FINALLY spoke to Aileen who was having computer problems, system outage. This has been after calling so many times, with the company closed, extended holds, and the company closed for employee appreciation day/staff meeting.... Ridiculous. Aileen did not want to transfer me to someone in charge.... another ding for customer service representation. Policy was cancelled.... I'm hoping to get my money back or now the company will be fraudulently representing itself. Many complaints about American Amicable... their BBB rating needs to change to poor.

If i cant afford something they're understanding and can show me several options. I've enjoyed the agents patience and empathy when discussing my options while also coming to my home. I mean who really wants to sit in an Insurance Office when you can be home, and they come to you! I will admit i can understand for some people is may be an annoyance that they call/check-in frequently. But in a reality i'd rather have my life insurance company checking in on me and my policy then never hearing from the, again after receiving my policy. The child safety kits are awesome to since it helps protect your little ones! A free accidental 2,000 each time you re-visit with them, along with a few other perks. Not to mention the claims are paid out immediately which is what makes this company shine among others. I see all the poor reviews and it really makes me question some peoples integrity, people are just trying to do their job and ive had a bad experience with several people in several situations- sometimes its just bad luck, not all the agents are terrible.

I said to them, how can they stay working at this day in age by "only sending it through the mail cuz this is the way its always been done" in the year 2025. My fathers body has been in the morgue for a week pending what it says on the policy. Very disappointed with this company right now. I should've asked them to expediting is an option.

They said I was paying behind. No insurance company has you pay behind. Have always had to have a payment to start. Have always had it auto withdrawn due to brain injury.
