Service was fantastic and location was excellent, I have eaten at this restaurant in Page AZ and it was definitely one of my most favorite places ever, I always have the shrimp nachos, and both time I went there they had over 15 shrimp on it...so we thought we would give the location in Farmington a try!!!! Well I was very bummed it only had two whole shrimp and a couple little pieces on it,not anything like Page location, I was hoping to make it our go to place since we visit Farmington all the time. I asked our waitress if they were associated with the Page location and she said yes, so I don't know why this meal was so disappointing. I would have given them a five star....it was like they're running low on the ingredients to make my meal, even my chips seemed to be the last on the bag because they were so small. OMG SOOO GOOD! My fiancé, 10 month old, and I stopped in on a week night on our way home to Utah and left sad knowing we don't have a Fiesta Mexicana. We were greeted and instantly sat in the bar area. Table, chairs, flatware was all clean. Our waitress was amazing and attentive. Our son decided to throw his food around so we were picking it up and our waitress got down with us and helped! We ordered queso, so yummy. But our main dish was DELICIOUS!!! It's was under the dinner for 2 category and essentially was a bowl of fajita meat with a red sauce in the bowl. Overall we loved our trip here and wish to come back soon. read more

It's hard to find places to eat in Farmington, N.M., after 9 p.m. on a Tuesday night. The fast food places were still open but most of the sit-down spots were flipping their open signs closed. Lo and behold, Fiesta Mexicana's open sign was still flickering on. I pulled into the parking lot and saw that indeed there were customers inside. I put my vehicle in park and walked inside. The décor is really loud pastel, if there's such a thing. It's decorated like those gas stations that sell tons of southwestern-inspired iron lawn ornaments. The booths are painted in a style reminiscent of Diego Rivera. Both waitresses spoke with accents that weren't Navajo. I think that counts for something. I was seated with a menu and had my drink order taken. Pepsi products. Chips and salsa followed quickly, and the chips were warm. The salsa could have been hotter. The menu had vegetarian options which I was super thankful for. The waitress answered my questions with assured confidence. No meat in the red or green sauce, right? She affirmed there was no meat in either. I had the vegetarian combination: a choice of two items with rice, beans and cole slaw. I had a whole bean and cheese burrito with a cheese enchilada, all smothered green. The style of cuisine doesn't reflect the regional dialect that's spoken with a broken but refined New Mexico accent. It's steeped a little more in what lies south of the border. The food was decent, not spectacular. The service was really good. My meal ran me about $16 total. read more

Yum, yum, yum. The wait staff are wonderful and quick. The food is fantastic. We both ordered from the senior menu. I ordered chili Verde and it was fresh and delicious The rice is soft and eat able, not hard like the last place we ate at. The beans are flavorful. Hubby had the combo of two items. Upon arrival in Farmington (our first time here) the girl working the front desk at our hotel told us Fiesta Mexicana was a must-eat in town and rivaled the great New Mexican food found in Las Cruces, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, etc. We rushed there for dinner and left disappointed. The food here doesn't rival it's southern peers. In fact, it doesn't compare. This small chain is below average, unfortunately. The biggest drawback was service. It took an Act of Congress to get a refill on a drink (20 minutes, twice), even a second beer took 20 minutes, and the place was empty. Very slow, poor service. The food, wasn't much better. We both order dishes that included chicken. The chicken tasted boiled (at a Mexican place, come on!). It was bland and flavorless. The green chili sauce was average. Nothing to complain about there and I have to give them credit, we enjoyed their salsa. Meanwhile, the overall flavor on everything else was non-existent. If you're coming to drink margaritas, you'll probably love this place. If it's award winning New Mexican, use caution. This is average, at best, Mexican and while you'll leave full (they dish out large portions) I doubt you'll want to make a quick return. read more

Place is very good and the staff was friendly and we went one the weekday for dinner and sure was great we had the fiesta combo for two and extra mushrooms and came with the refried beans and Spanish rice it was good and we had the dessert the Fried cheesecake , I love the cheesecake here it's great and we had a great dinner with the family and don't mine coming back again soon to try something different. read more

We had dinner here while traveling through Farmington. Best part of meal is the smoky, medium salsa with chips and the margs. The margaritas we got (Fiesta) were strong! Ordered green chile con carne and pollo borracho and specifically asked for heat-none. Also, asked for no cheese and everything was delivered with cheese. Service was not good. Beer was warm, first we got a dirty draft glass, had chile from the Michelada before and the wrong beer. We told them to just bring us bottles they brought us the right beer but still draft and warm. The sauce for enchiladas it's green and red is not spicy more tomatoe based than chile, there is no kick to it. The beans were okay although I want to say they may have been canned. What happened???? Fiesta Mexicana used to be good. Now, I will avoid this place at all costs. I had fajitas. The beans tasted weird. The rice had no flavor with the frozen mixed vegetables tossed in (with Lima beans...yuck!). The serving portion of the steak was skimpy. The taste of the steak was very questionable as it tasted like the meat was spoiled and then covered up with as much seasoning as possible. Needless to say, I did not finish it and refused to take it with me. I was literally waiting for the onset of food poisoning to occur. It seems like Fiesta Mexicana is either struggling to get by or they practically don't care...or maybe they're just a front for a drug cartel. read more

Good value meal en route to our hotel in Farmington. Plenty of choices, even for the veggie. Chose the steak/ shrimp el diablo for him and a chile relleno for me. Accompanied mine with a house margarita - recommended! Churro's for dessert, which were a surprise as they are stuffed with the sauce, rather than for dipping on the side. Waiting to be seated took a while. The waiter service was kinda slow, our drinks came one by one like 5mins in between. Best, and best I mean strongest, margarita in Farmington. I'm no lightweight, two or three of these will loosen you up. A little on the pricey side, this place is worth the extra buck or two.
