I was offered the "double warranty" (which in my mind translated to "pay more for something I'm unlikely to use"). The second individual took the blower to the back to "test it". He placed fuel in the tank, tried it, came out and sent me on my way. Within one hour of use (which included emptying the fuel tank) the blower stopped working. When I took it in, I was informed that offering me the double warranty was their speak for the use of a fuel additive. The blower is fried and the cost of a repair exceeds the $545 I paid for it. I'm out $545 and they are out a customer.

In fact in my opinion, painting is one of the more difficult home improvements tasks. Here is a good tip, use Sherwin-Williams paint! I love to do research. Restaurants, resorts, repair facilities, products, you name it. I figure if we are spending our hard earned money on something, we hopefully are investing in the right product. Well somehow I missed Sherwin-Williams paint or just previously made the wrong decision. We have painted our basement with one paint, then a bathroom with another paint and yet our bedroom with a third paint. None of the previous paints were all that impressive. One of my only pet peeves is having to do something over again, unless its visiting a restaurant again! With our previous painting, we have had to apply a second coat. That was until we remodeled our kitchen and our contractor recommended Sherwin-Williams paint. We have found out that it is more expensive that other paints that we have used however this is one case that you definitely get what you pay for! Sherwin-Williams paint goes on much more smoothly than other paints we have used, covers in one coat and it sets properly. It's been 3 years since we painted our bathroom and when we wipe the walls, some paint still comes off. We have wiped the walls in our kitchen several times and the Sherwin-Williams paint continues to prove its durability. Recently we had our siding done and went back to pick up some paint for any touch up that we may need to do. Ellen was kind enough to help us. She found the color we needed and made our paint while we waited. She even looked up a $10.00 coupon for us to save us some money. Who doesn't like to save money! Sherwin-Williams has paint, paint supplies, stain and even sealants for wood and concrete. It's safe to say that we will be returning to Sherwin-Williams again to help with our next home improvement project.
