This is a terrible place for supervised visitation. Staff members Bertha and Debbie were unprofessional, rude, and showed no compassion toward children or parents. They acted as though they could do whatever they wanted, without accountability or concern for the well-being of those they serve. The facility itself is poorly maintained and uncomfortable. On a very hot day, I requested that the AC be turned on, but Bertha and Debbie dismissed the request, saying it was "not that hot." This is unacceptable--especially in a setting where children's comfort and safety should be a top priority. The environment felt unwelcoming, and many children appeared uneasy and unhappy. The carpet was filthy, and the room smelled unpleasant, creating an unhealthy and stressful atmosphere. In my opinion, this business does not meet basic city requirements to operate such a facility. It should either be shut down immediately or undergo a complete change in management. This is not a supportive or safe place for kids. I strongly recommend finding an alternative provider with caring, respectful staff and a clean, comfortable facility. read more

Terra Firma, which promotes itself as an addiction treatment center, is absolutely the last place anyone should be involved with. I have personally witnessed at least five cases assigned by the Hayward Court that were poorly managed by this facility. They clearly lack the competence to handle visitations properly, and to make matters worse, the person in charge seems more interested in giving interviews about her so-called "success" than fulfilling her actual responsibilities. If I could, I would rate this place zero stars. It's disheartening to watch individuals gain media attention by presenting a shiny, perfect image while failing to meet the needs of the community they claim to serve. Just today, another article was released boasting about her alleged successes and struggles, yet the reality within the facility is far from the story being portrayed. I strongly urge those responsible for licensing and overseeing these institutions to conduct a full and thorough investigation into how they operate. Instead of rehabilitating individuals, they are only perpetuating harm by enabling offenders to continue their actions. It's beyond disappointing to witness such bias within an organization that is supposed to serve the community. For reference, I have yet to meet a single person assigned to Terra Firma by the Hayward City Court who has had a positive experience. Rather than promoting accountability and true rehabilitation, they're allowing offenders to remain free while creating a false public image. If you or someone you know has been directed to this facility for any form of treatment, rehabilitation, or visitation, I strongly recommend requesting a reassignment immediately. This place is doing more harm than good and is failing to serve society. And may God have mercy on Bertha Cuellar, the woman in charge--because as her name suggests, she is a liar, without a doubt. read more

