My friends and I were looking for an affordable place to dine in Trinoma, and when they chose Teriyaki Boy, I felt nostalgic as I haven't eaten in any branch in about two years. But back then, my favorite had always been their tofu dishes - especially their soft and melt-in-your-mouth agedashi tofu. I also loved their flavorful tofu steak. And, when I ate with a friend, we usually shared some nice maki.
Now, a few years later, I wanted to try something new. Ever since I saw okonomiyaki (popularly called Japanese pancake or Japanese pizza) in an anime, I had wanted to try it. And when I saw it in Teriyaki Boy's menu, I thought, "Why not?" And so I did. It did look like a pancake with seasoning on top. But the taste was different and not at all like pancake. It's savory, and with a taste unique to okonomiyaki I can't quite describe. You'll have to try it to understand what I mean. I love it, except I found the mayo topping a little too much.
