From California and always on the search for a solid Caliburrito! This one is as solid as it gets! I added guac and sour cream of course cause that's a must have when you've eaten as many Cali-B's as I have but it was delicious! The tortilla was just right! Everything was proportioned good! I came here around 2 o'clock on a Tuesday, starving! They have their taco Tuesday special, three tacos for $6.99. I got three crunchy tacos with shredded beef and a large soda. The young man who helped me was so friendly. The food came out within seven minutes and was fresh. I scarfed down all three tacos because I was so hungry and they were so delicious. Made a quick stop on the way to Moab through Farmington, my mom suggested we try this spot for some decent Mexican fare. I grew up in Farmington, but I don't spend much time here outside of the holidays. So coming through on a weekday in the warmer months is rare. I also rarely visit new places in Farmington outside of my favorite spots. Anyways, the menu had quite a few options. I ended up going with the Rudy special and a taco on the side. I didn't really loves the special, the roll tacos were very thin and greasy. If I came back, I would only get the pollo asado tacos or something like that. read more

The was OK. It was a Sunday and the actual store was not open so went through the drive-through took about 15 minutes. A word of caution, the person serving me. asked if I wanted a copy of my receipt originally I said no. Then it took so long for the food I asked for the before handing it to me he said did you give me a 20% tip or did I hit the wrong button? I didn't give a tip so he promptly refunded the money. I'm in Farmington for work (a consultant for the state) and read the good reviews for this place. The tacos I got were AWFUL. It was taco Tuesday and I ordered the chicken tacos. I don't know how else to describe the chicken except for being soft and bland. When I say soft, something was off about the texture. The tacos came in hard shells which I was not expecting. Cheese, and terrible lettuce also included. Anyway, they were not good. I was really expecting better after seeing so many positive reviews. I live in California so maybe my standards are too high...or it's possible I just don't like New Mexican style food/tacos. I won't be coming back to this place. read more

Love the food - hate the price. The food is the normal hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, which is to say really great food with lots of flavor and the ability to customize as it is made to order. That being said - based on the lace of decor and lack of places to sit - why is it so high priced? Food is great, its a little mom and pop taqueria, try out the Carne Asada cheese fries its really good and big enough for two. Its a small place so theres only a few booths. One of cashiers is a young lady who tends to be grouchy toward customers, she shouldn't e allowed to do any customer service in my opinion. read more

The first time I tried to eat here they were closing as I pulled up. I was a tad disappointed because I had called earlier to ask if they used lard in their beans or meat stock in their enchilada sauce. The gal on the phone indicated they don't use lard in their beans but yes, there is chicken stock in the enchilada sauce. The next time I was in Farmington, NM, I made it to Rodolfo's before closing time and for the most part it was decent. The shop is basically a SD style Berto's restaurant like so many that exist in Arizona and Southern California. Carne Asada is the specialty in the form of tacos, burritos and quesadillas. I had a bean and cheese tostada, a vegetarian burrito and a drink. The vegetarian burrito was great. The red and green salsa on the salsa bar were good. The carrots and jalapenos tasted canned. You can tell when they're made fresh because the carrots aren't cut so round and uniformly. I like pickled carrot, so I notice these things. Service was fast. Location is pretty easy to find. Everything was basically good. My tab wasn't much more than $10. For a weekday, there were customers in the place. Having tried it, I might go back but it's not my first choice. read more

I have been here a few times and their food is delicious. I recently had one of their chicken chimichangas and it did not disappoint. They smothered their chimichangas in enchilada sauce, sour cream and guacamole. I have had their bean burritos more than once and they are big and tasty with very flavorful beans. So when I ordered the carnitas fries, I was expecting for them to go plate to be filled all the way to the top, specially for how much it cost. It was only filled half way. Finally checked out this place on the 4th..I was surprised they were open! It's a small place but they have a decent selection of options. I ordered two tacos, one adobada and a shredded beef. My friend ordered a chicken and a carne asada. We decided to share each taco. The order came out right away. They had limes and two different salsas that had some flavor! Each taco had plenty of meat! We were able to make two tacos out of each single taco...they don't mess around with the meat portions. The carne asada was our favorite! Next was the adobada. The chicken was good. The shredded beef was okay, it had a strong "meaty" taste for me and I could t finish it. I liked that the carne and adobada came with pico and guac, and served street style!
