Had an event there there and event manager Alex was very rude and disrespectful. It was like she didn't want to be there and help. Lied many times to family about information about the event. Pointing at guest talking about people during the event. Wouldn't give ice for water. whispering to the bartender saying comment about people at the event. We felt that the ac was off They explained that the AC was on, but it was hot in the event room one of the girls attending the party had a bloody nose because of how hot it was. We've had events there before and never had a problem, but this time it was different we felt unwelcome and very rushed during the event. I would not recommend this place for events because of how rude the event Manager was. But one thing I do have to say the staff there was very amazing. The people working our event were very helpful. We're very respectful.i wish I would have gotten her name. read more

Bring your own water! Unlike the others courses, Cimarron doesn't spare a single drop of water until the 9th Hole. For some reason it's more scarce than a barrel of oil from Iran. Almost forgot, no trash cans on this course. Possibly, the "armpit" course of the desert. read more

WHAT A JOKE!!! it was literally 95 degrees yesterday and they had ONE water station on the entire course -- and IT WAS BONE DRY!!! No fountains either - so I called the pro shop to ask for them to send someone out with water, and someone met us on THE 18TH HOLE!!! That, and one set of outhouses on the course made for a VERY OVERRATED COURSE - especially for $150!! read more

Pure greens! Played the Pebble course which had some challenging and fun par 3's. No tee time, was able to walk on and start playing as soon as I arrived. The employees in the cart coral were awesome and provided amazing service. They loaded and strapped my golf bag to the cart for me. When I was finished playing they even unloaded my bag and cleaned my irons. What a great experience and I will definitely come back when visiting the area again. read more

Paid $130 for our round here on a Sunday morning. Guys in the pro shop were great upon check in. Outside of that, the greens didn't appear to be cut as they were fairly inconsistent. Course is very open and not too challenging so if you are looking for a good warmup round to your golf trip this could be a good spot. Worst part of my experience here was that there is no turn after the front 9 to grab a quick food/drink before starting back 9. Also there is no restrooms at all for your entire round. Only a couple of porter potties placed. For $132 I would not play this course again in all honestly due to the facilities, but the golf was not bad. read more

The eight of us returned here a year later today. What I took away today - cart path varied from 60-100 yards out from the green on most of the holes. This meant carrying several clubs including my putter. And then having to walk from the green back to the golf cart which also varied from 25-40 yards. I don't recall having to do this last year but it might have been the case. As a result of all this walking it'll be awhile before we return if ever. read more

Nice par 3 course. My wife has been picking up golfing. Other than the not in their control weather, we had a great time. Very playable par 3 course for beginner golfers with little to no water hazards except hole 18. It made for a fun afternoon and my wife says she would like to play here again when we visit next time. read more

2 beautiful courses with a fantastic backdrop of the mountains. Not a well known course due to its somewhat secluded location, so usually not too busy. The restaurant "On the Rocks" and bar serve well above average food and drinks @ reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly. Only complaint is the parking lot always looks bad. There seems to be little effort to landscape or provide attractive trash cans so trash is strewn about. People seem to come there just to drink and leave their beer bottles, etc. on the ground. Resurfacing the parking lot, putting up a few cameras, some landscaping & trash receptacles truly would be a game changer for this club. read more

Course totally burned out except for the greens which were in adequate to good condition. In addition to the horrible course conditions in the fairway and rough there is no water available on the course- in the desert! And no beverage cart either. Positives: Love both courses, staff is generally great, availability for tee times good, Players club membership is total bargain, grab them while you can, and notwithstanding what i will say below, will be playing here for next few years, but selectively on the Pebble. Negatives: 8 minute tee time gaps for a PAR 3 COURSE!!! If you are a regular golfer on full size courses, you know that the biggest backups occur on par 3's. When you have a 3 or 4'some, two or more missing the green, a par 3 hole is going to take AT LEAST 10 minutes, if not 12 or more, so, doing the math, by mid-day, gridlock... Staff doesn't care, because they can't really move this along like when there is slow play, this isn't slow, this is just not enough time between groups, plus you get a lot more, shall we say, less experienced folks, on a par 3 course. Won't be back on this course during season, other than early day. I left today after it taking over 1.5 hours to play 7 holes on a par 3 course... waiting 7-12 minutes on each tee box. Again, great course, love it, but not at par 72 playing times. read more

Keep in mind this review is specifically for the Boulder Course at Cimarron Golf Resort, so if you play at the Pebble Course you may get a completely different experience but I doubt it. I recently played a round at Cimarron Golf Resort, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. The overall condition of the course was disappointing. The greens were in particularly poor shape -- patchy, inconsistent, and extremely difficult to putt on. It was the equivalent to putting in a sand bunker. It was clear that maintenance has not been a priority. Beyond the greens, the rest of the course also left a lot to be desired. Tee boxes and fairways felt neglected, and the layout didn't make up for the condition. The fairways were very poor, patchy, it was like hitting off the cart path. When booking a tee time I was under the impression the course would be at its best quality, but when I arrived both the fairways and greens were air rated. It would have been nice to know before paying FULL PRICE to play. To add onto the countless issues with this God forsaken course my party played this course on a hot weekend day and throughout the entire 18 holes we didn't see a single cart girl once. We would've liked to buy some drinks at multiple points in the round. What's worse is for being a course in the desert there weren't any water stations either which sucked. For the price, I was expecting a much higher standard of playability and care. To say the least I'm never coming back. I typically don't leave negative reviews, but I feel other golfers should be aware before booking a tee time. With so many great courses in the area, I would recommend looking elsewhere unless significant improvements are made. read more

