Tacos are very dry or lack flavor. Tried the quest birria and they were too cheesy with not a lot of meat and the consume lacked flavor. The Al Pastor and Chorizo were both very dry with little flavor. Carne asada had a little more flavor but also on the drier side. Will not be returning. read more

Everything was FABULOUS! We went for Cinco de Mayo and boy they were doing it up right! Out door tent seating, DJ, bull riding etc etc. We got there early and we were met by lots of smiling friendly people! I chose the quesidilla birria and oh my goodness it was spectacular! My friend chose the taco birrias and felt the same about his lol! We also shared a cheese dip which was very tasty just wished we could've added chopped up jalapeños but a nice young man brought us some pickled ones to go into it. I really enjoy the food at Beto's. Been there twice now for lunch. Their prices are comparable to other similar restaurants except for the fountain drinks. $3.95 for a fountain drink at a fast casual restaurant is ridiculous in my opinion. I am reviewing this as a second chance because I really liked it . Unfortunately my new review is no improvement over the last. The service and food actually got worse. First the salsa bar was low on quantity. The bins were down to bare minimum. Also the salsa has been watered down to just a mere hint of the flavor the selections had before. I understand in challenging economic times stretching and not wasting but not at the expense of ruining the quality and dining experience. I dined in a taco Tuesday and the meet was no crowd . Lowest number of customers I've seen in a while at 1230 noon. The word may be out. On top of the cut backs in quality, they have raised the prices. Taquitos for instance, which is my go to meal went from 9.95 to 11.75. Again, I understand the upward trend for pricing . The problem is when the quality and service goes down as the price goes up, it leaves one feeling jilted. The server picked up my number before bringing my food then I watched as he had to ask the cashier where the order went. He also failed to bring chips to the table until after my meal was delivered. He didn't remember the chips , I had to prompt him. Time for some Mexican food!!!! I actually just got home from Akumal Mexico yesterday but was still craving Mexican food. And I can confirm, this spot is super authentic. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall. Upon entering, the inside is super clean and modern looking. Lots of seating and all employees were a bit quiet but very nice. I got the esqiutes and taquitos. My daughter got the carne asada street tacos. I actually went for the esquites, and they did not disappoint!! Taquitos were crunchy with fresh sauces. Tacos were pretty amazing also. I love that you get tortillas and the bar of different salsas is super neat to be able to choose from. This could easily become one of my regular Mexican spots. My go-to order is 3 carne asada tacos, however I also highly recommend the tortas, quesadillas, and Beto's Potatoes. I actually think the potatoes are a hidden gem on the menu and don't get the recognition they deserve!! They are loaded fries topped with meat, cheese, and pico de gallo. Soooo tasty. Every single meal is consistently delicious and never misses! If I'm being totally honest these are my favorite tacos and I actually don't even bother ordering tacos at other restaurants because they are never as good as they are here. Was in the area and decided to grab something I hadn't tried before. Saw the sign and did a u-turn because tacos are always in order. So glad I did because it was so good! I ordered two tacos and a mexican coke and found a seat. Someone brought me a basket of chips and I got some salsa from the salsa bar. I love a thin, salty chip and these hit the spot. Ambience: the decor is consistent with what you would imagine a taqueria would look like. It is clean as I saw the employees wipe down tables after every patron. The salsa bar is self service, so you might get nervous with Delta running around. There is no social distancing observed here. Service: you go to the counter, order and pay for your food. After having a great first impression at their location on L'ville-Suwanee Rd we decided to bring some friends to try Beto's Tacos and this location was closer. I gave this one 4 stars because the carne assada was dry unfortunately, different than the juice and tender one we had at their other location. The food was good overall and so was the chips and the salsas. The pineapple juice was amazing! Had to tell my friends to try their other location and explain that we had a better experience there. This was definitely not a hole in the wall, I loved it except it felt like the A/C was not working when I went. The interior design felt very hip. They offer a wide variety of tacos, appetizers, burritos, beer, etc. There's also a self serve salsa bar with a range of mild to spicy salsas, limes, and extra little toppings you can add onto your tacos. You order at the register and they bring the food to you. I really liked their carne asada tacos and esquites. The queso dip was mediocre, not much flavor, and I've had better queso dips. I was working on location in Lawrenceville for a couple of weeks and was looking for lunch that would be quick but not fast food. I found Beto's just by panning around on my maps app. The biggest draws are that the staff moves orders quickly, there are self-checkout stations, and everything is customizable so you can truly construct your own meal. As a first-timer, I was a little disoriented walking in and not knowing the flow of the place. The line at the counter was long and I didn't want to get in it with no knowledge of the menu or what i wanted. After looking around I realized I could use the computer stations near the front door to place and pay for my own order. I customized about 4 different types of tacos and, because I typically love chicken soup from Mexican restaurants, I ordered that to try. The soup portion was big enough to be a full meal on its own but it wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting. The tacos are street taco size and we're just okay. Agua Fresca of mango, horchata and pina was REFILLABLE!I yes that's right refillable! That thought alone made it get a 10. You know how their is taco place that is good but Their salsa bar taste like deer park water, lol well this place is getting 10 points left and right cause their salsa bar was made with so much love, my god that was just heaven. Randomly ran across one of these locations running an errand in lawrenceville and i'm so glad I found it. Their tacos are amazing! We got a variety of a couple different ones and all of them had amazing flavors and double-tortilla. We also got some of their nachos which we enjoyed but were kind of heavy. All the orders come with chips as well so we had too many, but they were really good. We also thought it was cool they have a salsa bar and we tried all the different salsas. I took these tacos to go, but I definitely want to come back one day to one of the locations and sit in and enjoy the festive atmosphere. read more
