Last week, I bit down on something and cracked about a quarter of one of my lower molars. Luckily, no nerve endings were exposed, so there wasn't any pain or discomfort. The next day, they worked me in to evaluate the extent of the damage and let me know my options. I expected they would X-ray the tooth and then schedule me for a second appointment to repair the damage. Instead, they said they could rebuild the tooth right then, using resin to fill in the gap. They also replaced my old 1970s-era amalgam filling, also covering the tooth with more resin. Even with the shot of Novocaine and having to wait 15 or 20 minute for it to take effect, the entire procedure took less than an hour. Dr. David Seegmiller and his staff do a great job.

After determining I needed a crown or complete removal of the tooth, the Dr. gave me my options. One option was to prep for a crown that day and do the crown the following morning. The Dr. then asked me if I just wanted to get it done that night so that I would not have to go home in pain and have to be numbed twice. It was after 5 pm at this point. I said let's do it. The Dr. and his entire team stayed until 7 pm to get my tooth fixed. I was able to go home that night and eat a sandwich. Just amazing service. You do not see this anymore. I can't say enough good things about this team. Thank you

Dr. Bluth decided I needed a root canal on tooth # 4 instead. $3,500+ later, the original tooth (tooth#2, the one that actually needed treatment), is causing massive issues. He did a root canal in the wrong, healthy tooth. This is backed by my referrals from my dentist. I'm in so much pain that I have almost gone to the ED on several occasions. (My dentist was kind enough to talk to me on his weekend and call in an antibiotic). Rocky Mountain isn't admitting fault (of course). The ladies running the show are extremely unprofessional and rude. Ella hung up on me. How's that for someone running your business? She said "I'm not welcome at any of their clinics". They cancelled an emergency appointment while I'm in so much pain. EDIT* the tooth that needed a root canal is now infected. I am on narcotics and an antibiotic. Steer clear and go ANYWHERE but here. I will be reporting Dr.Bluth to the Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Board, and the American Association of Endodontics.

If I want they can fix it but it costs $2950 but to remove it costs $380 they gave me a 3 point calculation. 1 extraction, erupted tooth requiring removal of bone and/or sectioning of tooth, and including elevation of mucoperiosteal flap if indicated. = $380 2 bone replacement graft for ridge preservation - per site. $547 3. guided tissue regeneration, edentulous area - resorbable barrier, per site = $270. After that I was in a lot of pain for another week. And I chose only number 1 to remove it. meaning to pay only $380. I don't need the 2 points. Because it costs me a lot. I was in pain for another week, I called them to come and have it removed and they told me to go to another clinic, they didn't want to remove it. They said I had an infection, what they were doing was not right. They manipulate people's minds to get money out of people. But if the person has nowhere to pay and decides on the cheapest option, they don't do anything.

The first surgery resulted in a sinus perforation and the attempted repair was unsuccessful. This error has required three surgeries in the past year with a new practice. A request for a mild sedative before the last procedure at this office was disregarded and never prescribed. I called and I was told it was unnecessary and they would give me a mild sedative when I arrived. The nurse was rude and dismissive and the last surgery was an awful experience because I was fully aware of everything. A broken tooth was extracted to prep for an implant but it exposed a wisdom tooth that had to be removed by my new surgeon. The entire experience was not only disappointing but also traumatizing. I wish they had told me that they were not comfortable working with a nervous patient. It would have saved me the trauma.

I called them expecting the usual "we can see you in three weeks" situation, but they got me in for a consult first thing the next morning... and then somehow managed to pull the teeth the same day. Immediate relief. Actual heroes. The doctor was amazing. She was super kind, confident, and made the whole thing feel way less scary, and that's HUGE coming from a person with severe dental anxiety. I also have never had an IV placed better in my life. The medical assistant was wonderful as well. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and was such a lovely girl to talk to leading up to the procedure. The front desk staff were so friendly as well, they almost made me forget I was there to have teeth ripped out of my face. Also, I have to specifically mention the sedation because it deserves its own review. Whatever magic they used had me out here living my best life in a full-blown Star Wars dream for about an hour. I went in stressed and in pain and somehow woke up feeling like I had just taken the most elite nap in the galaxy while the professionals handled my problem teeth. Dr Malan's understanding of my dental tolerance was respectable and kind, but he assured me the process would be very safe and pain free. He was perhaps the most laid back and calm dentist I have ever met. But exuded confidence and skill without a hint of arrogance. He could have easily been a friend, and I was fully comfortable with his experience and plan. On the day of the procedure, his excellent staff and dental techs took great care to make me comfortable and the prep work was quick and efficient, and smooth. I waited perhaps 3 minutes and Dr Malan stepped in to start my IV. I never knew it was in... he was that smooth! After this, he asked me a few questions and the next thing I knew I was done. I was relaxed, very comfortable and absolutely pain free since. It was my most amazing dental experience. Honestly, I actually enjoyed the staff, Dr Malan, and the process. I wish all dental experiences could be this good for everyone. I know there are some difficult cases and not everyone has the same outcomes, but mine was exemplary. Please, give him a try and you will be very lucky you did!
