It's the same Goodwood location, the same general food program and the same familiar dishes, with many of them simply given different names. Changing the name of a dish doesn't make the dish new, and changing the sign doesn't create a new dining experience. The food: I ordered the Mac and Cheese Melt. It was overly heavy, and the mac and cheese itself lacked the seasoning and depth of flavor I expected. There wasn't much contrast in the dish, and the overall result felt more like throwing familiar ingredients together than a thoughtfully executed sandwich. It wasn't awful, but it certainly wasn't impressive or something I'd go out of my way to order again. The corporate side: This is a separate issue from the food. The biggest difference I notice is how disconnected the business now feels from the local community. Goodwood had more of a local identity and presence. This feels like a corporate company operating a restaurant in O'Fallon rather than a restaurant that is genuinely trying to become part of O'Fallon. I would like to see more visible involvement with local organizations, schools, events and the people who actually live here. I'm not against a new owner, a new name or a new concept. But if you're going to present something as a fresh start, customers should be able to actually see and taste the difference. Right now, I see a new name, renamed menu items and a more corporate feel. I expected more.

The place has fire code issues with one exit. Until they can address the safety issues with exits, bathroom and ADA issues this place has unfortunately no longer the fun place it once was.
