Very good ~ Service was terrific ... even when I arrived 7 minutes before closing. Food (grilled flank steak) was great with great portions. Marg was also great, thanks to the guidance from another dining customer. A nice, welcome, experience after a long motorcycle ride.

Excellent take-away. We are two, so chicken fajitas with refried beans. And the chicken taquito appetizer. Plenty-Plenty. Yum Both came with sour cream and guacamole. The only minus was only 3 tortillas for the fajitas. Should have been six. If I order this again I ll ask for double corn tortillas. I would def go back for a second night. Maybe dine in. Very cute decor and lots of service staff.. .

The fajitas were best seasoning we have tried we took all the food was great. . The service was a hard working group eager to make sure we had everything it seemed like a family run place, such a kind group we hope they make it many years. The ambiance family style, I was comfortable when the big table next to us had clasped hands praying before they ate. Sopapillas to go to have with our hot tea. It was a peaceful pleasant evening

This place was really good! Don't let the outside fool you. I had the Tequila's Seafood special and it was really delicious!

Let's start with the chips and salsa, chips were hot, golden, crispy, not oily and seasoned perfectly combined with very tasty salsa with just the right amount of heat. Ordered the ground beef chimichanga lunch special. It was a good sized portion for me but I don't eat a lot so might not be enough food for some. My only complaint is that they put lettuce, sauce and cheese on top of the crispy chimichanga so it actually makes it somewhat soggy. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Great service and good food. It's attached to your Region Inn.

Rant time... Language barrier....is....an....issue....here. We just experienced it, and when I attempted to engage the staff with my limited hispanic language skills (conversational), I got nothing but doe-eyed stares, and docile head-shaking. I don't know about you, but when I engage with someone who isn't totally familiar with my (English) language, I try to accommodate as much as I can to help when they are in need. Spanish speaking folks do not follow that level of graciousness/decorum. If you don't congegate all the verbs, utilize and stress the correct masculine or feminine articles of definition, and speak the EXACT way they do, you are completely dismissed--yet they damn well know what you are trying to ask. I've had/have several Mex friends over the decades who have heard my lamentations; and they've smiled, and said, 'Yup...' This has happened to me all over the continent. And when I tried to explain to the hostess (who must have known the most English), I got an earful of nothing but fast-talking Mex out of her--I'm supposing--because I was trying to attempt their 'perfect' language. All the while giving me a smarmy face when I could not keep up with her. Having enough, we got up to leave. She stopped us before we could get out the door, asking in completely broken English what was wrong? As you read my comments, are you following me on this? I am expected to understand her horribly broken English, yet she will not reciprocate with my broken Spanish? Ridiculous... But my son was 'starving,' and convinced me to laugh it off because of his traveler's hunger. Not that this matters much anymore with this review, but the food was pretty disappointing for New Mexico. I expected grandma gringo, with it attached to our hotel, but had hopes for something that would represent the Southwest a little better. It was similar to Mex I've had in Western Canada. Being tired after a 400-mile+ drive, I wasn't about to argue any further. You can imagine the level of disappointment I had with this entire experience... Word to the folks who may come here: just point to the menu item you want when you order. Or better yet, visit a different Mex joint in town. I wish we did...

    Fish Tacos. Absolutely delicious.

I got to the hamburger joint only to find out it is drive through/takeout only. So I returned here and managed to snag a parking spot that had just opened up.. It looked promising from the big smiles on people leaving. I went in and the large party just in front of me was just getting seated. But it took me a while to get seated because I wasn't noticed. Once seated, it took another long while for a server to appear with chips and a very tasty salsa which proved the best part of the meal. Looking over the menu and the "tourist"Mexico decor and colors, I could tell it was distributor-driven. The beers and the desserts had obviously been distributor "suggestions". My experience over the last 35 years eating out on the road several hundred times a year made it obvious. I decided on a burrito plate and asked the server which chile was spiciest. He said the red was very spicy so I went with the burrito chile colorado. C'mon dude, this is New Mexico! That chile wasn't spicy at all! Utterly bland is the word! So dinner was a big disappointment.. When I was done, I was asked if I wanted dessert. I asked if anything was homemade. Nothing. It all came industrially produced by a food service company. This place is not my style. I won't be back.

Doña María has earned a permanent spot on our list of must-visit restaurants every time we're back in town. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Karen took incredible care of us and our family. Even though we were a fairly needy group, she was consistently professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Her positive attitude made an already great dining experience even more memorable. I can't say enough how amazing she was! From the breakfast burritos to dinner, everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The homemade tortillas were absolutely outstanding and complemented every meal perfectly. The portions were generous, and every dish reminded us why we love coming back home. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and feel right at home. Overall, between the incredible food, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere, Doña María has become one of our go-to spots whenever we're in Farmington. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic New Mexican food and genuine hospitality. We can't wait to come back on our next visit!
