We humans schedule our manicures on the regular, so why shouldn't we do the same for our fur-babies. You can call and schedule a nail trim for your favorite dog. Call, schedule and while you wait in the small reception area, your dog can get a traditional nail trim, or for a few dollars more, you can have the nails done with a grinder which makes the trim smoother. My dogs have always enjoyed the spa treatment, so I go for the full experience. A refreshing bath and a manicure, is well worth it. If you have a bath and brush dog, I highly recommend Cathy. She loves dogs and will put your dogs at ease.

It did not take long, we found the perfect one here at TU in Kirkwood. Sophia's signature color is pink and we found one that is a medium pink with paw prints on it. She tried the collar on and it was a perfect fit. So we got the matching leash, too. She is going to look so stylish walking in our neighborhood. I'm making her wait till the end of the month on her actual day, before she can start wearing it. We also picked her up a, Princess Crown cookie. Of course, TU does them in pink, so it is as if they made it just for her. The staff here is always super friendly and makes over all the dogs. They're also very knowledgeable in the premium foods if you need assistance with that, too. When you shop, be sure to sign up for the rewards program. There's lots of perks for your fur-baby. For one thing, they get a free cookie during their birth month. Sophia's is in September and she's already counting the days down.

Not to belabor my love of The Groom Room . . . but --…read more The four-leggers went in for the standard cut and wash, to include nail trims and dew claws. Yes, they all still have them. THIS IS THE BIG POINT: the Thomas Raymond yelping and screaming (actually I'd call it other-worldly screeching) for each nail trim (which is above and beyond drama) didn't exist, except for a few yips on this trip. And that makes me happy! He's getting used to it, and The Groom Room is working its magic! I do like that nobody comes home with bows or ribbons or bandanas or any other accoutrements. I hate that stuff. And they're not perfumed up, either. Just good-smelling clean dogs. They went in at 10:30 a.m. and were done by 1 p.m. Thomas Raymond was not having a good day getting along with other dogs, except for Cali Marie and Jacob Mitchell, so he was sequestered with them. And true to form -- which has been a curse we've endured for at least two years -- it rains the day they're groomed. Crap in a handbag!
