This is a very fun place to play golf. It's a very forgiving course with generally wide fairways, and not too much trouble. Greens are in excellent condition. Even the bunkers are uniform throughout. All the carts have GPS and they are electric. Staff here is terrific! read more

Played the north course, and I'll be returning to play the south. Country club vibes from the north. Quick prompt service with the carts. Quick rate of play, 3.5 hrs held up by the group in front that started out 5 holes ahead. Fair prices, it's about what I pay to play strawberry farms in Orange County. The club restaurant across the street had a good omelette. They could ease off the grease with the cheese, otherwise delicious and good presentation. I wanted to take a moment to extol my heartfelt appreciation of Indian Canyons Golf Resort. My wife and I became full time associates (members) this season after playing three rounds last year because * first, both tracks were in impeccable shape although the greens on the North course had many divots which is actually the fault of players not knowing a divot tool works best when used * secondly, the people working both South AND North sides could not be more gracious. Always generous with their smiles and courtesy; always using our first names which in any business breeds kindness. This year we have gotten to know both Greg Griffin and Gene Mollenkamp and it is more than apparent why the course is run so efficiently, professionally and above all with respect to its members. We play many courses back east that are private and well maintained. We love our membership on Cape Cod. I have no problem comparing the courteous nature and outstanding way Indian Canyons Golf Resort is run. We feel so strongly about this that we purchased a home in Palm Springs because we love Indian Canyons. read more

After playing many courses in the Palm Springs area last season, my husband and i decided to join Indian Canyons as full time seasonal members. We found the courses to be excellent. Beautiful and well maintained. They are two very different types of courses so there is always some variety. What we did not realize before joining was how absolutely wonderful the entire staff was. From the guys who set up the carts and clubs to the starters to the folks who man the Pro shops. Everyone has been so nice and helpful and friendly. I attest this to someone at the top setting an atmosphere of service and friendliness. I have seen some negative comments and they are not our experience at all. The upper management even assisted my husband is pulling off an amazing birthday surprise. We are absolutely looking forward to renewing our membership again next year. Everyone at Indian Canyons has made us feel so welcome and valued, even more than at our home club back east that we pay twice as much for. read more

Yes, we had a terrific round of golf on August 17 and the course was in beautiful condition. But $100 for an off-season round? Perhaps that's why the course was deserted. I'd play here more if they'd bring the fees in line with other clubs in the area. read more

Nice little breakfast and lunch place on A now overlooking a nice golf course. There's only one waiter for breakfast at least and he's very good. You can also go with a lot of different friends and you can all have your own Bill if you'd like so no confusion. read more

Was in town for our annual golf trip. We usually play three rounds, and this year Indian Canyon South Course was our first stop. Wanted to play the North course, however it was closed for maintenance. As it turns out. We had an amazing day playing the south course. It was in great shape, with some great views. Greens were soft, and rolled with decent speed. Customer service was on, and it made a day they we will remember. I did not expect the magnificent views throughout the course. The layout was very entertaining, and challenging at times but still fun. With all of the courses through out the valley. There are diffidently a lot of competition, however this is a gem. read more

To be short ... this course (South) is a dog track! Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in bad shape. Service cart came around only once! One of the water stations not working. Best thing was the service in the restaurant! Not worth even half the price I paid! read more

The four of us played here today. Tee time 8am. We redeemed an Underpar voucher 2 players with golf cart $99.00. We last played the North Course in 2017. So our memories were very fuzzy. Bag drop was very convenient. We checked in and provided hard copies of our underpar vouchers. We were able to tee off 20 minutes earlier. We were instructed to finish under 4 hours. We finished in 3 hours 38 minutes. Plenty of nice restrooms on the course. We enjoyed wrapping up our 7 day golf getaway by playing at Indian Palms. The North Course restaurant was closed due to COVID so after we finished we returned to our resort for the 19th hole. read more

Great course and club. Great customer service and service in general. The staff was awesome to us and we met a handful of nice people as well. One negative was we encountered several groups with music blaring from their carts. That is so incredibly rude and frustrating to deal with. It would be great if that was more heartily discouraged if not outright banned, as they should be. The course is challenging, but fun. It's also a little more expensive than others, but it was nice. Wow! Unbelievable V.I.P treatment from the moment we arrived , our clubs got picked up from our car and taken to the clubhouse. When we pulled up to the first hole Dick gave us a full rundown of the course etc, the ambassador Greg was amazing and kept the game going at a great pace, the fairways are absolutely AMAZING, the greens are impeccable, and the views are insane, it beats some of the country clubs I've played in LA! The employees (Dan as well as the other guys at the pro shop who deserve to be mentioned but forget their names and the lovely lady at the starter box (along with the other attendants at the starter box)) are as professional as as you can get. The south course is on my list of regular stops. I have a second home here in the desert and love the setting and the views. Course is generally in pretty good shape and I like the course architecture. The reason for the low mark from me is that someone at some time decided to play the course backward. The south course has one of the best finishing holes in the desert, but no, it is now the 9th hole. Also if you have an early tee time in January thru March you will play the first 5 holes in the chilly shade, but not so if the course was played as originally designed, as the true front nine is further from the mountains that block the sunshine. Change things back to the way they should be and I'll play much more often at Indian Canyons South. read more

