My cap on my tooth broke off. I had a new patient appointment on Thursday of the same week!! I called today Monday and explained what happened. I was told to come in and they would see What the doctor could do. I treated very professionally and made to feel very relaxed. Doctor said the tooth needs to come out. WOW!!! He did exactly that very professionally and a very relaxed atmosphere. The office staff are fantastic. This is my first time ever seen this office. I got the name from my insurance company, and while they go above and beyond, I will definitely be going back and highly recommend anyone even if you're frightened of the dentist, you will be made to feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE read more

Trust me when I say that I am not a picky or high maintenance person. I do want to give credit to the staff who were all very sweet and personable as was Dr. Truong, however I do have some very valid complaints about the actual work being performed. First, they do not suction appropriately. I was genuinely nervous the entire time that I would choke on the water collecting in the back of my throat. He tried to use these two contraptions first that are supposed to help you keep your mouth open and do the suctioning for the dentist but they were not working as I was gargling water every time he tried to use one. Then since I guess he was so reliant on those things, he simply just left the suction hanging on the edge of my mouth without actually using it. I HAD TO SUCTION THE WATER MYSELF. Terrible. Second, forget getting an actual consultation on the X-rays. I have never seen such blurry X-rays in all my years of dental work, and I've had plenty of work done to know what they're supposed to look like. Dr. Truong seemed like he didn't even bother looking at them and I can definitely see why, however why are you charging people for crappy X-rays that you don't bother examining or using. I think he's too reliant on the pictures he takes using a pen camera in your mouth. Yeah. That's great and all for the stuff you can see, but what about those spaces BETWEEN the teeth that are typically where issues occur? That's when X-rays come into play but not these X-rays. Third, I am not at all certain what the other reviews are talking about regarding "updated equipment" or maybe it was just new a couple years ago when those customer left the review, or maybe they're just impressed with the pen camera pictures, but the drill he uses to clean your teeth of tartar buildup, sounds like it needs a serious overhaul. Without exaggeration, when I first walked in to the office I could hear what sounded like a really squeaky, shrill sound - exactly like the sound of constant nails on a chalkboard. Come to find, that's the sound of his drill, which sounds infinitely worse when it's coming into contact with your teeth. As someone who works with machinery, I can tell this man DOES NOT take care (i.e. oil) his equipment. And I'm even hard of hearing. I don't know how the staff deals with it all day. Truly. Finally, the entire reason I came in to the office to begin with was that I was in need of a replacement filling, which I did receive, however he did very little clean up of the filling material as now the side of my tooth is lumpy and gritty and not smooth and consistent with my tooth as fillings are supposed to be. It's like he spackled the hole but didn't bother sanding it AT ALL. Awful. I think the reason why this dentist has such good reviews is (1) he offers customers a chance to win $100 off their next visit in a monthly drawing for a good review, and (2) perhaps these people have just never been to a highly professional dentist before. But... at least the staff is nice. read more

Dr. T is an AMAZING dentist! He filled a cavity for my 10 year old. After he was finished, my kid told him that he was the BEST and that she wasn't scared at all. He is so amazing with kids that I take all 5 of mine to him. I also enjoy the great service that I get there as well. The office staff is THE BEST team. Honest assessment that pointed out long term underlying problems that have to do with lifestyle and clearly laid out options

Does anyone actually "like" going to the dentist? This is the closest that I've come for sure. Everyone here is unbelievably friendly (Karen is charming and wonderful), the office is comfortable and conveniently located, and the entire experience of radiographs, cleaning, and check-up was quick and painless. The staff at Riverton Dental is awesome. Extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. They remember you and your family and it makes for a warm and inviting environment. I always appreciate that. This clinic has updated equipment and is clean and relaxing. My ONLY complaint is that the doctor is a bit messy with water spray but he's polite and listens to your concerns. read more

Great experience, from making the appointment a few days ago for a tooth emergency through checking out. Courteous and friendly staff, and Dr. Truong is fantastic. The dentist is my BIGGEST fear, so I did a lot of researching before settling on Riverton. Dr.Truong was so patient with me and refused to go on with my crown procedure until I was fully numb and comfortable. He listened to me and gave me more anesthetics as needed. The front desk staff is always so kind and charming when I have interacted with them. They check benefits and give out of pocket upfront which I like. Dr. Truong explained every step to me and made sure I knew what was going on. He also checked often to make sure I was comfortable throughout my cleaning. The experiance was very quick and smooth. They will rip you off. The office manager and receptionist either have no idea what theyre doing OR they are purposely ripping people off. I gave all my insurance information well in advance of my visit and yet they didn't figure out until I was in the chair they didn't take it. Then they wanted to charge me the sale price. Buyer beware, based on other feedback I've seen other places, this is common practice for them. read more

Dr. Kevin Truang is an absolute delight to deal with. Very thorough with the process and procedures and his associates are very friendly and professional. Honesty is indeed this practice's policy. As good as it gets. I went in to see Dr. Kevin Truong after my last dental visit 2 years ago! As expected without proper maintenance, I was due for TWO root canals, a crown, and a few cavity fillings. Rather than shaming me, Dr. Truong was super patient and informative about the treatments I was to spend $$ on. He explained the procedures thoroughly and took the time to review my load of questions. Thankfully he accepts an array of insurances so I was able to start a long trial of procedures immediately. He was very accommodating to my schedule and made sure we took care of the urgent procedures first. I'm a life long patient after what could have been a lengthy but awful experience. I've even developed some healthy, lasting habits to care for my precious teeth. Thanks Dr. Truong! read more

Wife went to this dentist. He walked in pulled a tooth that he saw was infected badly and walked out. No pain medication! No antibiotic scrip! Nothing! She didn't know about the infection till she looked at the paperwork! She won't be going back! I suggest you don't go in! read more

I received a "Treatment Plan" showing the dentist's charges, the amount that my dental insurance should pay and the amount I would have to pay out of pocket. I paid the full amount of my out of pocket expenses at the time of service. About a month after I agreed to the treatment plan and everything was completed I received a bill from the dentist for over $300.00 more. When reviewing the Statement of Benefits form my Dental Insurance Plan I saw that the dentist's charges submitted to my dental insurance company were actually over $840.00 more than the dentist's charges shown on my "Treatment Plan". The $800.00 in additional charges caused me to go over my dental insurance annual maximum benefit and I suddenly had over $300.00 more in out of pocket expense. read more