I would give this place negative stars if I could ! this is absolutely no place for children. it's dirty. the staff and Bertha are very rude an unprofessional. she's lied on court document. Taking phone calls and was never once in the room with my children and their visiting parent. There was also of people present in the visit room during a confidential supervised visitation and nothing was kept private. She's has failed to call me and schedule visits even when my visiting parent would reach out to her. My First time there she raised her voice to my mother and myself. Alameda County should cancel their contract here for supervised visit. This is used for numerous things. Drug rehab. Anger Management. and I think it's a very unfit place. As I continue to go (since I know how to speak to them now) my visits get better and better. You have to realize that these people deal with a lot of BS on a daily bases so I understand why they act the way that they do. My first visit they could not find my name in their system. When I spelled it out the lady at the front desk still couldn't type it in. After almost 5 minutes I pulled out my ID and just let her read it (my last name is literally 6 letters). Then she asks me to pay the $50 for the urine sample. I handed her 3 twenty dollar bills and she told me she didn't have change and to go across the street to the taco spot and get change. After asking if she was serious she says, "just give me the money and I will get your change." I go in the back and take the test and just before I leave she comes up to me and hands me an envelope with quarters, dimes, nickels and so many god damn pennies (9 dollars in lose change). I took my money and left ... that was my first encounter. The second time I went in the same lady asks for the $50 and I handed her a credit card (no fuckin way am I paying cash) and she asked if I had cash and I told her "I'll never pay cash again in a place like this," and she said "you're not my friend today." What I should have done was bring back my change in pennies nickels and dimes and let her take it all back and count it herself since she didn't count it out for me. Worst service I've ever seen from a place when I have so much on the line. Me seeing my daughter depends on these people, and they are the most disorganized organization I have seen. Not trying to bash, I honestly hope they read this and take it as constructive criticism. Maybe keep a money drawer rather than asking around and scrounging up pennies out of their purses? These are kind-hearted people who give of themselves to provide a safe environment for kids and parents to bond. The classes they provide are needed in volatile situations. Registration was tough since it can't be done online, but smooth once you get there. The services they offer have protected my child and me from an unstable person. Been here a few times for different things. Bertha runs this joint and don't get on her bad side. Front counter deals with a lot of people, some good people some bad people. If you get caught right after they deal with a bad person then your service might not be all that great but just try to be a good person to bring them back to the light. I felt very unsafe here. The party I am protected against was able to approach me and raised his voice at me. It appeared there was no one in the room supervising that he came from. My son fell off a bike and was hurt and was not wearing a helmet. My son was told things by the person we were protected from in secret while supposedly being supervised. This place is a total and utter joke, how they manage to stay in business is beyond me. I was referred here by the court for a class. They didn't care to teach you anything as long as you paid the fee. The people working here are terrible rude and unorganized. I needed a progress report i ordered it 3 weeks in advance and the day i was told to go pick it up, it wasn't ready.. they charge $25 if you don't give them 10 day notice, so they tried to charge me because i didn't give them enough notice which i absolutely did. The class was pointless, the instructor seems nice but has no curriculum he basically talks for 30 minutes about something looses track and repeats himself. I would be very cautious of using this establishment. My spouse went through a program here and was told that physical violence was an acceptable reaction to my verbal disagreements with my spouse on a number of items, note during most of these disagreements i have been too afraid to even raise my voice because of the escalation that occurs when i try to assert myself. Per my spouse they also believe the restraining order for several domestic assaults was not warranted. one of the assaults was with a glass mug from behind which caused profuse bleeding, left a small permanent indentation in my scalp and almost rendered me unconscious - after my children witnessing this and thinking she had killed me, i had no choice but to obtain a restraining order. I have been tortured after my spouse attended Terra Firma - and received threats because of their assertions. Since my spouse attended their diversion program the frequency of violence against myself and my children has increased dramatically. I will mention my spouse has been much less severe, my spouse has not drawn blood, since attending their program however has had 5 assaults and since they have been minor the children do not wish to share them, and there are no marks left on me so i as well would be in a he-said she-said situation. Over the years there have been about 30 physical assaults, of which 3 have resulted in the arrest of my spouse. I really feel they have enabled my spouse to NOT accept responsibility for my spouses actions and thus have created a horrible situation of emotional and verbal abuse with myself and the children as well. While I can not be sure of this it almost seems like Terra Firma has educated my spouse on how to get away with these attacks by being less severe. read more

Do not receive a Drug Assessment from Terra Firma by Maryam Salimpour, AMFT. She is corrupt! My husband and I do not drink or use drugs. We did inform her of this fact and presented to her proof of this with the results of consistent clean testing from us conducted by Victory Outreach. She still made us randomly drug test multiple times during the week for approximately over a month at her business Terra Firma. Additionally, she decided to conduct a mental assessment on the both of us even though she was not hired to do that for us and we do not have a mental illness or an anger management issue. She did report that we do not have a mental illness or an anger management issue. She still recommended that my husband be admitted and for me to take a six month anger management class at her business Terra Firma (30086 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544.) She is unrighteous. Our family just started using the supervised exchange services provided at Terra Firma. We took our children in for a tour before we decided to switch to this facility (We were formerly using "Safe Exchange" in Oakland, also a great facility, with loving & supportive supervisors. Mr. Ron Zeno is a loving man, and Head Supervisor. He has a gentle and caring way with the children. He has a really big heart, and has been a Godsend to our family. He even taught one of our sons how to juggle. Thank you Ron !!!). Back to Terra Firma: The custodial parent parks in the front parking lot and drops the kids off through the front of the building, and 15 minutes later, the non-custodial parent arrives and parks in the back of the building, to pick the kids up. The way it is set up protects the kids from ever witnessing any negative interactions of any kind. Definitely worth the money in our book. Very clever arrangement. Two thumbs up from us. Terra Firma eliminates any interactions between the sides, and ensures the exchanges stay "stable, peaceful and drama-free." In high conflict situations and/or problematic situations that involve any addiction issues/substance abuse, etc...the most important thing is to keep the kids out of the middle, keep the kids safe, and that's exactly what these wonderful places and supervisors do. Anything that helps eliminates any unnecessary stress and drama in our kids lives, gets our vote. read more

