I stopped by the salon the other to purchase a gift certificate. I walked in there was NO ONE at the desk. Given that I had a bad experience here, I have friends who do like it here. I waited for a bit until someone came out. I guess they recognize me from my yelp review and gave me attitude for the review I gave them. I told them honestly that my experience was not great and that maybe I'll try them again when I have time. I don't know what Heather M. is talking about with the Pedi/Mani being separated from the hair side. If she has truly been to the salon, she would know that the pedi and mani is on the side of the hair stations, not separated. And as for Heather M.'s comment about other salons giving Teree a bad review. There are alot of good salons in Auburn, I highly doubt they would waste their time giving this salon a bad review. That's just unprofessional. I actually met an employee who used to work for Teree Salon, she now rents a booth somewhere else and trust me... there's a reason why there are bad ratings. None of the employees tend to stay longer than a few months working there. However, I didn not appreciate the attitude that was given to me because of the review I gave them. read more

Do I have to give them a star? I don't think they deserve one. I went here without expecting much because my hair cut is not difficult. I left the most disappointed I've ever been leaving a salon in my life. The girl who cut my hair ruined my bangs. I look like a tried to cut my hair myself without using a mirror. Not to mention the girl cutting my hair arrived 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I've never left a bad review about any salon even when they made a mistake with my hair. Simply because they tried to fix it and made me feel better. I wrote the owner of Teree a long letter and she responded in one sentence, with no concern. I will never go back and waste 80 dollars on a such a bad hair cut again! I suggest if you are reading this you consider other options! read more

I have been trying to find some positives but I need to say it like it is and hopefully Teree will it one more time from a new customer. I had a Groupon Spa package to use for this service which was a huge waste of time and money. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment, nobody at the front desk, a girl doing a pedi eventually came and gave a bunch of forms to fill out (through the process I found out that nobody ever read them before my services) and told me she was finishing a pedicure (not really, starting it) and would be with me right away. Half an hour later I was taken to a room for my facial and left there waiting for 20 minutes. No excuses or apologies at all. The facial was the most rudimentary I have ever received, no steam, no tools, just hot towels and some creams and we were done!. I was not told where I was going next and then later I found out that the reason was that they did not know that either. So, after sitting for a while they told me that they were going to do my mani pedi and then the massage. I was wondering how in the world I was going to get a massage with fresh painted nails...Half way through my manicure, which was first, I was asked to get up and go for my massage. The massage was an even bigger joke, no technique, actually very old ones (bumpy, horse steps sound on my back) no harmony, very disconnected, when it ended I thought the girl was looking for more cream to continue on another area and by the way, not even close to an hour long. Back to the waiting room to continue my mani pedi and wait until the nail tech finished a mani pedi which happened 25 minutes after. I have to say that the only person that cared seemed to care was the Carissa the nail tech. This girl has good people skills, is trying to make her customers happy, soft spoken and manages to send you the right vibes to calm you down within the chaos. The salon lacks management, it is running on unrealistic schedules and seems to be short staffed. As a customer, I was a number and a ping pong ball. All in all Teree, I couldn't wait to get out of your salon and go home. I hope you can change this experience for other customers which will certainly bring you plenty of business and turn your salon into a successful business. read more

So here goes and hear me out, amidst all the negative reviews. I'm toying between a 3.5 and 4 but will be going back, and will update with follow-ups. I got a gift certificate from my siblings for the holidays for "the works": haircut, massage, mani/pedi, facial, brow wax. I was so excited but a little hesitant, given that I'm new to the Worcester area and haven't yet found the salon for me. Of course I turned to Yelp and looked up reviews on Teree and immediately got more nervous and thus put off using the gift certificate until now. I called to get an appointment over the weekend and was happy that the salon is open late during the week since I usually work until at least 6 or 6:30. I made an appointment for 7:00 for a hair cut and a brow wax. Of course, I start running late at the end of the day and knew I was going to be 10 minutes late. I called to let someone know and to apologize but I kept getting a voicemail saying the salon was closed. I figured since I was already in the car and on my way, I'll still drive to see if it's really closed or not, but was a little peeved. I keep calling back and after 4 or 5 tries get in touch with someone who tells me they were down a receptionist, to take my time, and not to worry about being late. I get there around 7:10, I walk in and am greeted professionally, my coat was taken and hung up, and I was asked to take a seat and the stylist would be with me momentarily...but that was really 20 minutes. Yes, I know I myself was late, but my appointment was at 7:00, not 7:30, which is when I sat down in the salon chair. I explained I wanted a good couple of inches taken off, some long layers cut in and side bangs long enough to be easily pinned back since I have to have my hair up and out of my face for work, but wanted to be able to play it up when I go out. The stylist listened and we had a nice chat while she did her thing, and my hair came out great! It really was exactly what I had asked for, and what's more, I was actually able to re-create the look easily by myself the morning after. My brow wax was nicely shaped, very natural. Obviously waxing isn't pain-free, but I've had my fair share and am never really bothered by it. But this time, it was more the after-the-fact: I got home and my brows were still red and the next day were still painful to touch. Not sure what happened, but hey, at least they look good. So yes, I will be going back Yelp-ers! I got exactly what I asked for, even if it was slow. I'll book again probably right at the beginning of the day to avoid back ups and will follow up with the review. read more

