Meijer Unicorn Vanilla Iced Doughnut: Although there are plenty of specialty doughnuts that I enjoy…read moremore, one of my favorite types of "basic" doughnuts is vanilla iced yeast/raised doughnuts. For a grocery store bakery, I've been impressed with the doughnuts at my local Meijer (although the selection is sadly wildly inconsistent). Walking past the bakery, I did a double take when I spotted these unicorn doughnuts. They looked incongruous in a grocery store and more like something I'd find at a gourmet doughnut shop or artisan bakery. Being a dude, I'm not really into unicorns, but these doughnuts looked too spectacular to pass up. At the risk of being called a girlie man by Arnold, I surreptitiously nabbed one from the display. Not only were the doughnuts coated in sweet vanilla icing, but there was also a thick and colorful buttercream mane. I found the dough to have a nice thick and chewy texture while also being light and pillowy. The flavor was a combination of butter in the body of the dough, along with vanilla from the icing. Unlike some chains (Dunkin), the layer of icing was thick and satisfying and that's before factoring in the extra frosting. These mythical doughnuts are Doughboy approved , but can we get something manlier next time? Doughboy_Food_Reviews

It has also been my choice for international departures when possible, specifically Hong Kong. The size of the airport is easy to navigate and less than an hour flight from my smaller local airport, which usually makes it an affordable option in comparison to Atlanta and New York. During my most recent trips, the airport terminals visited were usually Terminal 1 and 2. All of the elevators, escalators, and moving sidewalks were fully functional. I wish there were more food options during the longer layovers, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

This airport is big. Big and overwhelming. But my wife enjoyed it. She found it exciting. I found…read moreit still stuck in the 90s, à la "Home Alone." But I digress. The good thing about O'Hare is that it is a major hub for flights, both domestic and international, since it sits in the middle of the country. Of course, getting to downtown Chicago or coming from there can be a challenge, depending on when you're traveling. The Chicago Thruway traffic can be a fright, where you will be on the road for anywhere from 50 minutes to 90 minutes. Coming from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, direct flights to Chicago are plentiful, so getting there is a breeze unless there's a blizzard or some other disastrous weather pattern that may lead to permanent doom. Fortunately, that wasn't the case on our flight earlier this month. Now, reaching the baggage claim can be a bit of a walk, and even more so if you don't know where to find the area to pick up your ride share. That can be incredibly confusing, since it's on the Departures level, not the Arrivals level. The food vendors are not that great if you are gluten-free, like my wife is. For me, I found a spot with Chicago dogs and deep dish, which I enjoyed one more time before boarding our flight back to Fort Lauderdale. For as large and important as O'Hare is as a hub, the terminals and gate seating areas are at least 20 years out of date. But it still works as a major airport, with flights going in and out at all hours of the day.

Jim, the sales guy, was great .. explained everything and gave a fair price ... Saturn took care of the Village permitting. The Installation Team was FANTASTIC !!! They knew what they were doing and worked hard and were really, really nice guys. They cleaned up after themselves and were just beyond great. Beth, Laurie and Steve in the office were great as well ! They kept us informed as we went thru the process and always promptly answered any questions that we had. Within a week of the installation, the weather 'cooperated' and we were able to take the Generac out for a test drive ... The power went out due to storms and Generac kicked on within seconds and the shut off was seamless. We had storms the next night, but didn't feel anxious at all about the power going out. We have a wonderful sense of security and worth every dime. It truly was a great experience with everyone at Saturn. Thank you Everyone !!!

Mixed feelings on this company. We had them come out and do a PM on our generator last year and…read morethey came out on time, performed the maintenance satisfactorily and didn't try to sell additional, unnecessary parts/services. Cool! Recently, we had a breaker go bad on our panel which was not allowing power to get to one of our bedrooms. Scheduling the service was quick and easy, tech arrived on time. I explained what was going on, what we did to troubleshoot and what I thought the problem might be (bad breaker). Tech proceeded to mess around with wires, asking about attic access (our panel is in our basement), and basically tinkering around for 3 hours before changing out the breaker to the bedroom, which fixed it. Why didn't he just do that first? Oh that's right, because they charge $100/hr for labor so the $20 breaker cost us a total of $331. Kicker is: he complained about how the panel was labeled yet, their company was the one who installed it originally and was the only reason we called them. (Note: panel is actually labeled really well but he couldn't grasp why the affected bedroom which overlooks our backyard wasn't labeled "front bedroom") Bottom line: they did the work and fixed the problem, but totally milked charging us for labor. I felt he took advantage of the fact that I was busy watching my toddler to charge for extra "labor".
