I showed up five minutes after they opened, on a Monday, and the parking lot already had more than 10 cars, so I was worried I would have to wait. When I got inside, I counted 4 people manning the counters, and 7 customers. I waited less than five minutes to be called to the counter, and Ida (not sure of the spelling) the agent was very pleasant and efficient. I was there to get an international driving policy, and Ida filled out my forms, took my payment of $36, took my two passport photos, and I was out the door in about 20 minutes total. I called AAA because the van I was driving broke down around 11:30am. The request for a tow was…read morefairly quick and straightfoward. Kraken Towing contacted me and told me the driver had another vehicle on the truck, but would be there within an hour. Brian from Kraken called me again and told me he should be there soon, he just closed the previous ticket. AAA texts me and tells me the driver is on the way and will be there within 20 minutes. It's now 12:30. 12:45 Brian from Kraken calls and tells me, sorry there's an issue w the car that's on the truck now the place he's dropping it off is giving him issues having to move cars around. I tell him, per the AAA app, he's 3 minutes away- he said I don't know why the app is saying that. I said how long, he said I'm not sure. I call AAA again at 1:15. They tell me he should be there any minute it's showing in the app he's down the block. I told them the towing company told me that he's stuck at a yard. AAA says let us call the dispatcher we will get back to you. 1:30, dispatcher says he will be there in 10 minutes. 2pm I call AAA again. I tell them it's way past the 10 minutes and still no tow. It's hot out, I'm hot I'm overheated and it's now 2 1/2 hours since I first called. Finally Brian from Kraken calls me back and tells me he will be there in 3 minutes - about 2:15 - 2:30 the driver finally shows up. I mean I expect to wait for a tow a reasonable amount of time but almost 3 hours is ridiculous - I understand things happen but one hand doesn't know what the other is doing with AAA. I'm also not sure why Kraken took the job if they knew their driver was that busy- The tow driver was quick, got the van right on the bed and got it over to the mechanic. Also AAA will tell you that you can ride w/ the Tow driver- the driver told me no they can't for insurance reasons- so beware when booking a Tow- it's not the first time I've heard that from a Tow driver- so double check it-