I purchased the BuyWithMe Deal - $79 for a myriad of services. I received a massage, facial, hair cut (was supposed to be plus a blow dry but more on that in a moment), eyebrow wax, and mani pedi. To start with the positives - The massage was amazing- I would go back again for Kristy in a heartbeat. Natasha did my facial and it was good - my skin looked wonderful afterwards. I really appreciated her telling me what kind of products I need but not making any sort of salesy push. She also did a GREAT job on my brows--exactly what I asked for. Jenny cut my hair and did a good job - I asked her to give it a trim and she did, so I can't comment on her skill beyond that. I did see an updo she put on one of the attendants in the wedding party that was there, and it was gorgeous, so I'd ask for her for prom/wedding! Also, I saw the makeup artist - I don't know her name but she looked like Sophia Bush - do pretty much the most amazing makeup job ever on the bride. She looked lovely. The negatives - Mani pedi was only so-so - I would have been angry had I paid the $32 for the pedicure for sure. The biggest detraction for me was something that other people might not notice, but really bugs me. Basically, the employees were all extremely friendly, which was nice, but I think that maybe some professionalism was sacrificed in the name of being friendly. In particular, I was treated to a tirade about the "bridezilla" qualities of the bride and the unpleasant qualities of her attendants, as well. Some language and topics of conversation during certain portions of the treatments were also a little raunchy, which I didn't think was appropriate. Basically, I left feeling like I was going to be a topic of conversation....which I mean, of course you're going to talk about your clients, but letting clients know that you badmouth other clients just leaves a yucky taste in my mouth. Also, my blow dry was started by the youngest girl there (who was also cleaning the nail tubs and sweeping hair) which I didn't have any problem with, but it was never finished, and it was poorly done. My hair looked a MESS afterwards. After washing and blow drying myself, though, the cut was good. Finally, the little things were missing - they were out of milk for coffee, there was a mix-up in our bookings and no additional services/reschedule was offered, the entire day ran 2.5 hours longer than scheduled, the towels were older, the water for my pedicure was cold. I get it that these are pretty much the best "problems" in the world, but I think this salon has potential and great employees and just needs a little redirection. Overall - I was glad I only paid $80 plus individual tips for the services, and I'm sure for a place out past Metro West this is a top of the line spa. I think that with a little more professionalism and attention to detail this place could be great. The massage alone was worth the price, and if I am ever in the area again I will definitely rebook with Kristy. read more

Enough said Also, word on the street is that the salon is up for sale and the owner is planning to move to New York City so I doubt things are going to improve any time soon. I have to say, I am really not a bad review writer kind of gal, but this experience was so absurd that it bordered on the comical. I must say I have never witnessed this degree of disorganization, lack of concern for the customer, and non professionalism in my many spa/salon experiences. The employees were nice enough, but it felt like the clientele were an irritating burden on there shockingly poorly managed time. My appointments were changed around, without asking me, to try to accommodate this. I was not given the full value of my voucher. The massage I requested, and called to confirm, was not what was given to me. These are literally just a few of the (almost) laughable mishaps in what I could describe, at best, as an amateur attempt at something resembling a spa experience. If what you are looking for is a relaxing, tranquil, peaceful treatment where you feel taken care of, and pampered...this isn't it. While it is less expensive, you get what you pay for. read more

If I had read these reviews before I made my appointment, I would have gone elsewhere, but I must say that my experience was much different. I even made an appointment before I left to come back....which I never do. When I walked in, I was greeted right away. I was offered a drink, which I havent experienced before. Heather did a great job with my hair~ it came out better than I expected. She was also very helpful with the correct products for my hair. The salon was very clean and inviting and made me feel comfortable. I only wish that they did accrylics because I would go there to have them done. All in all, I had a great experience and will be going back. read more

