I feel like he has my best results in mind each time we've trained together. He's hyper focused on his clients throughout the entire sessions. The pricing structure of the gym is clear, convenient and about 30-40% less than what you will find in West Hollywood (trust me, I've shopped around). There's no 'hard-sell' and after one session you will be sold. Kekoa is an incredible value. You truly feel you are training with a world-class expert who uses what I believe are tried-and-true (read: old school) methods, there are no trendy exercises (that I've seen). Since you are working out alone you can grunt, grit and grimace as much as you want. I think Rick wears your grunts as a badge of honor. This gym is not fancy, lots of metal plates and has everything you need. Also, the music is great. Old school hip hop, classic rock, and beat-heavy reggaeton are all rotated. The workouts are tough with very short breaks in between. You will have your ass handed to you each and every time. But why would you not want that? My main goal is muscle building. 2. Full body workout - legs, chest, back, core. 3. Rehab - massage. WOW! It was a really good workout. I'm exhausted. We mainly focused on my form which really needed some work. He gave me adjustments and gave me a lot of tips that I never would've been aware of. He also pushes you to near failure so you have a good idea of your rep range. He also provides tips for diet. Also, the rehab/massage felt quite nice. This workout is more strength based, which I prefer. The HR monitor and specifically tailored workout goals is a fun touch to help you stay on target to optimise intensity and power. 3... Results. ... It's working for me - flexibility, CV stamina, muscle strength, pain, mobility, coordination are all improving significantly, and I have not felt over-worked or overwhelmed. 4. The programming is thoughtfully designed to deliver real results, and I love that it changes from week to week.
