I don't even know where to begin other than to say If you have come across this page to help you…read moreplan your destination wedding travel ... you have found the best in the business . I actually first started working with someone from Destify, but the communication just wasn't there for me. I found this site from a simple Google search and as soon as I reached out, I heard back from someone and from there I was set. I first worked with Miriam, who helped me set up my site tours and help me figure out where I even wanted to go. She really help me focus in and figure out what I wanted to do. After I figured it out the resort I wanted to use she helped me with the communication with the resort, getting the contract signed, and even getting a room block set up, which I initially wasn't sure about, but I must say it was one of the best decisions we made during this planning process . So she was always there for some great advice. She then connected me to Leticia, who took the rest from there and help me with getting my website set up for my guests to book their rooms and get all the information about the wedding from. They put up the site so quickly and made it so easy and seamless for my guest to book or ask questions. Because everything was through email I always had tons of questions and they were always so quick to answer me and treat me like I was their only client because of how great their service was. Everyone at Hola Weddings , even if one of my planners was not in the office was always great about getting back to me and treating me with such kindness . When planning a wedding there's a lot of things that you may stress it out, but they make everything on their end so easy!! They sent out the travel information to us once everything was booked and getting close to the wedding and the service they used for our pick up and drop off was excellent at communication and getting us to and from the resort I couldn't have asked for better. Our guests constantly told us how easy it was to get questions answered throughout the whole process. All I can say is how genuinely grateful I am to them for all of their services and all of their help it made a world of difference in our process and our wedding !!

We had Leticia who truly paid attention to every detail and concern we had. They fostered incredible connections with our hotel, and it was clear they have fantastic relationships with the resorts. I would definitely recommend using them to contact your hotel versus you trying to initiate the process with the hotels yourself. We initially reached out to another company who passed us off to a third party. Hola Weddings, however, provided true concierge service. Their response time was impeccable, every detail felt personalized to us, and they were incredibly transparent about contracts and concessions, always working within our budget. Also, they work with you at no-cost and it's no GOTCHAs or weird sales pitch. It's a pretty easy going conversation. I started with all my concerns in our first conversation and they answered directly, no minced words. Very clear! At no point did we feel unsafe or uncertain. Hola Weddings made the entire process feel secure, and we knew they were always advocating for us. The guest dashboard they provided was a fantastic tool for monitoring bookings. They were always willing to hop on a Zoom call whenever we requested it, and their reminders to guests for payments were super helpful because it was a task we didn't have to do. Even our guests preferred contacting Hola Weddings directly because their responses were so prompt and helpful! We were also lucky enough to meet Leticia!! They also provided incentives and were clear on any incentives the hotel will provide. That process can be complicated but they made it simple! They also use a company that helps arrange transportation to the resort. That went pretty smoothly for the most part. Everyone had safe, clean rides. Well organized return transportation no one waited long for their airport ride, where we saw other resort guests waiting before our guest and were still waiting. Our rides pulled up on time. They were a key factor in making our DREAM wedding a reality. Thank you, Hola Weddings, from the bottom of our hearts!

I am beyond disappointed with my stay at this resort. The *only* reason this place is getting one…read morestar is because the food was actually good. Beyond that, the entire experience was a monumental letdown. From the second you walk through the door, you are ****aggressively**** hounded by sales staff trying to force an upgrade on you. They expect you to sit through a grueling 90-minute high-pressure timeshare pitch. One of my friends agreed to go just so our group could get the "gold bands"--which brings me to another major issue: they completely hide the fact that the resort is restricted. Where you can and cannot go depends entirely on the color of your wristband. I don't have the patience for that kind of predatory, "hard-sale" environment. When I go on vacation, I want to relax, not be constantly cornered by salespeople. The transportation and layout were equally frustrating. The shuttle was never on time, which is a massive problem because if your room is near the top of the property, you have to take the shuttle all the way down to the beach just to get any food. To make matters worse, there is zero food service at the pools, so again you're forced to go to the bottom of the resort. Restaurants were hard to book and they opened on or two a night. Some poolside restaurants were temporarily closed. Seriously, it was a hassle to stay here Most alarming, however, were the severe safety hazards: * **Dangerous Shuttles:** At one point, I literally had to yell at our shuttle driver--while the vehicle was in motion--to put his phone away and watch the road. He was so distracted by his music and phone that he almost struck pedestrians on the side of the road. * **Broken Elevators & Dark Stairwells:** Hardly any of the elevators worked. As an older guest with knee problems, being forced to climb a flight of pitch-black stairs was a nightmare (they were lit up at night). I almost fell multiple times because I literally couldn't see where I was stepping. Out of the 5 elevators I used, 4 were out of service. There was one in service but the button for our floor was missing. That also broke on day 3 of our stay. This place is desperately in need of a major upgrade. The rooms are old, the amenities are poorly maintained, and management clearly prioritizes timeshare revenue over guest safety and comfort. I will absolutely not be returning To ANY SANDOS property due to the constant hounding by the staff. They took a great vacation into an annoying one.

