Stopped by for lunch. The young lady that was taking our order was extremely rude and had such attitude, we ended up just leaving. We first asked her if they have any seafood choices, to which she said "no". Then we asked for a menu, and literally the first thing on the menu was a Salmon salad. We ordered that and a few more dishes and a hot tea. She rolled her eyes at us every time we asked about the dressing on the side or a substitute for a side. And then we asked for a cup of hot tea, and she hands us a clear plastic cup. I told her it would melt and she looked at me with such attitude, as if I said something offensive or inappropriate. She kept huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes. We ended up canceling the whole order and leaving. Since I now have to make multiple trips between Bay Area and SoCal annually Bravo Farms has now become a tradition. Even if you're not grabbing bbq, I like to grab some coffee or energy drink for the drive. This trip I forgot some gifts for family and shopped here for cutest bear figuerine and planes and mad libs for kids. They really have it all. And you can stretch your legs while you shop. Such a great location midway through the drive to S. Cal. Ice Cream was tasty, indeed not extremely sweet. Lots of flavors and perfect for the 100+deg hot weather. The western looking signs off the highway roped us in for a stop. My boys were excited to get out of the car and explore. Love that this place has a play area for the kids to enjoy with misters cause it's hot out there. The restaurant portion had some simple food and bbq options for the weekend so we settled on a brisket sandwich, chicken tenders, Tri tip sandwich and fries. My big kid loved his Tri tip sandwich which I found to be a bit tough and dry. The brisket was good however needed more seasoning. The chicken tenders were average and the fries perfectly crispy. We liked that the place offered clean bathrooms, A/C and had a cool gift shop and ice cream parlor. I'm sure we'll drop in the next time we're on a road trip. read more

This place is a hidden gem. It's a good rest stop if you're passing though. A lot of random things to choose from for kids and adults. This place is clean, has an ice cream parlor and a restaurant. With plenty of seating and outdoor space for everyone to stretch their legs. The ribeye sandwich was ok. Cooked too well done for me and it lacked seasoning. The bbq sauce was on the tangy side and I will say it's not for everyone, but I liked the side of parm zucchini fries. It's enough for 3-4 people to share. Bravo Farms has always beeen my go-to pitstop when traveling on the I-5. BF has everything and is an oasis amongst reststops. There's so much stuff to look at and explore here. I love the gazillion choices of snacks and nic-nacks. They don't have a cheeseshop here like the other BF on the 99 side, but their cheeses are made by BF, so I always grab a box. There's a coffeeshop, ice cream shop, BBQ restaurant, games, and best of all, the biggest cleanest bathrooms. Not to mention, it's dog friendly and you can bring your dog inside while you shop. Outside is something else! There's a nice dog park on the right with olives trees, and TWO sides of playground. Next to the dog park is the treehouse and gold/gem mining. They renovated the treehouse so the rooms are much wider now. From the treehouse, you can walk the upstairs of BF to the other side, where the cowboy wild wild west town is. The walkway sells all kinds of antiques and I love that you can just walk around and explore. That town is all kinds of fun, being able to explore each building. There's benches for eating and in the summer, the misters are on. Even the surrounding area is loaded with eateries, EV charging stations, and tons of gas stations. I've seen BF grow over the years, and I'm glad they are expanding. Trips aren't the same without a stop to BF. read more

On the way back from Vegas, I stopped to charge the cyber truck and right in front of me was bravo Farms. And she got us both a salad and a tri-tip sandwich. All of the vegetables were very fresh and crispy. I have the chicken salad and it had everything that I like in it, including chopped apples, shaved nuts, chicken breast, shredded at Balsamic vinaigrette dressing there were carrots in there red onions, bell peppers strawberries everything was fresh and crispy and I dove right in. I have to say I really enjoy this salad a great deal. In addition, my wife got the salmon salad. It had strawberries apples oranges everything that she liked fresh crispy vegetables and she's hooked on it. She would definitely make a special trip to go back down to Kettleman city and try bravo Farms! The next day while at home for lunch, we heated up the tri-tip sandwich, thick juicy slices of tri-tip with nearly no fat at all served on a French roll with barbecue sauce we threw it in the air fryer and it was absolutely delicious. And I don't use that term lightly when I'm talking about food.. Again, I would highly recommend bravo Farms if you're in that area! read more