Bertha is the supervisor here. She does not follow the court orders, she lies to the courts and the police and asked about her process and the guidelines. She pretty much supports the paying party, as long as they can make their dollar. The staff and Bertha put the children in jeapordy, they don't disclose the truth about what is really taking place at their facility or the people who they are supposed to supervise. Their is a huge corruptive behavior, and you really can't do anything about it cause they are privately owned. They are putting peoples children in danger and jeapordy, they don't want to do the right thing, they are biased. If you ordered into Terra Firma supervised visitation do not allow Rayleen to be your supervisor if your a man!!! She acts like a hater and treats all men like child molesters. The first person I met at Terra Firma was Rayleen and I was greeted with a very unprofessional and abrasive; "Why are you here, is it for child molestation?". You can't trust her reports and she projects a specter of discomfort over the visits which are hard enough to get thru with the nicest of supervisors. I found none of the supervisors to be qualified in any area of family therapy or psychology and often don't get it right when you need it the most. The court will take what these "nonprofessionals" write as if it came from a qualified therapist. By the time you get thru the 1 or more years 730 Evaluation process and are exonerated of the false abuse allegations from the malicious mother, you will be broke and have had your child alienated from you. The Commissioner in my case (Elizabeth Hendrickson) placed my child into indefinite supervised visitation "because of my animosity towards the mother". The mother had made a false abuse report against me during a custody dispute which was proven false by the 730 Evaluator. The 730 recommended that "Supervised visitation should be immediately suspended because it makes the child think the father cannot handle the child on his own". Elizabeth Hendrickson stated; "We have something here that is working fabulously" and discarded the 730 recommendation entirely (which is almost unheard of BTW). After three years of supervised visits and my daughter crying that she "wanted to see her baby brother more before he gets too big"(my son was in my full time care from my new wife) and bursting into tears as she exclaimed "I'm afraid my brother is going to forget about me!"; nobody did anything to change anything for the child. My motions fell on deaf and dumb ears of the court and I became hopeless of getting any remedy for my child's suffering. Dr. Fallin, the 730 Evaluator pleaded to The "Holistic"Law Offices of Cherie T Davis via email after Elizabeth Hendrickson's awful (and arguably illegal decision) to ignore the court order and encourage the mother to adopt his recommendation for the best interest of the child. He was completely ignored too. After three years of supervised visits (aka "Baby Jail") my daughter began developing suicidal behavior and cutting and burning herself. She had to be 5150 more than twice to various child mental health hospitals. By the time I discovered what was going on we were in our fourth year of supervised visits and it was revealed that the child had been harming herself for a year at that point. Her mother is an RN and the child had been under the care of a regular MFT who either both missed the child's symptoms or were hiding them to protect the mother. At near our final visit (supervised by Rayleen) my daughter began opening up ad said "My mother is taking her anger out on me". She began showing me the cuts and burns and discussing her situation with me finally after years. Rayleen just yelled at us to shut up and said "This is not a therapy session!". The "unsupervised" supervised visitation industry is a violation of a parent's fundamental rights and promotes parental alienation. It has become a process to make money for the lawyers and owners of these establishments because it increases animosity and promotes more expensive litigation. A citizen of the United States should not have to pay for their rights!!! Unless there is evidence brought forth by the DA, due process, and a conviction that is relevant to child abuse or mental health issues which create a danger to the child, then no parent or child should be subjected to this abuse of discretion. Having an argument with a child or animosity towards the other parent is not a legal basis to be placed into supervised visitation. Family Court is Unconstitutional based on the fact it has no Jury Trials. Pretty good, I did a drug test here for internship back in 2013. It was quick, no appointment needed. I just called and asked for the business hours because I am referring my friend there. The lady over the phone said Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6:45pm for drug test. I just wanna to post this to let other people know about the business hours. By way of family court my family was sent to Terra firma so that my children could have supervised visits with their father. I wasnt excited about the prospect of having to leave my kids with strangers, especially in the company of their father. But I felt immediately reassured upon meeting bertha Cuellar, director of the agency. She took real good care of us, explained the process to us and most importatntly my kids had healthy, safe contact with their father. While it would have probably been easier and more comfortable if we had a family members who could have supervised my kids time with their dad, this was a safe and helpful alternative. thanks Bertha! read more

I walked in here with a smile on my face & the first thing I get asked is "What do you want" ... ok so I continue to explain what I need & the lady at the front desk cuts me off & sends me to the back. After I took care of what I needed to I left without anyone telling me to have a nice day or any thing. Every time I called to follow up with them I got sent to someone else (everyone there is just rude) where I had to start explaining everything over again.
