Just a quick fuel stop driving to SF. We were hungry and wanted something healthier than fast food. So, popped right over. It's pretty simple inside but the smells were very encouraging. Just ordered a simple three carne asada tacos. It's def rely fresh beef as they prepared each one. The tacos are small but the taste was great!

A 24 hr taco spot in the middle of highway 5. The place is very spacious. You order at the counter and sit where you like. Staff is very friendly. The birria order comes in a set of 3 tacos and consommé. Very tasty and the side of rice and beans tastes better when you drizzle the consommé over it. Def will stop by on the way down highway 5.

We stopped here on the way home from SF. Food was good, interior was okay. Everyone was friendly. We had the California Burrito, Torta & Tacos. Everything was good for a quick stop off the 5.

Good stop for a quick meal. We got the pollo, lengua, carnitas, and chorizo tacos. The lengua (tongue) and carnitas tacos were good because the meat was tender. The others were okay. They all could have been better if the meat were seasoned a little more. We also got the rice and beans which were your good basic sides. The food came out fast. Not very busy for their lunch time. Very roomy casual atmosphere.

Ehhhhh. We went here because the kids needed to stop and there were so many good reviews. Honestly I don't get it. Now was the food bad no? The service was nice enough. But everything was just ok. The place is pretty run down. It doesn't feel super clean either. My husband and I were thinking maybe that would translate to some awesome food? But sadly no. The food was fine enough but it lacked flavor. We got tacos, chicken nachos, and cheese nachos which they made special for my child. Nothing really wowed us though.

Stopped by here for a late lunch. Prices gone up a little bit since the last time I came. But food is still great and I tried something new this time - Quesabirrias and it was delicious!

Open 24/7 which is cool but was run down and smelled bad. Food was pretty bland i was kinda scared eating it bc it looked old. It was ok though not terrible but not good. Convenient though

Chalios looks the part but it's lacks seasoning on their meats. The rice is ok Shelly vibrant color. The beans is boss though. Who ever makes those beans put that seasoning that time and effort into them and if they come out the can that's a damn shame. That they have move seasoning then the meat. Def when you open the birria tacos and you see how pretty they just sit there you'd think they hitting like they look like they would, but the cheese cilantro and onion is what you taste more so than the lackluster meat. The consommé was very greasy and yes I mean more than you'd expect. The flavor again was lacking yes you taste the peppers used to make it. Slightly but that's all.

Stop by on a friday afternoon. The pro of this place is a min walking from an electrify America charging station so we decided to give it a try, while our ev charges. It took us longer to order our food than what it took us to eat. I feel like they could have a better system for ordering and paying. The food was ok. The meat needed more seasoning. The place needed a good cleaning as there was food on the floor in some places. I think this place has potential just needs a renovation from the inside.

Adding another review because Chalio's is still my favorite spot, the quality is still as high as ever, and the tacos are still the perfect road trip snack. Since last time they really cleaned up the bathroom and the main dining area as well.

Big spacious restaurant . Ive come to grab a bite to eat at various hours of the day. Food tastes authentic and prices are great.

Amazing menu. Food is always delicious. Staff excellent. Indoor & Outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Gas stations on every corner.Clean bathrooms. Very close to popular hwys , near State Hwy I-5.Truck stops.

The only issue was that my breakfast potatoes were a little cold, but everything else was absolutely delicious. We ordered the flapjacks and the prime rib breakfast sandwich, and both were amazing. The flavors were excellent, the portions were generous, and the food was very satisfying. Despite the potatoes being cold, I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place for breakfast. We really enjoyed our first visit!

They even have an ice cream shop, which is a nice bonus. The place is definitely showing its age, though. It looks pretty run down and about half the games and machines seem to be out of order. It's got a little less "Wild West attraction" and a little more "Wild West went out of business." The beer selection? Let's just say you won't get overwhelmed by choices. Then came the BBQ... somebody needs to check on that tri-tip because that thing was THIRSTY. Dry as hell and not much going on flavor-wise. Bring water for yourself AND the tri-tip. And the coleslaw... WHERE WAS IT?! I opened the container expecting coleslaw and got what looked like a tiny cabbage salad that had lost its will to live. No creaminess, barely any flavor, just a few vegetables having a meeting. The crispy fries actually showed up ready to work. Probably the MVP of the meal. Overall, it's a cool tourist stop with a lot to see, an ice cream shop, and a fun Wild West vibe. Stay for the fries and ice cream--just don't expect all the games to work or the tri-tip to have any moisture left in it.

Located in the large gas station on the north west corner of where highway 5 and highway 269 intersect. Real food, good quality. They assemble the food for you to request. I've been about 5 times and haven't had to wait more than 5 ish minutes. They're pretty quick, you can tell they're used to being busy. I always get a vegetarian burrito because it's easy on my stomach during the long drive, and easier to eat while driving. Their salsa is very good!! But other people's food always looks good. I make a point to stop here when I can. Definitely recommend! There is some indoor seating for dining (shared with Subway). Ambience is it's in a gas station. (Very well maintained restrooms too) Looking forward to next time!

We ordered three items: * Chorizo burrito * Chicken burrito * Chicken quesadillas The same lady who took my order was also preparing the food, and she seemed overwhelmed juggling multiple tasks and repeatedly forgetting parts of my order. When I asked for the pico de gallo on the side for the chicken burrito, she packed everything up and forgot it entirely. When I turned back to ask for it, she said it would be extra. The chorizo ended up tasting burnt, likely because she was managing several orders at once and left it on the cooktop too long. Overall, not the best experience. I'd suggest trying the taco truck outside of the Gas station or Subway next to it. They weren't too friendly either. The inside is clean! That's for the 1 Star

Supposed to have the works(per the lady working the register) asada, beans, onion cilantro, avocado, sour cream, cheese & lettuce (I omitted the rice) - $40 for 2 burritos sorry, ridiculously over priced. Got worse when I bit into the burrito and all it had was meat and beans - w/a touch of sour cream. Got to the middle of the burrito - still no avocado, onion, cilantro, cheese, lettuce in sight. This wasn't an error either because both burritos were ordered exactly the same way and both were made the same. The truck had one worker and one customer besides me, so there's no oversight.
