People are sleeping on Madison Funeral home, they do an amazing job as well. If you plan to cremate take your loved one to a facility that offers it and cut out the middle man like Terrell Broady, he charges additional fees to transport to and from facility that does the cremation. Their "service" for my grandmother was unprofessional and deceitful at the very least. My mother had asked them to "fix" how my grandmother looked because according to her, she didn't look right. So she's thinking that's the reason they probably retaliated and the following occured. She wanted the obituary to look a certain way, as many I'm sure do. Turns out when we got the obituary, which they wouldn't let us see until it was too late and we couldn't do anything about it at that point by the way, the picture of her in the front was the wrong picture, the quality of the obituary was bad, it seemed like a child typed it out as there were so many mispellings, names typed wrong, it looked like they didn't even try with it, then the worst of all? They literally used AI to GENERATE a picture of her and my grandpa instead of using the actual picture we sent, and put it on there! Like are we serious? At least the other pictures were real even though they weren't what we asked for, but an AI generated image instead of the actual picture? There was no way this was not out of spite. They could've told us if there was an issue with the picture, which there wasn't, or at the very least communicate and discuss with us before going through with something like that. Then I hear from my mom that Mr. Brody is talking about how my grandma looks good and her body and lips are nice etc., like excuse me? Unbelievable, and I don't usually even write reviews but the way y'all did my family...not cool man. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Terrell himself was kind, personable, and responsive. But his wife and the rest of their team is rude, incompetent, lazy, and will be the downfall of this business. The wife literally hung up in my face because I asked her a question about a death certificate. She would not stop talking as I was talking, so she didn't understand the question. Instead of zipping her lips and listening, she told me to "be quiet" as if I was a child, and told me I had "a little attitude." Who speaks like that to grieving families? The woman is sick! I hope she seeks the help she desperately needs. She lacks the maturity, wisdom, and personable skill set to work in the death business. I cannot believe she spoke to me the way she did and hung up in my face over a simple question. I would avoid this funeral home. They overcharge and don't follow through. Terrell Broady is solely focused on making money. PERIOD. I understand it is a business but Mr Broady DOES NOT like to be asked questions and certainly not by women! His sons are extremely friendly and conducted the service well. BUT getting to the service is the issue. There seems to be a script that Broady follows and he has a hard time diverting from it and he refuses to answer a question directly. Limited options are presented and you only have one hour of his time before he hustles you out the door. There were five of us in the room but he only said goodbye to the first three who walked out of that office. RUDE! Cracking jokes and laughing in full blast also seemed OUT OF ORDER. I WOULD NOT recommend Broady. Go to Smith Bros for better service and better prices. Don't break the bank burying your loved one although Broady wants you to do that. I wouldn't let these people bury my dog . they were an hour and a half late to pick us up.they left out one of my aunts name on the obituary. we were an hour and a half late for my daddy's viewing at his funeral.we were 45 minutes late for the burial. Mr. Broady is always nice, but his staff appears to be from out of space and often unprofessional. I'm unimpressed every time I attend a funeral. Are they credentialed? The men are in my opinion are bad reflection of what Mr and Mrs Broady have worked so hard to accomplish. read more

If i could give NEGATIVE stars I would. So, in writing I give a -10 stars. This is the most unprofessional funeral home I've EVER encountered. It's obvious they are there ONLY for the money. During my friend's family members funeral service, you couldn't distinguish who exactly was on staff, there was no one to direct you and no one to ask questions. The so called receptionist was dressed like she just got out of bed and had her McDonald's bag out on the desk as the family and friends were gathering. They had another deceased body located in the chapel in a closet, with casket open and the door open for others to see. The quest book for the funeral I attended was placed by the family which was by the casket at the front of the chapel. Now, I know people can get very "hostile" regarding the programs, but the staff was almost literally throwing them at people, so unprofessional. It was clear that they couldn't handle the crowd, nor did they have enough staff to accommodate the large amount of family and friends. At the end of the service, no one said a word on the staff on what we should do, so therefore people just scattered all over the place. BUT, THE ABSOLUTE MOST DISTURBING THING THEY DONE....WHILE SOME OF THE FAMILY MEMBERS WERE STILL IN THE CHAPEL GREETING PEOPLE, THEY WHEELED THE OTHER BODY from the closet IN THE CHAPEL WITH THE CASKET OPEN!!!! Not only was the blatant disrespect for my friend's family, but it was for the deceased too!!!! I would never ever recommend this funeral home to NO ONE!!! So, I hope people take this review into account before you decide to take your family member to these people. They are truly the reason you see funeral homes on the news about mishandling funerals, remains and unethical practices. Why we haven't seen them on the local news baffles me and how they are still in business is unreal. Very concerning and disheartening read more
