Well.... We were looking for a good Mediterranean restaurant that was closer to home. We live out by Clovis East. It seems like all the good restaurants are on the west side of town in River Park area. We thought we would give this new restaurant a try. I think they may have been open for quite a while, but I never had tried it nor had. I had any friends that had tried it as of yet. I was very, very impressed with this restaurant. The staff was very polite from the minute. We walked in the door.! We ordered the hummus appetizer, which was absolutely fabulous. Probably the best hummus I've ever had.! I ordered the chicken kabob plate. Sometimes chicken can be dry at these Mediterranean restaurants. I can tell you firsthand that the chicken was probably the most moist chicken kabob I've ever had!! we got the sangria, which was amazing as well! I highly recommend you try this restaurant. First things first walking into this restaurant felt like being welcomed into someone's home. The upmost friendly and welcoming wait staff helped with the menu and serving us our food. Vegetarian food review- I ordered the garlic fries, vegetable kabob plate, and habibi cookie. The veggies had a nice smoky taste and perfect texture. The rice pilaf was the standout to me as is was rich is buttery flavor. The fattoush salad was okay. And unfortunately the hummus was a bust for me as it was way too lemony. Our appetizer, the garlic fries, were some of the best I've ever had. Thin and crispy fries where every fry was perfectly coated in garlic, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. I would definitely recommend those as a starter or substitute for regular fries. Our desert was divine as well a crispy and rich chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top will satisfy your sweet tooth. The restaurant was clean and booths are spacious. Our food was brought out to us in a timely manner as well. The menu is on the smaller side but they allow you different options for the sides there's 3 rice options and 2 salad options as well as fries or garlic fries. We decided to try Tete's after learning of the Mediterranean cuisine. We went on the Friday b4 V Day, got there at 5:15pm & had our choice of table or booth. My wife chose the lamb kebab ($20) & I chose the Combo kebabs ($25) I had 4 choices of protein, I went w/the beef n chicken. They brought out warm pita bread w/ garlic hummus while we waited. After a short wait, our dishes arrived & the smell was fantastic. My wife loved her lamb & said the pilaf was perfect. My beef & chicken were grilled perfectly. Arrived with my little family of 4 just around 3:30pm for an early dinner. There was a bit of traffic getting through Old Town Clovis but there was plenty of parking. We were greeted upon entry and we were the only ones there. They have plenty of indoor, outdoor seating and a bar. This place is clean. We were provided with menus as we seat and given a high chair for my 1yo and they gave my 3yo paper and crayons. My husband and I both ordered a plate. I got the chicken kabob plate which comes with hummus, a choice of salad and rice. My choices were fatoush salad with rice pilaf and hummus. My husband ordered combo kabob (2 proteins of choice) he chose lamb and beef. As we waited they brought out pita bread with garlic sauce. Both were very delicious, the pita soft and the garlic sauce was very garlicky with a hit of spice. Our order arrived about 10mins later. Plated beautifully. Noticed the large amount of salad that was provided. The rice pilaf was perfect. My chicken kabob was okay alittle on the dry side. My husband's lamb and beef was delicious. Both tender and flavorful. My fatoush salad was yum, fresh ingredients and perfect zesty dressing. Didn't realize the pita bread that was provided way before our meal was given was the pita bread that was meant for our hummus. We ended up eating it all and sharing it with the kids prior to reviving our entree. Wish they gave more on the side with our main dishes. The hummus was okay it also has a little spice to it. Tete's Kitchen is the newest family run restaurant in Old Town Clovis and as of July 2025, they will have been open for over a month. They still haven't done much decorating, but the food and service is great! I ordered the chicken kebab plate with a Greek salad and the falafel fries. The chicken was flavorful and very juicy. I'd inhaled the saffron rice that came with his plate. The rice was perfectly cooked and the saffron flavor was upfront, but did not overpower the plate. This plate came with an option of fries or two types of salad. One being a Greek salad and the other a classic Arabic salad with chucks of tomato, cucumber, onion, with other herbs. Their hummus was on point and I don't know what the sauce was called that came with my chicken, but I could've drank it, it was that good! Solid food and friendly service. Came in for a bite for lunch after shopping in old town Clovis. Did not regret it. The Shawarma's were fresh and delicious. Plenty of meat with red onion and a garlic sauce. My boy jad the fries which i think were from frozen but still were hat and tasted great with a light seasoning on them. We also tried the sabanekh pies which we thought might be like a spanakipita but ended up even better. The wait staff were polite and attentive. Saw this new restaurant in downtown Clovis so I had to try. The grilled chicken wasn't rubbery as typical chicken skewers can be. It's definitely charred which I personally like. The rice is perfectly fluffy and not overpowering which is how I expect rice to be. The hummus was a bit too lemon-tangy for me. I did find a piece of foil in my rice which these things happen, so I'm not too mad about that. They also forgot to put my baklava in my bag which is also my fault I should have checked. read more

