My doctor had an arrangement with Tepper to supply a medication where I was only required to pay $5 copay. Then eventually the amount went up to @ $90 but I could fill out a form to get reimbursed all but $5. At that point I got my medication somewhere else. About 2 years later I get an invoice from Tepper with absolutely no details except for a balance due of @ $100. I called and was told they have no idea why I received the invoice and they would cancel it. A couple months later I received another 'blank' invoice showing a balance of $0.00... then a few months later it was back to @ $100. Every time I call I'm told the same thing and that there is a billing mix-up and to ignore it. The last time I called I asked how many others were getting these invoices and paying them not knowing its a 'mixup' and I was assured this wasn't happening. Doubtful considering I've been getting invoiced off and on without an explanation. I warned them that if I continued to receive random invoices I would take to social media and I was once again assured it wouldn't happen again. I'm all for small business, family business, etc, but usually its because of the extra level of service. In this case it seems they're behind the times with managing their billing. Who knows what else is getting mismanaged. read more

My Dr suggested my wife get a cane and suggested Tepper., because they could help instruct her on how to use it. We purchased cane on Friday about 5:30 pm and was told the lady who would give us instruction has gone home and that we should call for appointment. I called today and I was told very curtly that my physical therapist should help me and Why don't you call them!!!! I am r we turning the cane and telling my Dr about what happened and suggest he never recommend Tepper again!! I certainly won't!!!! read more

Tepper is a great locally-owned pharmacy. they have been our go-to for 25 years. The big pharmacies are slow, with long waits, and impersonal service. The only bad reviews I see on here are from first-time customers who have unrealistic standards for a new account. People around the Main Line need to grow up and take responsibility for their own issues, like insurance companies. This is not Tepper's problem, although they have always worked with us and our providers to work things out. We save hundreds, and get top-level service. They know us by name, and will call if something is out of stock, is not coverd by our insurance, or needs to be ordered. Only once in 25 years have I gone to pick something up and it wasn't there, which was my fault, because I left it there so long they sent it back. We never go anywhere else, and don't plan to switch, even though CVS moved a store right into their shopping center, trying to steal their business. it didn't work, and Tepper is still going strong. Plus, they have great Greeting Cards too. You can trust them, and make them your regular stop. read more

As the saying goes you get what you pay for. I was turned onto Tepper by my doctor who was helping me find a low cost alternative to CVS who wanted to charge me a ton for my Rx. Tepper filled it for a fraction of the price. Great! Not so much. In 3 months of refills they mess it up 3 times. twice I went without my meds. This time I called a week ahead of time. "Oh yes, it went out last week." It never came. Called today and was told, "oh it went out today". Not only is there ineptness but each time I had the feeling I was being fed b/s, lies. I really do think that's it. Really a shame. As such I will opt to pay much more just to get my meds in time. read more

Very nice pharmacy the workers are kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. Whenever there is a question about medication the pharmacist is willing to patiently explain. I like this pharmacy because you get personalized care. read more

They have a reputation as medical supply pharmacy and do have some hard to find products in stock. Unfortunately, their staff, Dianne in particular, are rude as anything, and very difficult to work with, which is especially onerous, given that the clients coming in are already stressed and exhausted form taking care of sick family members. I suggest that they all, Dianne in particular, go for a dog obedience and politeness class. read more

I was looking for a hard to find prescription right as Tepper was closing. I reached an answering service but got a call back within twenty minutes. The pharmacist had left for the day, but she went back in to fill the prescription for me. I wasn't even a customer previously. Will be switching back all of my prescriptions here. read more

This is one of my least favorite pharmacies. For one, some of the pill bottles they give you don't even twist on and my pills used to fall out of the container. They ended up all over the place when in my book bag because the lids took no energy or effort to remove, popping off by accident. This place also is not fast and I always felt like I was waiting awhile. This would have been easier to handle if they would give you a phone call so you could come back. read more

Had to switch to this pharmacy due to ours closing. They have more issues. They are looking for a new formulary company. So you can not get any controlled substances. They have no idea when they will have a new one in place. Had to request certain scripts be sent to CVS since they cannot handle them. You request certain brand meds and they forget and don't give them to you. They tell you your script will be in after 2:00 when they get the order. Then when you call to check the same woman says it won't be in till tomorrow after two. There is one woman who has made mistakes with me every time I have called. Have had to make many trips because they say someone picked up the script already and husband comes home only to go back because- they have it. Or they don't give you all the scripts and you have to go back for what was forgotten. Very frustrating. My husband has asked me like three times to switch to CVS. We might be doing that very soon. I am very surprised with this very unorganized pharmacy especially when they work along the Main Line. Miss our old pharmacy. read more

This is a true FAMILY pharmacy. Years of patronage includes you in the family. You are not only given service, but you are cared for here. Wouldn't let anyone else fill my prescriptions. In the same breath, not my go to for Tylenol either. But with delivery and personal care, no place tops Teppers. read more

We have found Tepper to be very prompt and helpful. They have free same-day delivery, which is great for us because sometimes we don't get home from work until late. After spending time on super long lines at CVS and Rite Aid, we are really glad to have switched to Tepper. Also, they are locally owned. And they have a great greeting card selection. read more

My first review in Yelp and its an important one. Last week I was diagnosed with Chronic Vein Insufficiency. In brief, that means the blood in my legs is not getting out of my legs and back to my heart, Its scary. Worse case. Not treated properly you can lose your legs or your life. My heart Docs told to me to go Tepper Pharmacy. I made an appointment to see Diann Matteo, one of a few people in the country certified Compression Support Therapy. The first thing Diann did was take my fear away. With her knowledge and expertise she taught me how compression therapy works and how it could resolve my condition or go a long way to help other therapies my doctors my use. Medicare mandates that before using any other medical or surgical treatment therapy compression stocking must be worn for 6 weeks to 3 months. I am very grateful to Diann Matter for the time, energy and effort she put into teaching me about the benefits of compression therapy, but more, important, for kindness and compassion she provided during my visit. I'm also very grateful to Craig Llehrman, Owner, Tepper Pharmacy for providing such a vital service. As I learn more and more about compression therapy and its multitude of applications across all body parts I think it may be time for all of us to put it good use. Thank you. read more

Not sure how many stars to give as today was my only experience there. I needed a script compounded and went for a quote. I was told it would be $95. I asked a pharmacist at GIANT to tell me cost of ingredients and he said less than $30, but could not fill it. The prescribing doctor was outraged at the price and recommended I go Rosemont Pharmacy. For $25 I got the same thing. read more

I was a big fan of Tepper and wanted to support independent pharmacies. However, I went to get a prescription refilled. I was stunned when the co-pay of the prescription had increased by six times - from $26 to $144. Obviously Tepper isn't at fault for our nation's problems with pharmaceutical pricing and insurance company policies on what is covered, but the woman behind the counter was so incredibly rude about it that my intital shock increased ten times, turning to anger by the time I got home. I only deal with them for prescriptions, but they're great for that. Renewals are simple, they treat you like friends, and orders are filled in an hour. Great service, and far better than the big stores. read more