I had a very bad experience at Teree salon in Auburn and will not go back. The atmosphere at times was unprofessional. A friend and I bought a groupon, we thought we were getting a great deal, but you get what you pay for! First of all, they double booked us with another set of friends so they were short staffed the whole day. The service was so slow, it took 3 different girls (one of which did not know what she was doing) and almost 2 hours just to complete my pedicure. My feet were so pruned, I actually had to remove them from the water. The massage was not to satisfaction either. The masseuse came off a little harsh and barely touched my neck even after I stated that that was were I held all of my tension. We did not get the option of what kind of massage we were getting and the massage was definitly not an hour, as the groupon stated. She also seemed to walk around like she had a very bad attitude. Towards the end of the day (since the salon was so behind and stayed open way pass thier stated closing time) she actually shouted (if my hearing is correct) for everyone to leave! What's even worse is the fact that through all of this crazy day, the owner sent a staff member to Dunkin Donuts instead of trying to catch up with customers! This day was not relaxing at all and it turned into a 5 hour experience (my friend and I were starving), not to mention I barely saw my friend since we had to be split up even for the mani/pedis. Half the time I felt like I was just sitting there, watching the madness and wondering when I was going to get attended to. Don't go here!!! read more

I was referred by a coworker. I had a full foil with high & low lights done and a haircut. Michelle was my stylist and she was very knowledgeable and recomended the high & low lights which made my hair look alot more natural. I've received alot of complements. She also took her time and corrected what my stylist did wrong. As far as the business end of the salon, they need a receptionist badly to organize appts. and phone calls. My appt. was supposed to be at 10:30am and I didn't sit in the chair until almost 11:30. Then my stylist was interuppted by phone calls which made me have to wait. This salon needs training in customer service. Nobody is on the same page. I was told one thing over the phone and then I was told something different by the owner. Then, the owner had the audacity to claim that the girl on the phone told me differently and basically called me a liar. I left telling the owner that she had lost a customer and her response was "We have enough!" Since they have "enough customers" according to the owner, I would advise you all not to go there or you might get the same service! read more

If you are looking for a professional, clean, salon, where the employees are kind, courteous and very attentive, this is the salon for you. They whole staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They are quick to welcome customers, and offer drinks with a smile. The salon was not as gossipy as many others I have been to. The staff had only good things to say about each other and there was no Cattiness. I had a gel Manicure and gel pedicure; both lasted well over two weeks. Also, the owner was very generous with her time and advised me against getting my hair cut and against getting extensions, putting my needs first. I was very, very pleased with the experience. I have already recommended them to everyone who will listen. It is very much worth the try. read more

I bought a Groupon for a mani/pedi, facial, and massage a few months ago. I split up the voucher and had a pedicure done and it was pretty good. The salon is cute with a great parking lot. I decided to go back for another pedicure a month or so later and called a day in advance for an appt. I was able to book a 7:30p appt and arrived at exactly 7:30p. There were 3 manicurists and 4 customers receiving mani/pedi's. I was told to take a seat and they would get to me. There were 2 women sitting in the waiting area. I sat down and started reading magazines. A long story short, at 8:15pm one of the two women still waiting there asked one of the manicurists what time she thought she would receive her pedicure. The manicurist responded that they were a little behind schedule and they would be seen soon. The girl waiting turned to me and said that her appt was suppose to be at 7pm. So at this point, they were at least an hour and 15 minutes behind!! I got up and told the girls that I couldn't wait. They felt bad but honestly, they should have told me when I walked in that they were over an hour behind schedule. I wouldn't have wasted 45 minutes of my time!! (I emailed the company to report this and they never responded.) I decided to finish up my groupon and scheduled a facial and massage on a friday night beginning at 5:30p. I received a reminder phone call the day before (on my cell phone) and showed up the next day at 5:30p and a manicurist was shocked when I gave her my name. She told me that they had called me that day to cancel my 5:30 p facial AND sent me an email. I told her that I received a confirmation phone call the day before on my cell phone but did not receive a call or email that particular day. She said they made numerous attempts to reach me. The massage therapist said that she could do my massage early. It was a decent massage but I was pretty pissed. I do understand that they are having some turnover issues but honestly the customer service is horrendous!! A simple phone call is all that is necessary. I did have a missed call from the salon on my house phone when I got home but why would they call my cell phone to confirm my appt and then call a completely different number to cancel my appt. I didn't have a chance to go home before my 5:30pm appt so wouldn't it have made sense to call my cell phone especially because they had called it a day before. This place is just plain terrible!! Good customer service is key and honestly I don't know how they will be able to stay in business!! I understand that staff might be hard to keep but be honest with your customers!! I finally stopped going to get my haircut at this salon. I got the same stylist about twice. I was dismayed when I came in and my appointment was with someone different. I thought my first haircut was good and I liked the stylist. Then the 3rd time I came in it was with someone different. It doesn't seem like this salon keeps stylists for some reason. read more

