They randomly schedule appointments without time frames. They scheduled an appointment last quarter with a timeframe. I took off of work to make the appointment and they canceled the appointment without warning. Then yesterday I got notification that they were coming today in the a.m. so I took off work again. There was no timeframe associated with the "morning" appointment. I contacted my usual technician via text message and he stated he didn't know when he was getting here and couldn't give me a time at all. I called the office. The girl at the office answered the phone very nice but then had poor customer service skills. She told me she couldn't get a hold of the technician so she couldn't give me an answer as to the time. Over the course of nine months service, these folks failed to show three times and then billed me for the services I hadn't received. When I tried to cancel their service, though, the nightmare began. I thought I'd succeeded after the fifth e-mail and three phone calls, but they just kept scheduling me. I think we're done now, but who knows?All I know is I won't see the several hundred dollars they took for the visits where no one showed. Highly NOT recommended. read more

Would not recommend this place at all!!!!! I didn't even get my service. Was scheduled 8-12 they never showed. I called to see what was going on and with out my consent or knowledge they had rescheduled my appointment for 2 weeks out! I called to complain and all I got was one person hung up on me, one said he would have someone call me in thirty mins( waited a hour) , called again and they said some one would call me again!!!!! At this point I am not holding my breath!!! At this point I would recommend Texas at Superior pest control. I think that's where I'm going to go now too!!!!!!! read more

Called to have my home checked for pest and bugs... made an appointment 2 weeks ago. Had to wait a week and 2 days until they were available to come check my place out. The day came that they were to show up before 4pm... they never showed! They never called to tell is they wouldn't be coming that day. Called the next day to ask what the issue was they said they send someone out immediately... 3 days later and they still haven't showed. They always say they will call back and they have yet to call back after me calling multiple times!! Said they would send someone out the next day... no call no show again! Highly do not recommend this place to anyone in need of help with pest or bugs because by the time they do show up (if they ever show up) your home will be completely infested in whatever you have because they do not care about their customers even though they make GREAT money doing this job! They still wont show up! They will not call you back and you will be ate to death by bugs before you ever get help from these people. I am not sorry. There are multiple bad reviews for Anderson Pest Control throughout Chicagoland and although I appear to be the first person writing a review for Northwest Indiana, I would encourage anyone who reads this to look at the other reviews of the same company within the same region. That said, I never got to the point where Anderson came out to my house. We've had ant problems in the past and we've used other companies. It turns out that getting my house sprayed and baited for ants (inside and out) is enough to keep the ants at bay all year. All I wanted was a one-time service. I found Anderson pest control online. On their website, it literally says, "Single Pest Control Services". I called them last week. I spoke at length to "Jerry" to reassured me they do one-time services (as needed) without a package but then spent a significant amount of time trying to sell me a $456 yearly package. I told him I'd prefer the single service which he agreed to schedule. We came up with a date and time, he put it on the books and entered my information in his system, including Credit Card. He said he'd follow up early this week summarizing everything via email and he could be a point of contact if I needed anything else. He assured me that he personally would see to it that I had a good customer experience. About 45 minutes later, a different employee called me regarding the appointment I set up. She apologized and stated they never have appointments "that late" (4:45pm, which her coworker scheduled) and asked about various Saturdays. We discussed some possible dates and times and she said she'd call me back shortly. She never called back. The weekend came and went, as did this week. Not only did she never call me back with a confirmed appointment, Jerry never emailed me any type of confirmation. I called back today to try to find out what happened. The employee had no idea why I wasn't emailed or called back about the appointment. He looked up my information and it turned out that woman DID make an appointment for me. She just never bothered to call me and tell me when it was. The employee today tried to defend this stating they needed to have something on the books to which I said fine, but why didn't they simply tell me when it would be so I could confirm that time works for me? He said "well this is how it works, but we wouldn't have come out until we received a call from you." A call from ME? I didn't get an email from Jerry. I didn't get a phone call about the 'tentative' appointment... and the company then sits around and waits for the customer to hunt them down and find out what's going on? He seemed flustered and confirmed my email address and my phone number, thinking perhaps that's why I didn't get an email or a phone call (besides the fact they called last week). My information was fine. My last question was this: If I DIDN'T call, you're saying no one would have come out and no one would have called me. This would have been on the technician's calendar, but he wouldn't have come over? At first, the guy said no. Then he backtracked. I said what if this guy showed up and I wasn't home? Would they have charged me? He was quick to say no and I asked what if I DID have an appointment, or what they thought was an appointment and I didn't keep it? Would I be changed then? He didn't have an answer. I asked him to please have my information removed from his system, especially my credit card. He put me on hold for a long time and came back, saying he'd follow up with an email when it's been removed. It's been a few hours. I still haven't gotten that email. If you're interested in having people schedule visits to your home without your knowledge, I'd say this might be a good company for you. read more

They lied about the amount this would cost. Then I added a credit card to pay that they never charged, they never sent me a bill on paper. It was all email when I REPEATEDLY asked them to mail it to me as my email doesn't work well. They didn't get rid of the problem I had in the first place.
