The line staff at the building is wonderful -- from the attentive and caring concierges (Jennifer, Stephen...), to the helpful shuttle driver, Aaron, to the rental agents, Jackie, Crystal and Eysha. The building is lovely and the location is wonderful.
But when there was a roof leak that flooded several apartments, after several days of equivocation, it was determined that I needed to move to another unit. I, and all my possessions, were transported to a unit which had never been cleaned of construction dust, and never been made fully ready for occupancy. But rather than try to make things right as soon as possible, the manager, Carrie, deflected responsibility, dragged her feet and made the whole experience pretty miserable. When I left several weeks later, the washing machine had finally been hooked up to water, the dishwasher had also been connected to water supply, the dead circuits in the master bedroom had been activated, and after about a week's delay, the apartment had been cleaned of sheet-rock dust. But the ice-maker was never made functional, Carrie never apologized for any inconvenience, and she remained as supercilious and rude to me as I observed her being to her staff. She spoiled what would otherwise have been a singularly positive experience in Houston.
