I needed a water heater. I called Terrano and gave them the exact model number of water heater and the owner Ross Terrano gave me a price of $1098 over the phone. Ross then came to my home to complete the work. They removed my old water heater and once my heater was removed they then told me that price of the water heater had gone up and it was now going to cost me almost $3000!! I had already given them the model number over the phone and they quoted me a price on that exact model but now the price had mysteriously tripled? If that wasn't a classic bait and switch then I don't know what is. They had me in a vulnerable position and tried to take advantage of the situation. I called another plumber who sold and installed the exact heater for $1320 ($200 of which was to replace the gas line that Terrano removed from my property when they took the old heater). This is the same heater that Terrano claimed would cost me almost $3000. They then sent me an invoice for the work they did and filed a lien on my home. CROOKS!!