If I could give this business no stars, I would! I had been before because of a groupon that I had purchased. I live in Auburn, and I honestly didn't even know they were there or how close they were, so I thought, this is great! My first experience was ok at best. My pedicure took about 3 hours because the technician kept gabbing to the other workers and whenever someone needed to check out, she had to leave me to go check out. I wasn't too thrilled with the time, but the location of it couldn't be beat, so I decided to try it again. I called and left a message to get another appointment, and they never called me back. So, I called them. They put me on hold then hung up on me!!!!! I will NEVER go back here! read more

I tried them a couple times- once for me and then with my daughters- had to go back to get my daughters hair fixed; with me Teree couldn't be bothered to treat me cuz she was too busy pampering herself and put me in with a non- certified Ouidade stylish. Last ten minutes, whe showed up and put excessive goop in my hair...then she and stylist quoted two different prices for service- she just wanted the sale and didn't care for customer service or satisfaction. read more

Loved both the girls in the shop and I had a mani pedi. My only disappointment would be that too many coats of nail polish on nails and even after letting them dry while having my pedicure they were still tacky and were ruined after leaving. Toes dried fine. read more

I had a great experience here. I used the Groupon for an express mani-pedi. The whole process actually took 2 hours rather than 1, but I wasn't in a rush and actually appreciated the extra attention. Karrie was amazing. I got a high quality manicure and pedicure - 2.5 weeks later, they've only slightly chipped. The owner, Teree was really sweet as well. I plan to go back. read more

I went there today and had a fabulous experience. I've been looking for a new salon for awhile. I took advantage of their new customer special which includes a cut, style, mani, pedi, facial, massage, waxing all for $100. I thought what could it hurt? I was prepared to get the bare minimum since they were probably losing money on the certificate. However, they spent a lot of time with me. I spent three hours for a mani/pedi, haircut. My stylist, Michele, was extremely friendly and professional and she gave me an excellent cut and my fingers and toes are absolutely beautiful. And the pedi/mani side was separate from the hair stations in the salon. Their receptionist was young, however she still managed to call and confirm my appointment twice. I appreciated the detail. I've been to a lot of different salons, all upscale and this place was a great experiece and an incredible deal for the money. And I love a good deal, especially on a date night. I rebooked without a second thought and would recommend it to anyone. Personally the last couple reviews sound like sour grapes from a competing salon. My mother and I purchased 2 coupons from Groupon. The coupon was good for a Shellac manicure and pedicure. Each coupon was $35, valued at $70. (When I called a week later, I was told that pedicures were $30 and shellac and a full manicure was $22.) When we arrived for our appointments, we were greeted by the receptionist who did not appear to happy to be there. (My nail tech later told me she was a manager). We were introduced to our nail tech's, 2 very pleasant girls. We were handed "menus" and told that we could pick any pedicure (not including the last listed) for an additional charge of $15. We both chose a sea-type. To sum it up, our feet were soaked for about 10 minutes, and our feet were barely touched. Our cuticles were barely trimmed and our feet hardly buffed on the bottoms. Though the techs didn't appear to be rushing (the salon was empty other than a woman having her hair done). A foot scrub was quickly applied then removed, and then the same for the lotion. A hot towel was put over our feet, then a quick polish and on to our manicures. I am still wondering what we paid an additional $15 for since nothing out of the basic pedicure was done. Again with the manicures, like the pedicures, consisted of nothing. I told my tech how overgrown and dry my cuticles were, but nothing was trimmed. Neither tech even ran anything under our nails, though my mother said she had something under one nail. My mother's shellac wasn't even and was goopy. The tech was really nice and reapplied it and said she thought it was because it was the bottom of the bottle, but my mother had to choose a different color because that must have only had what was out. It seemed that the girls were trained the same way at the salon. We paid our bill and tip, left and discussed how that was the worse mani/pedi that we ever had . It was a given that we weren't ever going back. Now comes the fun part. Within a week and a half, I left 3 calls with 2 different managers. The first manager tried saying that the coupon was for an "express" mani/pedi. Not true, though that is what it seemed like. She never offered to re-do our mani/pedi's or reimbursing us. She did say that she would give the message to the owner who would call me back. Call #2. Nancy, yet another manager, took my call. Though she seemed very sympathetic to our situation, there was no mention of having us come back in or be reimbursed. She said that the owner would call me back by the next evening. No call. On to the third call, Manager #1 answered. She was going to "pull up my file", then started to ask me what was wrong. I stopped her and said this was my third call and I wasn't explaining again. I told her that if I did not receive a call back by the owner within 24 hours to rectify the situation, that I was contacting Groupon and the Better Business Bureau. Never received a call. I cannot believe this salon is still in business. I am sure that they do not receive return clients. read more