Great views. ----- Longer Review We visited Southern California - Palm Desert, Yucaipa, and Malibu - for Spring Break 2021. We have been to Palm Desert many times and, yet, we have only played golf there once, before the kids were born. On this trip we wanted to play, but taking the heft and bulk of the clubs would be "worth it" only if we played more than once. We debated a bit in whether or not to bring the clubs; in the end we decided to bring them and Cimmaron made the decision a good one. We did not know about Cimmaron before heading to Palm Desert / Palm Springs. We asked the hotel for recommendations on where to play and they guided us to call and schedule through Standby Golf. So we called and Dave listened and recommended Cimmaron. It was a good recommendation. We ordered and paid for our tee times that morning, right there on the phone and then showed up later that afternoon and played... upon arrival they welcomed us to our carts. We had time for a little putting and then we were at the first tee. We played in the afternoon; mid-March in the desert is nice and not too hot. We got some sun and had fun playing. The views are wonderful along all the holes, whether they face Mt. San Jacinto or not. The course is a good mix of par 5, 4, & 3 holes. While there are few water hazards there are several traps. Some of the greens are deceiving, keeping you on your toes to find the right line to the cup. While this was the first time the four of us ever played golf together, the same is not the case for our much younger cousin. At 7 he's a great golfer, and he played this course very well... it was fun watching him play! And, as an extra treat, on the back nine, our daughter and I saw a roadrunner... this is the third time we've seen a roadrunner (like the cartoon but shorter) on a vacation in Palm Springs, and each time was on a blessed Sunday! We just finished a month in Palm Springs and spent a lot of time at either Boulder or Pebble at Cimarron. I can't recommend it enough. The Golf Attendants (Josh, Ryan, Mark and Cilantro....sage) were terrific, from the initial bag drop off to a thorough cleaning and friendly chat at the end of each round. The Pro Shop is well managed, and do yourself a big favor by enjoying the restaurant. We ate our way through the menu, with particular fondness for their specials. They have a good pour too. Anyway, the courses are well maintained and the support services and amenities made it our favorite place to golf. We will be back. Thank you read more

The overall rating of 3.5 stars for this golf course is just about right but I am glad to round up the rating because of the effect of the recent rains on the course. I originally booked the course on a Tuesday which turned out to be a heavy downpour day and so I scheduled it for Friday at 2.16 pm. The price of $130 for the earlier tee times seem a little expensive but I know that the spring months is prime time. The course is very popular and this creates a few problems with parking and available golf carts. The course itself is not hilly and quite walkable. The conditions are excellents thanks to the recent rains and the greens were fast and true. There was going to be a junior tournament over the weekend so I think the course was set up for that. The wind was a little blustery at times especially during the afternoon and early evening hours which did affect some of my scores. The pace of the course was very good and the foursome I was playing with completed it in just under 4 hrs 15 mins. read more

The resort was closed after a tropical storm came through the area, but they never notified us either through email or a phone call. We showed up and waited 15 minutes on the phone for someone to then tell us they were closed and we had to wait 7-10 business days for a refund. read more

Iʻm giving this course three stars largely due to the lack of facilities on the course. If you are a guy - plenty of places, but if youʻre a woman, expect to use a portable outhouse on the course. The course itself was nicely maintained with cold water stations. The large course is generally straight with little variation of challenge as it runs the length of the drainage ditch overflow area. The food options were yummy and a nice relief as we played the large course in the morning and then the executive course in the same day. Beautiful course, Terrible property. Management is rude and very unhelpful. God forbid you lose something on the course and need some help finding it as you are now 3 hours away. Called 3 days in a row only to get the runaround and told I would be given a call back numerous times. No one called. Then! They get super annoyed when you call them multiple times looking for answers. The item I lost is worth HUNDREDS of dollars. I hate to do this but I can't let anyone go through the frustration that I'm going through. Such a shame that such a nice property can be ruined by a**hol=s. Oh and BTW, if you do golf there.... don't hope for a bathroom ANYWHERE on the course. Just go in the bushes and hope no one sees you. read more

They do close the pro shop early and do not have any cart services, so be prepared with extra water/drinks when you go. read more

Go to this course if your have the bladder of mythical creature because do not offer bathrooms with your $120 green fees. The mountains in the background made the round manageable but the group behind us made the round miserable. The Marshall was really nice he gets a major boom but price was a major doom. $120 on a Saturday to feel like you need to speed up on every shot is a complete rip off take your business elsewhere. Biggest complaint is no one is marshalling the speed of play .....no one calling the groups up to the first tee ?? I booked to stay at this place and as I made the booking nowhere did it say they were gonna take $250 for the deposit until AFTER BOOKING. Nice just because it is desert play. The nightmare was the rental clubs made by WARRIOR. A bad dream of shoddy equipment left over from the previous owners. I found out after the round I could have opted for other clubs, but I was not given the choice. The greens were in good shape and the pace for my round was just right. A little put off on the bar/restaurant service like they were just not ready. Even after hanging out there for an hour it still seemed that way. Good place for a less $$ round, but bring your own clubs. read more

Have been in the desert for the holiday and the pleasure of playing the Pebble course today. I found everything about Cimarron to be quite lovely, from the check in process to the course itself in was a great experience. As a reasonably new golfer I found the course to be manageable. We were paired with a great couple, who were very friendly and of similar experience. We found the greens to be very well maintained and the course in very good shape. Outside of the strolling coyote, and random feathers and rabbit fur, it was a great day...... Look forward to playing here again. A special shout-out to Ryan. Great guy!
