"Bear" on his first trip to Good News!
    Tim B.

We visited Sunday afternoon between Christmas and New Year's. 5 people 3 dogs. I love that we can bring them along! We had appetizers , beer and Pizza. All were excellent and hot on this cold and windy day. The team working did a great job of keeping the place cozy, and were very attentive to any need we had. It was a great experience over all! @goodnewsbrewing #EveryoneLovesGoodNews #buzzybooth

Great spot in the Augusta wine region if you're looking for some local craft beers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There's lots of outdoor seating on the patio and rooftop. They had a band playing which was lovely to listen to while we enjoyed our beers. There was a small food menu with a good selection of appetizers and pizzas. Highly recommend stopping here to enjoy some beers, great outdoor seating, and listen to live music.

Good News Brewing is a great place to enjoy the fall weather. Have a beer, listen to a live band, and enjoy one of their delicious wood-fired pizzas, salad, or garlic cheese bread. They do not consider themselves as a restaurant or bar but a brewery that serves great beer and sourdough, wood-fired pizzas. Good News Brewery was celebrating Octoberfest on a beautiful day with a live band (outdoors), and the brewery was packed downstairs, on the rooftop deck, and in the courtyard. The rooftop was our choice for seating, and we loved the birds eye view of everything going on. Good News Brewery is next door to Katy trail, and many people pop in for a coffee, latte, beer, beverage, or pizza after their bike ride or walk/run. They are a family - and dog friendly brewery. Picnic tables are in the courtyard area, rooftop seating, along with many tables downstairs in the main dining area. When we arrived, we weren't quite sure if they had table service, where to order, and if they delivered to the table. It was a perfect day, so they were crowded, but we worked our way around the long line. We did have to order at the counter, and you wait for your food. We only had to wait 25 minutes for ours. We just drank our beers and waited. They do not deliver to your table. When we left for the day, the wait time for a pizza was over an hour. I'm glad we arrived early. After finding a rooftop table, our guys went downstairs to order our drinks and food. We ordered 3 Octoberfest beers and 1 Hazelnut Coffee Stout beer. Good beers! We had two orders of the Garlic Cheese Bread and the wood fired Vampire Deathwish pizza. Oh my word, it was delicious. I understand why it's their number one seller. The four of us devoured the amazing pizza and garlic cheese bread. The dough was soft, covered with flavorful Vampire Deathwish sauce, and not overcooked. I do look forward to visiting again when we visit our family next. They host many events from weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, retirement parties, and conference events, or any reason to gather together. Keep it in mind for your next event.

Can't get much better for a November Sunday afternoon! Sunshine, 65 degrees, cold locally brewed craft beer, live music, friendly service, and best husband!

A great hangout and one of my families favorite places to stop after a day biking on the Katy Trail. During the summer it is the best spot due to the large open windows - the winter time they supply heaters and close it off. Great outdoor space for a big group! The rooftop is a great place to hang when warmer - umbrellas & a second bar is located up there on the crowded / warmer summer days. The food is solid - pizza, salad, pretzel options. My favorite pizza is the Buffalo chicken. The craft beer has rotating options with always something new to try. They also have ciders!! Usually more ales on tap - try the Perfect Storm Ale one of their classics! All very reasonably priced. Endless parking for bikes or cars right off the trail.

Such a fun stop for bikers and a good option to eat at Defiance! The pizzas were delicious and the drinks were awesome. They had pretty good selections of beer and ciders to choose from. Overall, I highly recommend checking out this place if you are ever in the area. It's a more casual place compared to the other restaurants/wineries in Defiance.

We were on our way to Augusta and wanted a drink and snack mid-afternoon. Spotted this place and it was the perfect spot! Husband loved his cream ale, I liked the vodka lemonade, and the cheese bread is worth driving back for!

Stopped to refresh during a nice bike ride. It was Sunday and a church service was just finishing up. Kinda interesting use of the venue. Hubby ordered the Belgium style beer. Said it was good. I had the Stage 2 apple cider. I was pleased it was not sticky sweet like most ciders but rather tasted like beer w hints of apple (think a slightly better Busch apple.) we were not crazy about beets being served in plastic cups but it was ok. Ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza. Crust was good. Came out fast. I say it was just ok for taste but hubby liked it a good amount so I bumped the score to 4 stars. Nice open air concept and lots of parking for bikes. Worth a stop.

Literally my go-to place in the broader St. Louis area! The outdoor area is the best! They often have live music. The beer and the pizza is all good! It's also directly on the Katy trail, so it's a great place to stop for a drink while out for a run, bike, etc... the buffalo chicken pizza is my favorite! Only cons I can think of... parking can be tricky and they often close early for events on the weekend, so be sure to call ahead!

It would be nice if they had a lighter beer choice all the time. Their pils was good, but it's not on the menu all the time.

It was our first time in - we bellied up to the bar, where there were drink menus and a food menus for the browsing. We were advised to order at "the window" for food (clever) & did so. (Reviewed separately) The barkeep walked us through some of his favorites. I opted for the orange cream (sour spin) & found it to be absolutely delicious. We did not want to argue with this man any further, as his attitude and lack of knowledge was already frustrating enough. The Manager on duty turned on the lights in the room, and then had the audacity to leave the room, while my boyfriend was left taking chairs off the table so we would have a place to sit. We stayed for about 45-minutes, ordered food and had a beer. Prior to us leaving my boyfriend's mom (who frequents this place and even helped them stay open during COVID with purchases and donations) went to have a conversation with the Manager to help clear things up and educate him a bit... he responded to her with, "There are no exceptions, a dog is a dog." To the owners of Third Wheel Brewing: I am truly saddened and disappointed in the lack of empathy, education, and understanding of individuals who need accommodations, and use service animals. I would HIGHLY recommend you provide additional education and training to your staff about ADA regulations, and the treatment of patrons in relation to such. While at times, certain accommodations are acceptable, this one was isolating and intentionally exclusionary. Please do better.

I came with my parents and husband and we all agreed it was a great idea and a very comfortable space, perfect for what was needed. I was surprised at how relatively ample the parking was here despite its proximity to the city. We found a spot with no problems. There were discreet signs that directed us up the stairs to where the event was held. It was spacious, airy, and cool, with a decent number of tables and a very nice large bar, as well as restrooms for both men and women. Our family members who spoke were able to stand on a small stage and share their thoughts. The food was served buffet style in front of the stage. Although you'd think it might be hard to hear given the acoustics, they worked out a way to make it so their speeches could be heard easily. Even visiting with other folks after they spoke, it never became too loud to hear each other. There are also nice TVs which displayed photos of the family. Although we used the space for a celebration of life, I can imagine it would be a good fit for all sorts of events, from corporate parties to just a chill hang out space when it's open to the public. It did get a little bit hot in the space as the event wore on, but it wasn't intolerable. The food and drinks were also quite tasty, especially for catered/buffet style food. There were pretzel bites and cheese dip and three different types of slider burgers: a standard/original burger, a taco burger, and an Impossible burger. The pretzel bites were crispy and buttery. I had a taco burger slider. It was a tiny bit dry but had a great flavor. The bartenders were great -- friendly, answering questions, working efficiently, and very kind to all the guests. Husband enjoyed the beers he tried and my mom and I both ordered the "Cranberry Crush," which was a yummy (and strong!) cocktail that was bright and perfectly sweet. They also serve mocktails, which I love! Glad to include folks who are sober. Thanks, 4 Hands, for creating a welcoming and comfortable space for us!
