This is one of my fav supercharger stops along the 5 freeway when traveling to and from Northern California. They have 150k and 250k chargers. I have always pulled right in with no waiting. I like the indoor restrooms and rest area in the lounge. There are chairs, tables to eat on, couches, outdoor tables and a pet relief grass area. Nearby is fast food like In N Out wnd more. Starbucks is directly across the street for convenient personal recharge while charging your ride. Be sure to check your app or navigation for the access code inside. read more

If you're planning a trip and traveling along Interstate 5, I highly recommend adding the Tesla Supercharger station in Kettlemen City to your route (even if your Tesla navigation skips it because of your estimated charge level). The first reason is obviously because of the AC-controlled lounge with restrooms, vending machines (I counted 5), a coffee machine, and plenty of seating areas with free WiFi. What's a better way to relax, stretch, have a quick snack, and enjoy the perks of being a Tesla owner in a lounge while you're charging? The lounge does require an access code, which can easily be found inside the Tesla app by selecting the Kettleman City charging station under Location (Charging). The four-digit access code will be displayed. The charging station also has over 40 charging stalls labeled 150 kW and 250 kW. The charging station is right off of I-5, allowing you to quickly charge and get back on the road. There are also plenty of restaurants and stores nearby as well. This place is like 10 stars for the location. The updated lounge is really amazing looking and had really fun vending machines. The bathrooms are super clean and the best halfway point between LA and SF. I bought In N Out from down the street and brought it into the lounge to eat and relax while charging my car. If I am making a long trip from NorCal to Socal and vice versa, this is my ideal place to stop to supercharge. I like the lounge that is available here. There's definitely plenty of superchargers at this location. The lounge has a keycode but this code is listed in the app. There are clean bathrooms, vending machines and seating area to rest and enjoy your break. We walked across the street to get fast food and walked back here to eat it. It wasn't too bad. It is a nice pit stop with the kids as well. There's also water stations here so if you need to refill your water bottle with filtered water, this is the place to be. There's vending machines for drinks as well if you need to grab coffee. I also believe one of the water machine can dispense hot water if you need hot water for something. Overall, this stop has a lot of positives for me. read more

One of the best Tesla superchargers because you get access to the lounge that comes with it. It's clean, gets serviced regularly, and has great comfortable seating for you to take a break on your road trip while charging. The code to enter is available on your Tesla app. They have a bottle filling station which is great as well. The chargers here go up to 250kW so while you are taking a break you can get enough mileage to continue your trip. Every single time we do a SoCal trip we would stop at this lounge. I came here about two weeks ago as a friend needed to charge her car and she has never been to this location. She thank me for suggesting this location as there is a rest area where you can buy coffee and chairs to rest. Best of all there is bathroom and water refill. This was definitely the fanciest Tesla Supercharging station I have ever been to, and I think it's what they were originally going for. This place has I think two or three different voltage charging rates for the Tesla cars. It also has an indoor space (must use your app to unlock the doors) with restrooms, vending machines, and a few tables and free wifi to recharge you as much as your car. All charging spots seemed to be in good service and did not require repair, unlike other Supercharger locations. On the "could be improved" side: 1. I didn't see any windshield wiping supplies, as someone else had mentioned. 2. There's also not too much within walking distance other than a Starbucks. There's a bigger center across a busy street/cross section (i.e., the main road right off the freeway). 3. While I appreciate the frequent cleaning, the smell of disinfectant was so overpowering that it was hard to eat in the main lounge area. This is something that would have upset my dad, who is sensitive to smell. My mom had to step out of the lounge. read more

We're normally across the street at Bravo Farms, but we decided to check out this station since we didn't need food. First of all - there are a ton of chargers available both 250kW and 150kW. I just read up on the difference and car compatibility - worth looking into if you're a new Tesla owner. The lounge is very close to the charging stalls (as opposed to Bravo Farms, where you need to walk a little). The lounge is large, with clean restrooms, and free WiFi. This Tesla Supercharger station is located in Kettleman City and has a nice lounge area that is free to use. I stopped by here as a mid way point on my drive at interstate 5. This is a nice location because there are many chargers, a lounge space for resting, and restrooms. The lounge code can be found via the app or when the Tesla is routed to that location. Best part is that it's near restaurants, some walking distance and some that would require a 1-2 minute drive. This was my third time at this Tesla supercharger location and it looks different than it did before. It looks newer, there are no workers inside, and the prepackaged foods and drinks require payment. Therefore, I didn't get to interact with staff there. Overall, with the convenience of getting to charge an EV and having a space to rest, this place continues to be my go-to rest stop when driving on the i5. read more

