Before we pulled in to the parking lot of nearby Home Depot, we noticed that they had christmas trees, since we saw through the window. After going to Home Depot, we decided to check out the Christmas trees here. Easy parking, as this share a lot with Total Wine next door, and easy to find wagons if one needs, but we didn't get one this trip. Their christmas trees were located in the front, and they had a few nice ones that were reasonably priced, as well as on sale too. We were just looking and couldn't find one that we liked, plus we were also price checking too. Hope to be back another time!

I ended up getting stuck due to work travel and was not able to make it to the store to pick up my item in time. Usually this is not a problem as the order will be cancelled and funds are returned. However, this time, that was not the case! While the attempt for the refund was made the debit card used to make the purchase expired on 12/31 so he funds were rejected. I called the store and explained this, the gentleman on the phone just stated he knows nothing about "this" and gave me the following ph# 800-642-4235 which according to him was a Michael's Customer Care line. So sure, not a problem, I will call them. I waited on hold for over an hour, when I did get to a rep she flat out told me that the issue was my fault for having a bad debit card and I needed to take it up with my bank. I explained to her that I have the same card the only thing different is that it has a new expiration date, I asked if she can run the refund through using the new date. She said that it's my issue with my bank to call them. I didn't get the feeling that the rep fully understood my issue, I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor who called herself Naomi stated that the order was cancelled on their end and the money owed to me ended up "some where". I asked her, if I didn't receive it then where is "some where". She did not have an answer, however, she did say that she needed to connect with her "finance" team for an approval and that they could even provide me with a reference # (not sure what a reference # is). She PROMISED me a call back that day, told me to keep my phone line open and that if she didn't connect with me that day it would definitely be within 24-48 hours. It has been 2 weeks and NOTHING and NO refund. I have attempted to call back but after waiting over 30 mins each time I hang up. I am owed $53.10 from Michael's......and while $53.10 is not going to make or break me, it's still my $$. Either give me my product or help me get my $$ back.

Not familiar with Grand Strand contractors we looked to the typical customer review sources. Facing a major refacing of a beachfront property, we selected a few contractors with reviews that seemed fair...on the surface. In some cases, we were sadly mistaken. You WILL NOT be misled by this review. We WERE NOT mistaken about Tom Bridgeman and Brighton Construction. Tom had been working with us for a few months in the later part of 2020 to design a new-home to build, waiting for the right lot to become available. When timing did not work and we opted for a resale instead, Tom did not turn his back on us. To the contrary he kept in touch despite a major personal challenge within his family life and offered assistance if we ever needed any. I had no idea how valuable that offer would become. Literally 1 week before installation of a MAJOR portion of the house (kitchen cabinets, countertop, backsplash, electrical, plumbing) and the prior kitchen completely removed and ready for the new one, the contractor with 'great reviews' CANCELLED OUR CONTRACT, then levied cancellation fees on US! Unwilling to even discuss the impact of a regulatory directive outside our control for days prior to cancelling us, they left us in the lurch without a kitchen...literally! A single call to Tom started the recovery process! He took over where the other contractors left us hanging, and addition to the work he was already doing for us made connections with a countertop supplier, backsplash installer and orchestrated the installation of cabinetry all while coordinating permits with regulatory agencies. He also was successful in getting other contractors to respond to finish their work when they were becoming challenging to reach. What does Tom NOT DO: cancel contracts- EVER; neglect to show up for an appointment - EVER; neglect to call if running late - EVER; make you chase him to see if he would be finishing up a task - EVER; bait and switch ANYTHING; EVER leave you wondering if he is good for HIS word when others were not. What DOES Tom DO: Show up on time and as promised; call to communicate if he will be delayed; communicate clearly and accurately on what needs to be done and how to make it happen; negotiate fair and honest pricing that still allows all to remain in business profitably; offer suggestions to prevent issues that would delay permit approvals; finish the work he starts ON SCHEDULE; make anything he touches go smoothly! We have a resale this time, but the next time Tom will be our first and ONLY call to EVER have ANYTHING done ever again. Repairs on this house - Brighton Construction! We moved into our home a year ago and are generally very happy with the house itself. Where Beverly…read morefalls short is in the promises made, promises kept category and especially in their choice of property management company. There were promises of fountains in the ponds that were only partially kept. The second phase on Lifestyle Ct. has no fountains, and no indication that there ever will be. The landscaping of the public areas has gone downhill in the year we've been here. The landscapers have indicated that they have been told to only mow halfway around the ponds. The management company that oversees the development until it is released to an HOA (KS Property Management) is at best non responsive to homeowners concerns. KS has doubled their fee for Architectural Reviews ($50) and is glacially slow in responding. They refuse to answer their phones, and never respond to messages left. All in all, we love the house, the neighbors are fantastic, but we're over promised about the amenities. And with the neighborhood about 85% complete, it doesn't appear that Beverly is interested in fulfilling those promises. KS Management, to put it politely has been useless.

We bought in Peru Plantation in Georgetown. Promised a pool amenity and stayed paying monthly for…read morethe HOA. Pool took 3 years to complete. On April 1, 2026 it opened. It has been closed on April 15th for over a week because of a problem they aren't fixing. Buyer beware. May unhappy residents.
