Lots of parties, tournaments. This place is a gem! 50 of the hundred residential units have turned over in the past five years. New owners are primarily 50s tennis enthusiasts so the community and club is much younger than other Coachella Valley communities. The clubhouse renovation that is scheduled for this summer with completion in October 25 is going to be stunning. Check out the photos from the season opener Gilligan's Island themed party!

They have a focus on tennis and do a good job getting people involved. Residents have access to the courts, but non-residents can also join the club and play tennis here. We have friends from Palm Desert who don't have tennis in their communities, and chose to join PDTC. One service that sets PDTC apart is that pros are available about every day, and help organize games for you. Tell Melanie your level and when you want to play and she can find you a game. "I'm in town and would like to play Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9. I'm a 4.0 and would like to play men's doubles." You can probably get a pretty good game organized. After a few days you might be able to build up a network of local players at your level. There is also a group of advanced players 4.5 and up, which can be harder to find. They also have pickleball if you like that sort of thing. The homes are comfortable condos arranged in groups of 20 units surrounding a pool and hot tub. You're close to El Paseo and the dining and shopping options of Palm Desert so you have a good location going for you here also.

Long Review: I came with a group 12 to play a leisurely round of golf, and was pleasantly surprised by the grounds and the course. The guys in the Pro Shop are pretty friendly and do a good job of getting you oriented to where to tee off on the first hole (it's not close). The course butts up against the Santa Rosa Mountains and is just so picturesque as you're playing. The course itself has a few holes that feature water and waterfalls so the whole experience is just very pleasant. The course itself only has a few watering stations and just one snack bar, and in the off season (the summer) there is no food/drink cart, so make sure you eat early and bring water/drinks. Despite that, it is such a great well-maintained course. I will definitely be going back! Highly recommend. It's one of the best courses I've played.

The clubhouse is filled with ancient memorabilia, historic trophies of past tournaments and not to mention pictures of all celebrities and presidents who have played here. Curcis is your Breakfast Lunch and dinner destination. This is a very casual spot and has a lax club clothing rule. Imagine pub meets diner with an incredible view. The menu changes a bit from season to season to keep the menu fresh, exciting and to incorporate the seasonal flavors of the desert. 8 beers on tap, Full bar, and all the sports entertainment to keep you posted on the leaderboard at the PGA tournament. I can't say it enough the members here are some of the best people in the dessert, everyone is kind, warm and welcoming. Did I mention they love to socialize and have incredible member events to get everyone to meet, eat, and play. Honestly I know there are way bigger clubs but this club isn't just a country club. This a community where members get together and call it home.