What a cute place to visit when you're on your way to Southern California. We decided to stop here before heading to Los Angeles. This place has food, wine, ice cream and a cute little store you can shop in and find some cool stuff. They also have outdoor seating if you choose to eat outside where there is a play area of some sort so the kids can play and go down the slides. Bravo Farms has a restaurant, ice cream lab, gift shop, a place to play some games, and restrooms which make for an ideal pit stop at the halfway point from the bay to LA. I always enjoy an ice cream cone when I'm here and recently my toddler enjoyed perusing the gift shop and breaking a mug (smh). Recommend dropping by for a more interesting rest stop on your travels. Great little pit stop midway between SoCal & NorCal along the not so scenic 5. We weren't expecting much at first but to our surprise the only restaurant inside called Wild Jack's Tex Mex bbq was pretty darn good. (available Thurs-Sun) chicken legs were ginormous, moist and tender. The chicken wrap ratio of Chito veggies were off but it still tasted good. Zucchini spears and sweet potato fries were perfect sides. Restrooms were also clean. Don't forget to check out the gift shop for homemade fudge, Rice Krispie bars, coffee, wine , jams, popcorn and so much more! It's definitely no Buc-ee's but it's worth a stop. read more

Love stopping here as a halfway point when I make the drive from the Bay to LA. They have clean restrooms and a cute store where you can pick up souvenirs, ice cream, candy, nuts, snacks, and more. I've stopped for coffee a few times.. really enjoyed the iced coffee, but was a bit disappointed with the latte, which tasted mostly like milk. Bravo Farms is a place we always stop when we're heading to the coast from Fresno! It's about half way, so it's perfect for our family to stop. We love their outdoor play area, it's so big and little kid friendly. There's slides, places to climb, and explore. The shop itself is pretty large, and there's lots of snacks, ice cream, coffee, wine, candy, local cheese and meats and so much more. Truly something for everybody. Going down the 5 to LA was often uneventful. I'd stop at either Love's or an Arby's for a bio break and be on my merry way to LA -- 2 stops max. It wasn't until having a kid that I had to think about where to get the wiggles out, stopping every 2 hours to get out of the car seat, and family friendly places that have a changing pad. I remember passing up Bravo Farms a couple times in the past and thought that the old barn/rustic look was rather uninviting and a bit out of the way compared to the first gas stop on the exit which is why I've never gone until recently. To my surprise, it was the perfect 2 hour stop from the East Bay with everything you need to keep your kid entertained--a gift shop with toys, an antique store up on the second floor, a big lawn area to run around, and different sized slides. Now the food! Bbq was tender, and nicely smoked. I got the combo plate with the chicken, ribs and two sides and it was enough to feed two. The sides are on the smaller side like Costco samples fyi -- that was my only complaint. The bathroom does see a lot of people so it's not the cleanest compared to the Traver location. The changing pad is near the sinks and easily accessible ( you don't have to wait on the big stall to change your little one!). read more

This place is amazing!! We left town for a weekend and drove from Orange County to Northern California with our 2yr old toddler (crazy idea)! We obviously needed to stop every few hours and decided to stop here for a quick break. The huge backyard inside the restaurant is AMAZING for kids. They have a sand pit, slides, some little spots to climb up to the slides, water mist (due to the heat) and alot of tables for parents to eat and keep an eye on their kids. The food was great and the service was friendly and fast. We absolutely loved this spot. The best part was that my toddler was absolutely tired after only 40 minutes and slept for 2 hours after getting back in the car. I wish this place was advertised at various points on the freeway to help other parents traveling with little ones. read more

I have lost track how many times we have came to the spot, it's become our main pit stop whenever we travel down south. The food portions are generous. Everything is always good and clean. We love browsing the store too, my husband even bought a two Coca-Cola stool on two different trips. This was a good stop for the kids to stretch their legs after a long car ride. The stop was planned to check out a new themed land. But it wasn't much besides a nice antique-esque facade. The kids area was large and good for kids between 0-10 years old. I think after that the kids would be too big to go into the play houses. A stroll around the area there was a market, an ice cream shop and the main restaurant. The market had the same decor and western feel, but sold same things as any gas station. If you've been to those national chains with the beaver mascot, this was way underwhelming in comparison. There were already a few families eating at the restaurant, the menu said bbq is only between Thursday - Sunday, and it was a Saturday. We ordered a little before 11AM and were told bbq won't be ready until much later. IMO The time for BBQ entree should be clearly printed on the menu. The family ended up with a burnt ends burrito, garlic fries, and onion rings. All about $40. There was a large parking lot for charging so good for families who need that. read more

