It was my first time at Tennis Ace and I can tell you...certainly not my last. I walked in looking for a new racket and Bruce immediately came up to me and assisted me in selecting one. He provided me lots of information, his recommendations, and explained everything in detail. Although there were so many good ones to choose from, I finally made a decision. I then was able to select which colored string I wanted and Bruce strung it for me within 20 minutes. Bruce even included tennis balls free with my purchase. Needless to say, I have a new racket and I am very excited. Bruce, Jeff, and Andrew thank you!! I will be back soon for all of my tennis needs.

My husband and I are glad we went here. Bruce is so informative, knows his products, very easy to talk with and straightforward. Excellent customer service indeed. I have no prior knowledge on selecting racquets and all I care for is the color. So I put my trust on Bruce and followed his recommendation. And wow, it now feels like I have a racquet tailored to my needs. Perfect grip and weight for me! Thank you. We will definitely be back.

I went in to get a new racket and they recommended me these Head Radical and I love them!

I went into the store and there was a single guy stringing some rackets. I can't remember his name but he was super helpful! There's apparently only two of them, on was Bruce whom I met when I went to pick up my racket and the other one was a tall white guy. Very professional, very helpful! He asked me what kind of rackets I generally prefer, my play style, and my skill level. Through talking I went with the Head Radical, but I went in looking for a babolat product. I've hit with enough head rackets to know that I generally like their rackets and the way they normally build their frame and string patterns to give an adequate balance of control and power. As an intermediate player I prefer control over power but I wanted something that would also give a nice explosive power if needed. I thought their recommendation was perfect. They helped me choose my grip size based on my hand grip, and they had my racket done the next day. Great service! Also look at the nigiri string dampeners they sell in store! Suhweeeeet!

    Great assortment!

I have been coming to Tennis Ace for a few years since I moved to Los Angeles and usually only review restaurants but felt compelled to comment on their excellent service today. My son bought his first Junior racket with the help of the owner Bruce who took extensive time to help us pick out the right one but being nine years old my son changed his mind after he played with it. We had no business asking for an exchange but Bruce was very kind to help us out. There is a fine assortment of products and unlike a lot of other small businesses, the prices are as competitive as online products of the same sport. In a time of everybody ordering through the mail it's nice to go in to a small business and get service from the actual owner. I highly recommend this place for all your Tennis needs in the San Fernando Valley

I felt that Vaz is a very detailed tennis pro and pay lots of attention on everything. He also points out what you did wrong right away and find a way to correct it. Now I am a solid 3.5 players in my opinion (been USTA sectionals a few times and won a few USTA, WTT and GLTA tournaments now). I don't think I can make this far without Vaz's lessons. If you want to advance to the next level(s), you should give Vaz a try and see how he can help you to make it happen. Highly recommended!!!

Vaz is probably the best teacher or coach I've ever had. I can honestly say it is very rare to find…read moresomeone as good as he is who can teach people of all ages and all levels and make every lesson fun. I began taking lessons with him when I was just 6 years old and have been working with him for a total of 16 years now. When I was younger, he taught me the basics and helped me develop a solid form and foundation that I continue to carry with me today. As I got older, Vaz would point out the fine details of what I needed to adjust to be better, and through repetition he helped me turn that basic groundstroke into a wicked forehand. In my sophomore year of high school I was brought onto my school's Varsity team. I consistently played as one of the top players, and none of that would have been possible without the training Vaz gave me. He helped me with both my doubles and singles game and was patient with me through skills that were harder for me to learn, like serves or volleys. When I would return home from breaks during college, I would do lessons with Vaz and it is always a fantastic form of exercise and learning at once. Tennis is such an enjoyable sport, and it can be made even more enjoyable by learning from a teacher like Vaz who exhibits patience, knowledge, and understanding. Through all this time Vaz has been so kind to me and my family - we all think he is the best and each of us has taken lessons here and there! Additionally, as a shy kid there was so much value in lessons as learning tennis definitely increased my self-confidence. If you're looking for an awesome instructor who will help you reach your goals and make your experience of learning enjoyable along the way, definitely go to Vaz! Like I said earlier, in the years that I've seen Vaz teach, it is amazing that he teaches people of literally all ages and skill levels. Can't recommend Vaz enough!!!

It's close to home and offers a lot of activities to do. It has children's playground equipment, 2 basketball courts, 4 BIG, tennis courts, a dirt track, clean bathrooms, picnic area, nice spacious landscape and the most important, it's kept nice and clean. This park is one of my favorite parks in Studio City. They have recreation areas and can let you sign up for sports/classes that interests you. Recently, I had taken few classes with couple of their teachers/coaches and they are WONDERFUL! Earlier this morning I went to play tennis with one of my friends. Tennis is one of my favorite sports to watch and to play. We don't keep score. We just like to play and have fun. You can walk, jug, people walk their dogs, kids, they have picnic areas and do a lot of kids birthday parties.. or you can just simply sit in silence and enjoy nature, the sunlight and have a good, peaceful time. Private lot parking, or street nearby parking. They are closed on Sundays. Kind of weird, but it's their rules, not mine. That's when people usually spend time with their families. I am not going to dock a star for that since it meets all the other amenities & requirements.

Six courts and they are all lighted!! -Courts aren't totally trashed. May find abandoned tennis metal lids, leftover snacks, and a trail of ants near the benches but get cleaned at some point. -Useable filtered water fountain that has come in handy during hot days -I've been safe. There are homeless in daytime but they do gather around and prowl at night. On a random night, I played here close to midnight- 2am and I wasn't bothered. Cons: -Super long wait times to get a court -a lot of homeless. I've never been harmed or too bothered. I've had a few flashes of unclothed people. -The ambiance can be a bit whack depending on the type of people around. You've got normal people just wanting to play tennis, old folks that play here all the time and want to coach you, coaches expecting you to leave the court mid-game so they can do their private lessons (which is not allowed because I called the city and coaches need a permit to hold lessons here! Only 1 coach has a permit and he's at the last court, always). Players who yell, cuss, and play explicit loud music on their speaker... -Real world vibe. I've had a few arguments at these courts too which has caused me to not come as much/ call the city. I normally keep to myself and only come here to practice by myself since it's most convenient.
