If anything breaks in your child's mouth, you will wait weeks to get it fixed, even if it hurts. The staff don't seem to monitor progress and Dr Payne rarely supervises or checks on my child's mouth during appointments. Someone should have caught the undesirable charges happening in my child's mouth if they had been looking. Appointments were under-scheduled and my child was in braces twice as long as we were quoted. No one ever bothered to communicate with me and the one time I requested a face-to-face meeting the Dr didn't show up. He went to volunteer at church instead. All of that would be fine if his work was top notch, but my kid's smile is worse now than when we started. This is what happens when someone tells you your child needs braces for the $$. I have More children and we will not be going to Dr. Payne.

There always seems to be someone new and my dentist changed almost everytime I came in. It wasn't until recently that I started getting a little fed up. I had an appointment to get some pretty decent amount of work done on my teeth and the office mysteriously was temporarily closed with no explanation and no notification. Same thing happened to my husband. We were able to get ahold of someone to find out where we were supposed to go and the guy wasn't very helpful and told us he didn't know yet. I just decided to cancel my appointment and will be finding another dentist.

Over a year ago, our family dentist (Eagle Smiles) recommended we seek an ortho consult for our son (9 at the time). Dr Fowler practices within their office, however he also has his own private practice. We did have our initial consult at Eagle Smiles, but when Dr Fowler said we should schedule a follow up I had already determined I would like to do so at their private practice. Primarily because I felt it would allow us a more personal experience with him and his staff, but also because I assumed it would be much easier to schedule appointments in the future. I have to say both assumptions were spot on! Scheduling an appointment was far easier and quicker to get in. And Dr Fowler and all of his staff are just fabulous to work with. Getting braces when you are 10 can be kind of scary and overwhelming. They do such a great job of explaining everything and allowing my son to be involved. Everyone is very friendly and personable. It's very obvious Dr Fowler and his team care about their patients. My husband also commented that he felt really comfortable with how things were explained at our initial meeting. For him it's not about how much something costs it is about explaining why it is a good investment and how you plan to accomplish the goal. We are just about 1 month in in our estimated 2 year journey, so we've still got a ways to go. But I think we are feeling really good about where we are going!

I wore the braces for almost two years and now my teeth are perfect. I had a little bit of hesitancy about the whole thing because of my age, (I was 65 when I got the braces. It was hands down the worst dental experience I've had. I told her I require more numbing juice than most and she wouldn't give me any more after I was saying I was in pain. I alerted the assistant that I was in pain and the dentist kept going. The temporary crown fell off two days after it was put on and the permanent doesn't fit my night guard that I wear. Ever since this procedure that side of my mouth has been painful to chew on. Makes me wonder if I actually needed the procedure or if they needed the money, it wasnt cheap. I have not been to the dentist since and I am normally a habitual visitor for cleanings. I will be going somewhere else.

I've had one visit and the people were very friendly. The front desk and getting checked in was a very good experience and she was quite lovely. I felt I got good care although I felt I did need to advocate for myself on a few minor things. I didn't want them polishing my teeth before the hygienist had completed her scaling. It is not a good practice to polish teeth before all the plaque has been removed. They have quite a few staff members that do different things. They have two hygienist and then they have assistance that do the polishing. You can request having one person do the scaling and the polishing, but they can only accommodate that on certain days due to the lack of staffing?? So for my next visit, I will have one person do it all. They were quite accommodating. I think I'm scheduled with a different dentist for my next visit. I think I will see her and see how I like her. She is newer in her career, but I feel I might like to give her a shot. The jury is still out for me. I'll update in 6 months.