Restaurant Review Only Been here a number of times. Food consistently good. Views are spectacular. Dined here on a recent Sunday and the server's attitude and behavior absolutely threw us for a loop. We arrived at 11:30 am and the restaurant was not busy. We put our names in for an outside table and were told that there was only one party ahead of us. We asked if we could wait in the bar which we were told was okay. 45 minutes later, the same person, and person would be our server, came over and asked if we were waiting for a table outside. We said we were. She said that there was only one table outside open and it was not covered (the umbrella had apparently blow away the day before). We said that was fine and would like to change to a table with shade when one becomes available. While seated outside, the sun is reflecting off of the glass of this table and roasting us in the glare and resulting heat from it. While waiting for the server to return and take our drink orders, we saw two outside tables with shade empty and new diners seated. When the server finally came and took our drink order, we politely asked if we could be moved to the shade. She suddenly became indignant and stated that we didn't ask for a table in the shade before. I politely informed her that I had. She became argumentative and said that I hadn't. My friend then politely advised her that we had. All of the sudden she says "do you want to speak to my manager?" and takes off. We were still baffed when suddenly her manager appeared. He moved us inside to one of the worst table locations in the restaurant but our service was very nicer and attentive. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and this altercation with the server completely put a damper on it. I had this same server the day before with another friend. Although she was not warm, friendly, or attentive, we were very polite with her and gave her a generous tip. I do not want to return to the restaurant because I'm afraid of her being our server again. Restaurant management seriously needs to pay attention to how their staff is treating customers. read more

The course is beautiful. We were lucky to use the South Course before it was closed for seeding. North Course is still open and I'm sure it's just as gorgeous. We visited Palm Springs and looked for a nearby course where we could get an hour lesson. We were BEYOND lucky to find an open spot with Kevin Ritter, who's recently joined the Indian Canyon Golf Resort. He was SO patient, friendly, and very professional. Affordable and in great shape. We went in late September and the course was perfect. The greens were fast and the pace of play was also great. Good open course. Good for golfers who are just going out to have a good time. It was also only $35 and coming from San Diego it was way better than any $35 course we would play. I came here over the thanksgiving weekend and played a round at the North Course for my birthday. I've played both the South and North course before, and I actually like the North Course better. The price is more fair, and the layout, while not as creative as the South Course, is a lot of fun. My wife came with me as a rider, and had a great time watching me hack at it next to a pro we were paired with :) The course was in great shape and the pace of play was on par. The views of the mountain were worth the cost of admission, especially after the snowfall days before. The course has fairways lined with million dollar homes, so make sure to keep that ball away from the windows! read more

3 1/2 stars. We arrived on a Saturday morning for a 9:00 am tee time. Once a private club named Canyon Country Club, this 36-hole facility (North & South) was a favorite haunt of Hollywood celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, and Jackie Gleason. Former U.S. Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson and Ronald Reagan also walked these fairways. The course is tucked away in a canyon and has some decent views of the San Jacinto mountains. The restaurant is like stepping into the past and is so Sinatra style. The north course which we played is older but was in decent shape although it's pretty flat and straight for the majority of the holes. The late Walt Disney formerly owned the spouting water feature fountain and comes into play on two holes. Traps, greens and fairways were decently maintained and is owned by the Agua Caliente tribe. Only con - that Saturday I played the course seemed overbooked and pace of play was slow. They tried to divert me on the 12th hole which didn't help at all and I ended up skipping a couple of holes out of frustration. The staff was cordial and professional which was a positive. read more

I had an incredible experience as always, incept for the part that tainted everything, Andy the Marshall rolled up to us at the 16th hole while I was attempting my approach shot on to the 16th green and informed us that we had to leave the corse at 7pm. Ok, I told him that it was t a problem yet he kept insisting that we picked up and left, I asked him if they would give me a discount since we paid for 18 holes, he told me they wouldn't, I asked him to shhh so I could hit, he told me "you shhh" we finished up and he apprenticed playing partner and cursed him out, another cart attended held him back and told him to shhh, as I returned to the car my friend told me about being cursed out and I immediately searched for Andy, apparently he cursed my friend out and ran. Went here again with my uncle today, as well usually hit it up for lunch when we visit. He likes it but man this place was DEAD on a Monday at prime lunch time. It is very dated and out of the "main scene" in PS! I don't think it would hurt to have a facelift and try to bring a younger crowd, or really any crowd at all back to it. The menu is basic but the food is pretty good. They definitely need to change something if they wanna be around next year. The only thing worse than some of the the drunk, out-of-control, terrible golfers on this course is the course management. Talk about bad neighbors. They are the worst. Unresponsive, uncaring, unhelpful. If they would inform the golfers of the course rules BEFORE they serve them alcohol, things might be a lot more pleasant for everyone. Their excuse usually is that ONLY bad golfers looking for a party come to this course and they can't do anything about the bad behavior as it would be bad for business. Very helpful! read more

Our friend searching for good bargains found this course with super reasonable rate online. It's located deep in a residential area. After a 100-mile drive from Orange County we made our 1 pm tee time. By then the temperature was already hovering over 115 degrees. The well-maintained South course with the mountain backdrop was serenely quiet, with just a few diehard golf fanatics. Check-in was a cinch. The staff was respectful and masked. We practically had the course to ourselves. Signage was clear. No GPS on cart. Hole 6 is post-card beautiful. The kind marshal brought us iced bottled water, twice. We finally gave up after 14 holes because of the intense heat (and insufficient face suntan protection). Overall, we had fun playing at this a very nice course. read more

Played the North course today, May 19th. I teed off at 7:45. Staff and Cart girl were fantastic. Carts are sanitized before each use, and have USB inputs for your phone/speaker. They don't have GPS but fairways are marked pretty well. There was literally no one golfing when I teed off. Didn't run in to anyone until the 10th, and the nice group of gents let me play through. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens are all in great shape. Finished in 3.5 hours or so. Love the history of this course! Always fun playing where Frank, Dean, Sammy played. Can't wait to go back when the Pro Shop opens and I can take a tour of the place! read more