This is my #1 choice for Tesla Supercharger when traveling through Central California. - Big location - Not lonely, people are here - No shady people or cars when I visited - Starbucks is next door - Free windshield squeegee/wiper... Although the wiper was uneven and makes cleaning a bit of a pain. - Free tire air pump It's nice that there's Tesla Lounge, secured by access code which you can find on your Tesla app. However, I don't think the lounge is all that nice or great. It reminds me of a government office, bank branch, and the floor lounge in my college freshman dorm about 20 years ago. But at least it's climate controlled and has seats. I deplore public restrooms and will only use in extreme emergency. I checked out the lounge men's restroom just to see... While not atrocious, it' smelled strongly of urine, and there was spots of waste on the urinals and toilets. Thankfully, someone opened the door on my way out, so I didn't have to touch the door handle. Note that there are outdoor restrooms too. You use the same lounge code you'll find in your Tesla app. These restrooms were noticeable better than the lounge restrooms. So if you're in an emergency situation but still can hold for just for another two minutes... Know that you got choices in case your first choice restroom is out of control. read more

Beware of the vending machines! This location is still one of my favorites because of its fast chargers, windshield cleaning supplies, hot/cold water dispensers, and indoor/outdoor places to sit. When vending machines replaced the coffee stand, it was disappointing but at least the machines were convenient and easy to use and pay for via digital wallet. BUT, the new vending machines from 365 Retail Markets are a scam. We were overcharged by over twice the posted price on each of our different transactions, the receipt promised was never sent, and the requested response to a survey was unanswered. Enjoy the lounge, but skip the machines unless you want to be ripped off with no receipt and no recourse. read more

This is a huge facility with over 20 charging stations! In the summer, this place is an oasis for Tesla charger users. Besides the solar panels covered charging stations, the users may access the lounge nearby. Inside the lounge, you may test, relax, use restrooms, and hang out while charging your cars. One note, though, non EV cars parked there may be towed away by owner's expense. The lounge has service personnel for cleaning & monitoring. Additionally, there are restrooms detached from lounge, but a word of caution, though, no climate control there. It will be either extremely cold in winter & extremely hot in summer! One tiny nuisance that I found was the fact that 1st time user may hard time finding the access code (in the Tesla app) to the lounge! Error message would appear instead of access codes when one press the location followed by selecting the appropriate lounge! The workaround is to scroll down and select the appropriate named lounge. It's cool and comfy but not user friendly. There are no prices on the vending machines. One machine has a digital option to look up prices but the coffee hot chocolate machine did not. They also have a staffed espresso bar. There are several restaurants nearby if you want something more substantial than the vending machines They have free WiFi. This is an impressive Tesla charger. I went to this charger once. First time was a little bit later at night and the merchandise store is closed. We came back earlier during the day and they was a staff selling some merchandise from caps to the shirts. The bathroom was clean. The place was also pretty good. We stopped by this charging station twice. On the outside it looks great, and there are plenty of chargers. There is a water station, you can get cold and hot water. The inside smells like cleaning supplies. The bathroom is stuffy. And the vending machines do not work. There are 2 walls of vending machines and none of them worked. Insane supercharger location. Clean, yes. Snacks, cold drinks and coffee, yes. Even a lounge, now that's new! Restrooms...yes with a caveat! You need a lounge code! So they have a separate outhouse just restrooms. There's also restrooms in the lounge house. If you really need to go to the bathroom you better get that code before you even stop and get out of the car cause you can't get into either without the code! Would be nice as a pop up as soon as you roll in or plug the charger. I wasn't the only one doing the pee pee dance having to go grab my phone and figure out how to get the code. Which is 0822! You're welcome!!! There are 40 stalls at this location. There are also employees inside the lounge! Not sure how long they hang around for. If it's boiling out, it's nice and cool inside the with seating and Wi-Fi. (See pics for code). The restrooms are clean. Paper towels in there would be nice too. The lounge pit stop is nice. Pretty nice oasis along the Highway 5 stretch between SF and LA. The seating area is nice. But it will be hit or miss as Tesla drivers like all vehicles have owners with loud children who cannot shut up. That's life though and not Tesla's fault. The coffee is not complimentary. For some reason, I thought it was. But the area is relatively clean and there is a restroom and it is cool inside. You need a pass code to enter the lounge area and it is provided on your Tesla App. If you have a water bottle, there is complimentary water. The charging station is a bit slower it seemed. But the lounge area is so comfy that I don't mind. Total cost of charge from 50% to 90% wasn't too bad. Maybe $7-8? Gas stations here by contrast charge between $6.25-$7/gallon. So glad that I will never need to go a gas station ever again. read more
