For a low price it includes food and amenities to this beach club. I came here with nine other people while visiting Cozumel. Checking in was easy. You pay first and the money can be used towards credit towards food. Everything else extra you have to pay for, such as snorkeling, jet skis, and renting towels. My first thing at this beautiful place was my $100 of deep tissue 60 minutes massage on the beach. No regrets. It was the best thing ever. Total serenity. Then after I went into their private crystal clear beach water with lots of fishes. It was amazing. We also had lounge chairs with umbrellas. And did I mention the food was actually really good. Oh and they had a pool as well. There is a full restaurant too if you prefer that but we liked ordering and having the food come to us. We had an amazing time here and it was the highlight of everyone's trip. I definitely would come back.

The steak fries were good with a hint of buffalo and plenty of steak and toppings. The two drinks were strong enough and refreshing. They have a lot of loungers by the beach area, a pool next to it, and a restaurant with plenty of seating. Also, plenty of clean restrooms. Towels can be rented from the gift shop and as long as they are returned, they are $1. We had a server stationed by our beach loungers who took good care of us. We would definitely recommend this beach club for a relaxing, chill vibe! It was also family friendly.

So peaceful, not crowded, and most days we were swimming in the ocean alone surrounded by crystal clear blue water and sunshine. Food and drinks on site were good, many restaurants nearby too. They do room service as well which was convenient. The pool was right outside our door and was rarely crowded. Beach area has plenty of shaded chairs. Lots of wildlife around too, we saw a pelican, iguanas, lizards, crabs, and colored fish. Very peaceful place to stay that was not crowded at all during this time of year. Most guests were older, very few kids. Wonderful healing ambience surrounding you here it's hard to find anything to complain about.

TRAVEL MEMORIES…read more Since I first began traveling, I have always preferred the off beaten paths. The blood of an explorer must run through my veins, which makes me sort of an anomaly in my family. NO ONE in my immediate bloodline of cousins, aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents or siblings does any real traveling outside of a hundred miles or so from their homes. While I have yet to visit Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the great canyons of the West or Alaska; I have ventured from Niagara Falls to the Panama Canal and Hawaii to St. Thomas. Cozumel, Mexico has been one of our most visited destinations. Since my very first visit, my absolute favorite thing to do is rent a jeep and just drive, stopping wherever the wind blows me. When we first arrived on the island back in 2003, it was our honeymoon, albeit 5 years after we'd gotten married. Everything south of the cruise ship ports back then was pretty undeveloped. The current cruise ship terminals did not exist and all you could see for several miles was thick brush! But drive long enough and suddenly it would give way to cozy pocket beaches and quiet ocean views along the narrow and poorly maintained 2 lane highways. Ahhh, it felt so free to break away from the touristy shops and just roll out like it was my own personal island. Our now 14-year-old was only 2 back then and I'm pretty certain we came home with his brother as a souvenir starting to bake in the oven after that trip. Fast forward to 2008 when we returned to the island with the kids and rented a 4 door soft top Jeep. So many memories from that visit, but one of our favorites was Playa de San Martin. Not so much for the beach as for the cozy little food stand across from it where a guy had a Mexican raccoon known as a coati for a pet. He was so friendly, and even climbed a nearby coconut tree and sliced two open for us to drink. One for the kids and one for us adults with a little rum added for flavor... LOL! It was the first time we ever had fresh coconut milk and to this day my youngest still loves it, although he doesn't quite remember why. On our most recent visit, the highway had become more developed and the touristy crowds had begun to follow our lead and find their way down this awesome Mexican highway, but it is still an enjoyable ride and far less crowded than the areas near the cruise port. The stand where the guy cut open the coconut had been paved over to make this once sleepy 2-lane road into a 4-lane highway. Replacing it is a restaurant by the name of Andale Bar & Grill. The entire restaurant, including the bar, is literally set in the sand, with tables right on the water just a few feet from the ocean. It's barefoot, toes in the sand dining done right, and the atmosphere alone makes it worth the visit. We did have one hiccup in the evening due to a rowdy group from a drone company that was extremely intoxicated and invasive of our space. Their belongings kept ending up on our table, and there were drunk men taking their shirts off and doing shots just a few feet away. Not sure if they didn't have enough tables or what, but we had made a reservation to celebrate a special event months in advanced, so it was a bit irritating. The servers eventually handled it and intervened multiple times, but at no point were they asked to move or relocate. Once that group settled down, the night became a much more enjoyable experience. We were a party of 12, and every single person raved about both their food and drinks. For drinks we had: Prickly Pear: Made with Orange Blossom Condesa Gin, St Germain, fresh lemon juice, rosemary syrup, mint, and strawberry. Bright and refreshing, though it came with more foam on top than expected. Coco Loco: A fresh whole coconut with Patrón Silver tequila, vodka, rum, gin, pineapple juice, and coconut cream. A true showstopper. Don't be intimidated by the mix of liquor, it is smooth, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. No hangovers were had. Espresso Martini: Simple and clean with a light foam. Well executed, but not a signature cocktail compared to the others. For food we had: We were surprised with an amuse bouche of huitlacoche, often called Mexican truffle. It's a corn fungus with a rich, earthy flavor and this small bite was outstanding and set the tone for the meal. Queso Fundido: Oaxaca cheese with chorizo and flour tortillas. Great flavor, but very thick, making it a bit messy and difficult to serve. Guacamole: Prepared with tomato, onion, cilantro, and cotija cheese. Perfectly seasoned, fresh, and especially enjoyable paired with the queso fundido. Brisket: Served in chileatole sauce with huitlacoche truffle, carrots, and cotija cheese. Comforting, rich, and deeply flavorful. Robalo Guayaba: Guava sea bass served in guava sauce with chiltepín chili. Beautifully cooked with just a little too much sweetness and citrus. It would have benefited from a little bit of heat, or a vegetable or side to pair it with, as it is not served with anything other than a cooked slices of lemon. Creme Brulee Mexicano: A rice pudding infused crème brûlée with caramel and vanilla ice cream. A thoughtful twist on the classic, with the rice pudding adding depth and warmth to the dessert. Knocked down to 4 stars due to the rowdiness of some surrounding guests. We were seated on the sand and needed to walk through the entirety of the restaurant, but people without tables or reservations were standing in the middle of walkways and sitting on the steps down to the beach, many too intoxicated to stand up. I'm hopeful this is not the usual clientele, and I would return for the quality of the food, drinks, and the gorgeous setting.

I highly recommend paying extra to be able to use their pool if you want to party. It's super fun in the pool area! Lots of dancing after the alcohol starts flowing!!! A portion of what you pay will go towards the food and drinks you order. I usually relax the first few hours I am at Martina then make my way to the pool area to dance!!! Come here to enjoy the wonderful Playa sun and do a little dancing if you want to. If you just want to lounge around and get a tan this is an awesome place to do that too!!!
