Our group of 6 went for dinner, it's more like a bar vs pub based on the few drafts they had. The one I chose was on draft but only bottle available Affligem was yummy. We enjoyed burgers; mine had yuzu and ponzu sauce which doesn't sound great but it really was & tasty; lettuce & tomato, pickles which were diff & so good, seeded brioche bun. I'd get again. Husband got the sliders, there was 2; had Serrano ham, shredded pork; mine was our fav.. Service was not great but not terrible. Fries were crisp and hot and had a green type sauce, a bit herbal went well with the fries. All enjoyed! Any Water must be bought.

I rule from Southern California - the Capitol of Burgerland. So maybe the level of the bar in my burger reviews is inflated. I believe the level burgerdom at Ter Marsch is good quality - yet mediocre in taste. The bun is stale. At least mine was. I'm not sure if it was intended to be in that condition. The burger is thick and juicy, but lacking in the fresh beefiness that I wanted. What sets it apart is the aioli sauce - really top notch. The lettuce fell out. Shredded lettuce would have been better. The problem was the hockey puck burger sat high in the middle of the bun. When you bite into it, you get a mouthful of bun, and the hockey puck gushes out the side. If you bite into the hockey puck the rest of the ingredients gush out the side and down your hand, and you're left with disintegrated stale bun pieces. Sweet potato fries were ok, and the truffle sauce sent it over the top. But honestly, it's middle of the road in Southern California Burger Land.

Ter Marsch and Co was such a fun stop while exploring Amsterdam. I ordered the croquettes and the loaded fries and they did not hold back. The croquettes were perfectly crispy with a creamy filling and the dipping sauce was addictive. The loaded fries were a full-on masterpiece piled high with cheese, bacon, herbs, and all the good stuff. Every bite was rich, messy, and exactly what you want when you are in full vacation mode. The vibe inside was lively and casual and everything just hit the spot. Definitely a must-try if you are looking for something indulgent and delicious.

Service was lovely but the food was not so great. The restaurant looks trendy and updated but is definitely geared toward tourists and hotel guests. If you want a burger it'll do.

Ter Marsch & Co is a hamburger restaurant located about 1.5 km away from Central Station. It is an extremely popular location so is normally really busy so would recommend getting their early to secure a seat and be served on time. The sweet potato fries were great and hamburgers were pretty good. Service took awhile with how busy it was and interior felt very cramped. Still a great hamburger option while in Amsterdam and would recommend giving it a shot if you're craving fries and a burger.

The food was ok. The fries weren't super crispy and the cheese is only concentrated on top with little underneath. The inside of the restaurant is also quite dirty and not a cozy place to enjoy your meal.

    Funny sign. I was alone.

My first fries with mayo. They were delicious and the staff was really nice. It's also a cosy seating area.

Absolutely amazing burgers in the Flower Market District of Amsterdam! I was not expecting absolutely phenomenal food. We had such a pleasant evening eating amazingly flavorful hamburgers, fries and sweet potato fries with such sauces as truffle Mayo and also chipotle. Here's a surprise; the draft Heineken tastes amazing ( I guess because it's brewed here in town). I normally dislike sitting outside but the temperature was 72 with no humidity Very highly recommended!

Keto Burger with truffle mayo! Sadly it was way overcooked.

This place has a cute vibe! The waiters were awesome about our keto burger requests (no bun). Sadly the burgers were way overcooked. The truffle mayo is delicious!

There is a reason this is the best burger in Amsterdam! I ate at Ter Marsch in Rotterdam five years ago and I still dreamed of that burger so I had to stop while in Amsterdam. I had the Gojira which had an outstanding flavor profile. It comes as two sliders which is perfect to savor the flavor. The beer is also amazing!