Unfortunately, my experience at this resort did not meet my expectations…read more One of the biggest issues was the inconsistent internet service in my room. The connection was unreliable and frequently dropped, which made it difficult to stay connected during my stay. I was also disappointed to learn that there was no elevator access, despite being assigned a room on the fourth floor. This made getting to and from my room inconvenient. The spa experience was underwhelming. The jacuzzi was not as warm as expected, and the "cold plunge" was nowhere near the temperature typically associated with a true cold plunge experience. The spa amenities did not align with the expectations created by the resort's advertising. In the room, there were no separate shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Instead, there was a combined shampoo-conditioner product, which I found to be inadequate and not particularly user-friendly. Additionally, the resort advertised room service, but room service was not actually available during my stay. This was disappointing and misleading. Perhaps most concerning was the excursion experience. Vendors operating on the beach sold us what was presented as a premium catamaran excursion for $1,260. Unfortunately, the actual experience was completely different from what was advertised. The boat was significantly older and in poor condition compared to the photos shown during the sales presentation, and the buffet provided during the excursion was of very poor quality. The excursion felt misrepresented and left us feeling misled. Overall, this stay did not provide the quality, amenities, or experience we expected. Based on my experience, I would not choose to return to this resort.

Wedding Review:…read more After searching for months for the perfect all inclusive resort in Mexico to host our wedding, we decided on The Reef Playacar and it was the best decision we ever made. From the very beginning we were assigned a wedding coordinator to help us plan our special day. Vicky not only became our coordinator, but she also became a great friend. She was not only patient, but attentive and helped immensely with making every dream detail we had become a reality. She helped me get in touch with all the necessary local vendors such as florist, baker, DJ etc and made sure to outline what was included in our package so there were no hiccups or surprises. As part of our package, we got to experience the resort ahead of time as well so we could tour the property and taste food for our wedding menu. That was such a special experience and we were grateful to be able to experience the resort in advance so we could get a better idea of our planning needs and how the big day would go. As for the wedding itself, our day couldn't have been any more perfect. The ceremony was exactly how I envisioned it, a romantic tropical setup with beautiful florals. Then the reception was elegant with candles galore, a light up dance floor on the beach, and lots of string lights. It was too good to be true and I'm so happy with how it all turned out. The food, the music, and all the little decor extras I added were perfectly executed as well. I really appreciate the attention to detail! We had 75 guests total and every single one of them said this was the best destination wedding they'd ever been to. Regarding rates, the resort offers multiple wedding packages all with discounted room block rates for your wedding guests which not only made the wedding itself affordable for our budget, but the rooms affordable for our guests as well. Everyone got a vacation out of it and our guests couldn't have been happier. Destination weddings are the way to go! Thank you to The Reef Playacar for making our wedding the absolute best day of our lives and we cannot wait to come back to celebrate an anniversary in the future.

I was told I would be given a birthday reocognition, but recieved little more than daily room service but nothing else--- I ordered my own cupcakes for 65 usd. Transportation Was shared, Zero vip check in or beverage offer. The views are gorgeous and the food was generally good. However, Bartenders and waiters wait for you to head to 5th Ave for shopping, claim they know you, direct you into unsavory placesand shows of their family- to shop and sell good lies, that make it seem like you're getting a deal. Quote you less than they actually charge FOR FAKE JUNK "Just remember me Jonnie!" Mayan Jewelry II robbed us! The cab driver was more honest than these people. The food and drink options were minimal ( 1 bar inside 1 outside) and only 1 no reservation restaurant and only 1 restaurant option for breakfast. I got charged to see the in house doctor when I slipped and fell onto marble floors on my birthday. Which was a disaster in itself And if anyone can get a phone number for the mayan jewelry on the corner to the left of the ferry_ enterance, I want to ensure my bank gives them no money. For Palace, it is shameful to force tourists out of the resort (because nothing you need or want is available in house) to be taken advantage of . Had this been my first palace experience I'd have never invested in them. This is NOTHING like moon palace in cancun. It is Sun, beach, pretty views, pools and included all drinks (mostly) and all food (mostly). But spend your $ elsewhere.

This was a great selection, as my party ranged from 8- 72 years of age. The resort had evening entertainment, was close to downtown Playa del Carmen and next door to the ferry to Conzumel. The resort also allowed open space for you to walk away from the ferry to enjoy the calm, clean water. The resort is next door (walking distance from beach near ferry) to Senior Frogs and Hard Rock Cafe! My family enjoyed themselves. We even booked a complimentary photoshoot at the beach to capture the memorable experience . Few cons: No AC in certain areas of the resort, like the buffet area and the area near the indoor bar. Their kids club needs more fun stuff to lure kids to stay. And....watch for random charges. For example, during checkout, they automatically charge you a $10 "donation" fee. I eliminated it from my bill but missed it on my mom's. The pool closes early! I imagined myself hanging in a hot tub reading a book :( Super perk: you get access to Cozumel Palace. That resort is absolutely gorgeous. Pools and access to the Sea to snorkel is a must! Do it! Download the APP and you can request certain items: extra toothpaste, toothbrush, roll in bed, beer, champagne , toilet paper and room service! Customer service is great! Bring cash to tip. They notice and take care of you again when they see you. Interesting fact: My husband was not feeling well. I paid for a $100 doctor to check him out. She prescribed medication that alleviated his symptoms . They charge you at check out. Thank you Playacar of a memorable experience and ringing in my Bday!

I wish that there was more Mexican themed shows or music but I guess they try to accommodate that the majority of guests were from Canada and USA. Some of the restaurants rotate being open for dinner. Your best bet is to make reservations ahead of time. You can always show up but might have to wait depending on the time. Overall food was good. Drinks were ok but as a social drinker, I wasn't impressed with my 1-2 drinks/day during my stay. I think I had one drink that I found really good.
