I have mixed feelings about Cedar Creek. Overall, I would recommend paying them a visit to see how you feel about your own experience. I do appreciate that when I expressed my preferences on the types of cleaning tools to be used, i.e. not the ones that vibrate loudly in your skull, and they were open to accommodating manual tools. With that said however, they didn't clean my teeth much at all during my appointment. Truly just a brush and floss, and while I do enjoy the idea that my teeth are that clean, I'm sure there must have been some plaque to tackle. During my first appointment, I agreed to work with them on a teeth splint, which is similar to an Invisalign retainer, but formed more thick with the mission to relax your jaw muscles overall. This has been a lengthy process, but there is only my jaw to blame for that. I do wish the appointments were more concise because they often run over time, time that I have requested off of work and need to stick to. I think this will improve over time, since this is a new process on their end. But with that said, allot an extra 30 minutes for these appointments. Overall, I can't say for certain whether this has improved my headaches, but I am pleased with the consistent data results that conclude the muscles are indeed relaxing. With all of these positives, there are only a few negatives, but they are impactful to my experience so I will note them: When I first set an appointment for Cedar Creek Dental I noted on their website that they did not accept my insurance. I called to verify, and the first person I spoke to confirmed this was the case and estimated the appointment cost for me. When I arrived for my appointment however, Marianne said this was not the case and that the insurance would be accepted. As expected, once my insurance received the appointment they did not cover any of it. As I said, I expected this, but was disappointed about the misinformation given to me. My second critique is in regards to the unnecessary religious paraphernalia placed around their waiting room. Marianne took it upon herself, with Dr.Alexis' permission, to place little jesus figurines around the waiting room. Religion has no place in a medical facility. Symbolic figures don't mean the same to everyone, they can remind some people of previous harm, pain, and trauma. It is severely unprofessional to have these placed around a space that should be open and accepting to all. Especially considering the current political climate that uses these figures as an excuse to harm and exclude POC, women, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I brought this up to them but as expected, they took their own side, not even for a moment considering other feelings and opinions. That is always how it goes in these situations, of course, I sincerely was not expecting any consideration from them. In fact, Marianne said,"I've only received positive feedback about them", without considering that other people are too uncomfortable to bring it up, knowing they will be dismissed as per my example. Now you have received negative feedback, and you are choosing to ignore it. This nonaction reflects poorly on Cedar Creek Dental. Medical facilities have a responsibility to express consideration for everyone from every background. Otherwise, it proves that their work is affected by their biases, which is dangerous to people who disagree with them or minority groups ousted by their religion, in any capacity. That consideration should extend from the front desk, to the dental chair, which is not the case here, unfortunately. read more

It's been almost over 12 years since I went to the dentist. Long time I know. Finally getting my life back on track and taking care of myself like I should. So when I was looking for a dentist in the area I had no clue where to go since I just recently moved to this area. Searched on my dental insurance app and found this place and set everything up online. Skeptical because I'd never been there before and don't know anyone to ask about it. Went to my appointment and really didn't have to wait long at all to be seen which was nice. I liked the technology that they had and how they make sure that they have a record of where you started out at. It was a very comprehensive examination of my teeth and what will be needed to get them back on track after the years of neglect. They really seemed to care and to make sure that I knew everything that was going on. Everything was presented right in front of me on a screen and I could see everything happening. I was seen by 3 different people. The first lady was there the whole time and she took my medical history and all the xrays/pictures that was needed. Then another lady checked my gums to see if there was anything wrong along the gum line. Then finally I met the dentist. She looked at my teeth and noted any trouble spots to the first lady. She told me what was going on in my mouth and what would be needed to repair and clean everything. So for a first dental appointment in over 12 years this wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. There wasn't any actual cleaning of my teeth at this time. It was just a comprehensive check of where my teeth are right now and I've got another appointment set in 2 weeks to get started on my teeth. After moving to Winchester I spent a long time looking for a great dentist office to go to. After bad experiences in two other local dentist offices I found Cedar Creek Dental. To start, the decor is fabulous. I love the whole atmosphere of the office. They have complimentary beverages and comfortable seating. Doctor Farooq is an amazing dentist. He has a passion for dentistry and you can tell he cares about each and everyone of his patients. My temporary crown popped off on the Friday night before Fourth of July. He took the time to drive to the office on one of his days off to fix my tooth. I also never feel silly for asking questions or having concerns. I am very glad to have found this dentist office! read more

Well, after 3 years of going here myself, and now my wife and children, it's time to upgrade this to a 5 star rating. These folks are great! The dental hygienists are gentle but thorough. They give good pointers, but never lecture. Drs. Mierzwa and Farooq do excellent work, and communicate well. The facility is clean and welcoming. And of course, there's George. Watch out for Vicky, though. She'll give you a hard time. Not a problem though - just give it back! ;-) read more

Highly recommend this dental office. The staff, including Erica and Dr. Alexis, are so patient and kind. They are highly educated and provided me with sound, quality service. The office is beautiful and I feel very taken care of while I'm there. Extremely dissatisfied with the service received. I was mislead about types and out of pocket costs of services. Getting pre-authorization are painfully slow, and this office has failed to provide the necessary information to the insurance twice, greatly prolonging authorization. 2 out of 4 family members have had very poor service here. This is a dental practice worth checking out! Having moved to the VA area a few years ago I was at the mercy of my insurance company and the dentist I was seeing in Front Royal was fine, but when I changed jobs I also had to change dentists and this turned out to be a stroke of luck because I REALLY like this practice! Dr. Alexis and her staff are clear, reasonable, thorough, caring, have a sense of humor, and yes, the office motif is unusual and very attractive - Dr. Alexis is not only an accomplished dentist, but she's also and Equestrian! Clearly an animal lover, they are pet friendly with dogs hanging out in Dr. A's office. They are the size of a small horse. I had 3 crowns and 3 fillings done and I felt the procedures and advice were very reasonable and carefully explained beforehand. I honestly feel that my dental health is in very good hands! I called this office because of the other good reviews, only to be hung up on TWICE. The first time I asked to make an appointment -- BEEP. The second time I called, a woman was just talking in the background. I could have overheard sensitive information, better hope they weren't talking about you if you're seen here! The last time I called it went straight to voicemail. They either need to get a receptionist that isn't just out of high school, or they need serious training on what it is to be professionals in the business world. I am disgusted by this lack of professionalism and will be taking my needs elsewhere. I will be sure to tell all my friends that this business is not to be taken seriously. read more