Ordered the Truffle Wagyu Burger, which caught my eye when I was looking at the menu outside the restaurant. This did NOT disappoint at all. You can tell when a burger is made with some really good meat quality. This was readily apparent here because they were not afraid to cook this medium rare. It really doesn't get better than this! Staff were very friendly here! Even reposted my Instagram stories very quickly! One of my favorite things to do in Amsterdam is to walk around and find a great place to eat. Busy lunch hours seemed to be dropping off around 13:30, about when I was there. It's possible there's an upstairs, but it was roped off on my visit. I decided to go with a unique combination, an unconventional choice, with the "Silence of the Lambs" burger, a patty made out of lamb, topped with goats cheese and sautéed onion. There was just one guy manning the register, and one lady cooking in the back. The first bite was divine, but towards the end I found it to mellow out to a rather neutral impression. I'd like to have tried a beef burger, and was contemplating the Dragon, but when in Ams. Worth a try, if convenient to do so.

I originally thought it was the German Burgermeister chain which we really liked in Lucerne. We were even more curious when finding out that it's a local burger spot with only 3 locations in Amsterdam. This one is located on Utrechtsestraat in the city center near Rembrandt Square. It appears to be a small space when you first enter. There's a downstairs kitchen with bar seating as well as a booth at the window. Their actual dining area is upstairs. We were greeted immediately and asked to sit anywhere. Our order was taken at the table. It was great service from the get-go! I think our biggest first impression was the cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms. You just don't see that level of clean just anywhere. The burgers here are exceptional. They are gourmet-type burgers that are cooked to order. We thought about getting fries with it, but decided not to after seeing the size of these burgers. I could barely eat it all. Our Mokum Cheese Burger was absolutely delicious and very juicy. I loved every topping. I can't name it all, but I know it had some type of aged cheese with a hint of horseradish in the sauce. The pickles were tasty. I wish I could give you every ingredient. All I know for sure is that it's made with Blonde d'Aquitaine beef. They have a cookbook for sale if you're interested. The drinks are varied from gin & tonic to beer, wine, and lemonade. I enjoyed their loose-leaf jasmine mandarin tea served hot. There's a little room upstairs for creative people who like to sketch. I saw some of them decorating the walls. Having a burger in different countries may seem uninspiring for some people. I've found it to be very telling of the local culture and flavor. Especially in restaurants that have a standard of high quality ingredients. This is one that I'd go back to when visiting Amsterdam. The service made it even better.

I found it browsing Yelp, and the name alone told me this was going to be a meat-forward kind of night. Fair warning if you're bringing anyone squeamish about restaurant names: The wife wasn't thrilled about it going in, though the food won her over fast. Getting there was its own small adventure. The place sits down a narrow alley, and our Uber couldn't get us all the way to it, which turned into a bit of a hike. That happened to us more than once in Amsterdam, using the exact address didn't always mean the driver could actually reach the door, so budget a few extra minutes if you're headed here. I normally default to steak, but the menu had a burger topped with pulled pork that promised more meat than a straight cut, and I couldn't pass it up. Delicious. Genuinely one of the best burgers I've had. But the wife's flat iron steak might have stolen the night. Flat iron is one of the most underrated cuts out there, and this kitchen proved it. She was still talking about that steak days after we got home, enough that I ended up buying flat irons from Costco just to chase it. The atmosphere is cool and a little edgy, dim lighting, a lot of character, and yes, some genuinely creepy decor scattered around, including an old doll that stares at you like it's judging your order. It ran loud, but not so loud we couldn't hold a conversation across the table. Service was good, just on European time rather than American time. Getting the check took a while, which threw us off at first, but that's the norm across the EU, not a knock on this place specifically. Pricey, but worth every bit of it. We'd go back without hesitation next time we're in Amsterdam.

They didn't quite communicate with each other about our need to split the check a specific way, but it worked out in the end. We enjoyed some cocktails and beer (ranging from 9.50 Euro to 12 Euro), as well as the Pork Belly and Pickles to start off (21.50 Euro for 300 grams). Tasty way to start the meal. The three of us shared our mains and enjoyed what we had. The Favorite Ribs (24.50 Euro) were flavorful; the L'Incroyable 300gr (Ribeye; 34.50 Euro) was good, but our least favorite of what we ordered; the Le Cannibale Royale 170gr (burger) was super tasty. We also enjoyed some frites (4.90 Euro) and some delicious Mac n Cheese (6.50 Euros). Good time and good food!
