). There is a nice bar which allows for convenient seating if you're waiting on a friend or more. Concessions are plentiful as they should be, staff members were friendly and engaging and the theater seats were just roomy enough. I always end up using the facilities wherever I go (as one does) and the bathrooms were spotless with top of the line hand dryers at EVERY sink! This may seem ostentatious to some but it makes perfect sense! Inventory was happening while I was there and this DID NOT detract from team members from answering some of my questions which I appreciated. Although the spot has only eight theaters they are perfectly fine and some would be ideal if a company wants to rent out an entire theater for a private screening! I plan to see at least 22 movies in 2022 so look for my return Riviera staff and maybe have a team member say hi when I take my seat at the bar. See you at the movies!

A large, clean move theatre in downtown Knoxville like Regal Riviera is the perfect place to go when the whether doesn't allow for outside activities. I was a little disappointed inn the menu options available. I scoured the website to find a menu but was unable to locate one. I posted a picture here but nothing really sounded appetizing to me. They do have beer here but there was no one at the bar when I was there so I was unable to order a drink.

My favorite place to watch a movie. Nice attentive staff. Clean and comfortable. Never had a bad experience here. The food menu has evolved into top of the line food choices...not to mention the bar. Movie theatres have come a long way and this is one of the best! Want to do dinner and a movie? Go for it!

Regal Cinemas had truly inspired concept with the Regal Riviera Stadium movie theater. They took an old (nearly 100 years old!!) movie theater downtown, and completely rennovated it into a modern, state of the art cinema masterpiece. The layout and style of it is reminiscent the old-fashioned movie houses of yore. Yet, the modern digital technology that ranges from digital ticket kiosk, digital menu screens, and Dyson hand dryers in the bathrooms, all remind you that you're in the 21st century. There is a giant picture in the lobby that's probably two stories tall, of the movie theater in the early 1900's. Regal Cinemas headquarters are in Knoxville. So, I guess they thought this modern marvel would add pizazz to the revitalized downtown area. The Riviera is right next to the famous Tennessee Theater. It is also near many shops and restaurants, and is convenient to the University of Tennessee campus. Also, the customer service is great. Very friendly. Regal Cinemas really hit a homerun with this inspired movie theater. It is only two or three years old, so it still smells new. If you have a chance to check it out, it's an amazing moviegoing experience. Five stars.

I was at the first showing of Star Wars "The Last Jedi" 3D in Knoxville Tn. Walking in off of Gay street downtown reminded me of the ole times from the outside lopking in, but once I walked into the massive square footage of popcorn and electronic kiosks I lost that sense of nostalgia. They even had a bar of sorts, beer and wine only and only 3 drinks after age verification. The place was very clean for the noon matinee and candy lined the concession stand where sandwiches and other finger foods are available also. Every employee there was very happy and eager to assist a person as needed. The first twenty minutes after entering the theater; where I would watch one of the best Star Wars movies since episode III, was commercials of upcoming movies and other waste of my time. I watched again at the 4pm showing in standard format and a clear difference in theater cleanliness for certain. Packed by college students and hundreds more people the whole place got small with not enough restrooms and lines that made the wastefull 20 minutes at the start of the showing seem justified to those less prepared. Regal has many theaters and this one a bit small, but location is everything and they did whay they could. P.S. A brand new Starbucks opening very soon very close by.

$8 for the small popcorn? Even LA has cheaper popcorn. Last time supporting these money hungry owners.

Such a fun visit while in Knoxville…read more The staff at the front desk was welcoming and informative. We particularly enjoyed seeing the model rooms and learning about the architecture. I want to go visit those houses now! Free museum. It's not too big but you can spend 1-2 hours here.

When we arrived, the lady up front for our check-in asked how we had heard of them. I'm like... "Uh... It's art. We go where art is. We love art." I couldn't think of any other answer that fit the boxes she was checking. I love art, and that's where you can find me. It didn't fit any of her checkboxes, she waited a moment like she was waiting for me to say something else before saying, "Oh, that's a new reason we're going to have to add" or something like that. One of the usher girls understood what I was saying. No shame on the lady... it was just odd. I don't just hear about museums. I see if a city has one and I go. In my world, that's a 100,000 percent normal thing. I still laugh about it. You'll have fun here. If you've visited major art museums in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Philly, Chicago, NY, or SF, you'll still have fun here, but it won't be the famous paintings you're looking for. If you're in Knoxville and have time to spare, I'd visit, but it's not an absolute must-do thing.
