First you are treated like a pariah if you didn't know to call ahead 24 hours to tell them you have new insurance. Then you get asked questions such as " Well have you had insurance before?". Yes, obviously as I've used it the past 6 visits at THIS OFFICE. Then she just asks you to pay in full even though you have insurance, when you refuse, she then tries to contact the insurance company herself, gets the wrong info and tells you to have a seat in the waiting room and call yourself. Oh, and this is after she tells you "We've gone above and beyond for you" Above and beyond?? You work for a medical practice that takes insurance. SO I left, called my insurance and they explained I should have no copay and there should be no issue with payment. I then called the practice back and spoke with Sam, who proceeded to ask me if I got the name of the person I spoke with at United Insurance, you mean you want the name of the person who answers the 800 number at United Health Care, a company with over 125k employees. WTF is wrong with you people, submit the claim! Maybe learn what customer retention is. All this for a cleaning and an x-ray, never had a cavity, but I'm sure I'll have some one day and it won't be business they will receive. I apologize to the dentist at this practice, but if you accept the front desk treating patients this way then you are not where I need to be.

He then proceeded to be short with me and say that my daughter needed a root canal. Upon questioning that, he said, "we can just pull the tooth then". He was very unprofessional and even condescending stating "you won't be able to see what I can on the x-rays". We cancelled further appointments and got a second opinion at another dentist. My daughter's fillings that were done at Strasburg Family Dental were done incorrectly and turns out, she does NOT need a root canal. Cannot recommend this dentist to anyone. It's sad, as Dane is pretty awesome.

I have been a patient at this practice for over 20 years, and until recently I had always had…read morepositive experiences. The only negative experience I had prior to the last few visits was years ago with Dr. Marti, who told me I had gingivitis despite the fact that I brush and floss religiously and have always been complimented on my dental health. After that visit, I saw Dr. Hearne for years, and he never mentioned any such issue. After Dr. Hearne retired, I was required to see Dr. Marti again for a cleaning and a cavity filling. Weeks after that filling, the tooth next to the one she worked on chipped. When I came back in, I was frustrated to learn that the appointment was only for her to "look at it," and that I would need to schedule yet another visit to actually fix the problem. When I expressed concern that the chipping occurred shortly after work was done on the neighboring tooth, Dr. Marti told me I should find another dentist--which I did. I left feeling dismissed, uncomfortable, and concerned that issues were being created that did not previously exist. This experience was extremely disappointing after being a loyal patient for two decades. I would avoid this place at all costs which is sad to say.