I think any of the Bravo Farms is worthy of a visit to either stretch your legs, get gas, or enjoy this purveyor of curious goods such as fancy hot jellies, cookies, crackers with seeds, jerky, dried fruits, nuts, or candy. Kids will want your attention since many attractive snacks and toys will wind up in their hands so unless you have a good income... keep the littles close to you. I have a teen ager so the antipathy oozed off her while I perused the habanero blackberry jams. Left with about 60$ of speciality foods and a pretty memories found in the back area play ground. Jail, wanted signs, old gasoline pumps.... I needed many selfies here. 45 min stop. Large bathrooms for big party busses I think. Restaurant inside also. Bravo Farm is a tourist trap. Complimented with an old west theme. Step right into an air conditioned indoor adjoining shops containing a gift shop, ice cream parlor, and BBQ eatery. There is even an outdoor play area for the youngsters, but gosh all mighty the summer valley heat is a scorcher. Bravo Farms is off Interstate 5 in Kettleman City. The hours are limited to opening at 8:30am daily and closing at 8pm Monday-Thursday, and at 9pm on Friday-Sunday. The women's restrooms have a lot of stalls, the restroom was definitely built to handle a crowd. Which they do, at times I've seen touring buses stop here. The loo is kept clean and tidy and is located in the middle of the 1st floor. The parking lot has Tesla chargers even though there is a Tesla lounge down the street. The gift shop has souvenirs, gifts, local crafted items, wine, cheese, candy, crafted chocolates, and cold case of drinks including Rosa Brothers flavored milks. Rosa Brothers is a Hanford dairy. The flavors include horchata, banana, orange cream, root beer to name a few. My must stop is going the 2nd floor of the gift shop and paying for the mechanical country critters to sing and crack jokes. It's become a bit of a ritual for me each time I stop. On my last visit, I didn't have to put in money because a gentleman bet me to it. He too makes it a tradition. But his kids are young teens now, and the kids stayed to listen for a wee bit then took off. The adults stayed. Yes the jokes were dad jokes and the singing was corny. But I luved it. And on the second floor there is a carnival type shooting gallery. It's $3 a round, and the round goes by quick. read more

Stopped here on our road trip so SoCal. I remember having lunch at the Bravo Farms off highway 99 and I loved that location, so I wanted to stop here. It's a cool place to stop if you have kids who are bored from the long road trip. It gives them a chance to walk and see something different. There are some games you pay to play, and there is food, snacks, and drinks. They even have antiques on the second floor, if that's your vibe. The food offering is quite different than the location off highway 99, so hubby and I decided to eat elsewhere. We did enjoy walking though the place tho. I stopped inside and ordered some Brisket and an order of Spareribs (which I normally don't like, I prefer babybacks), but they were phenomenal! I too ignored Bravo farms for many years going up and down the I5, this time was different as I needed to hit up the NACS Standard charging for my EV. I went inside Bravo's Store and was pleasantly surprised by AC, clean bathrooms, various type of convenience food, retro sodas, a coffee bar, the classic locally sourced candles, fruits, nuts and honey! It's a nice way to spend your charging time and there weren't the looooong lines for bathrooms and food like InO. read more

There is a section that sells ice cream, a cafe area for tea and coffe3, Various chocolates and gifts and books. Glad I purposely planned to charge here at Bravo Farms Kettleman City, instead of Firebaugh, which is notorious for crowded bathroom and relatively small facilities. The brisket sandwich was delicious and always fun to walkthrough the Bravoland attraction. Spacious and cleaner restrooms, tons of parking, and fun merchandise to browse. Found an interesting heritage soda bottle (peaches and cream one)...reminds me of the good ole days of Crush Peach which I dont think is made anymore. Prices at Bravoland are on the higher side but understandable as the cost to run such a huge family friendly, very hospitable retail/rest facility isn't cheap. It is easy to spend more than 30 minutes in this place so skip this stop if you're in a hurry! Okay. I stopped because I saw a billboard that said Texas BBQ, and I am so starved for good BBQ, I decided to stop by. The Brisket BBQ Sandwich is kind of a miss, but with enough BBQ Sauce, it is serviceable. I am spoiled coming from Texas, so I have high standards. The building is really long and reminds me of some stops in Texas. But I had to drop a star because the music playing Dixie on the banjo over and over was quite irritating. Texans don't really listen to Dixie-- that's more of a Deep South thing. If anything, they should play country music. But this place is more of a caricature of Texas, not an actual representation of it. It is like someone felt like creating a Disneyland treatment of Texas with animatronic bears carnival barking. It was trippy but also reminded me of home. But yea, I can't get over Dixie playing on the banjo like 5x over and over. It feels mildly racist, if I am honest lol. Oh well read more

My Tesla needed charging, so we stopped in Kettleman City. Wanted to go to In-N-Out, but the placed was PACKED. Never seen it so busy before. As we were about to leave, my daughter and wife needed to use the restroom, so we decided to stop by Bravo Farm. I ordered the brisket sandwhich, and to my surprise, it was very good. (Note: I smoke briskets and ribs all the time, so I am extremely picky). The flavor was spot on. It was a little pricey ($18), but everything is expensive now. Overall - very happy with the food quality. read more