I went into tetes kitchen with my daughter today and we shared a plate of food. We had the vegetable skewers and also ordered the labneh as an appetizer. All of it was so delicious. For dessert we had shared a kanafe. The kanafe was really good! My total was only $30 for a whole meal with appetizer and dessert. Overall a good experience with friendly service and would recommend this restaurant if you are in old town and need a place to eat. read more

6/27/26 Hot & New! Must try! Getting lunch! I called and ordered the chicken Kebab plate with no rice, an extra salad instead. I also asked If she could do regular Falafel instead of fries. That wasnt a problem. The worker taking the order was very kind. Said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went to pick it up. Arrived. Nice restaurant. Clean and safe. Bar, booths and tables with chairs. Order was ready! Paid for it and left. The person that took my order was much kinder and welcoming than the person I picked the order up from. Oh well! The owner was very attentive and staff were friendly. Had great suggestions as it was first time there. I have a new favorite place for lamb (apparently sourced from Australia) the rice pilaf was great along with the house salad. The meat thingy I'll call it because I can't pronounce it was a delicious appetizer. It's ground beef, you'll enjoy.... I have dined here four times during the past several months. On each occasion, servers were friendly and efficient. The place is clean. I have had the falafel wrap and the chicken sandwich, both of which tasted fine but were a bit on the dry side and would have benefited from the addition of tomato or cucumber or pickle. The garlic fries were very good. Assorted companions had the kabobs (beef chicken, and combo) and enjoyed them. I had the beef kabob once and liked it, although it was cooked a bit past the requested medium rare. Rice and salad were very good. The music was too loud and they turned it down to a reasonable level upon request. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes should satisfy nearly everyone. So, the kabobs seem to be a safe bet, and I will go back soon to try some of the other items. read more

Traveling for work. Love Mediterranean food and found this mom and pop gem in old town Clovis. Ordered the lamb kebabs and they did not disappoint. Ordered it medium and it came out perfect, juicy and tender. Salad and rice were solid too. Garlic sauce comes w the order but personally I think it didn't need it. Everything was already really flavorful. Service was excellent, came by multiple times to check if everything was ok or if I needed anything. Will be back next time I'm in town. Wow! I LOVED Tete's Kitchen. My friend and I both ordered the Chicken Kebab. I was shocked at how tender the chicken breast was. Inevitably I order chicken breast and it is try and tough - not here. Truly, it was outstanding. So tender and delicious. The rice pilaf was delicious as well and I have to say - the Fattoush Salad was the best that I have ever had. My complaint on Fattoush is that it is often too lemony - Tete's did it perfectly! The wait staff was incredibly friendly and the owner came out to check on us. I expounded on how much I loved Tete's...and she then brought over a complimentary Baklava. So now - Baklava - it was outstanding as well! Had a wonderful dinner at Tete's kitchen. Three couples met for a great dinner Thursday night. Got there at 5pm just ahead of the dinner and takeout crowd. We had a sample of the menu. Appetizers of falafel fries. Hummus with pita chips. Lamb dinner, vegetarian skewers. pita sandwich. Service was great and friendly. *1/5 stars - Horrible Experience at Teta's Kitchen* We walked into Teta's Kitchen and were immediately greeted by an empty restaurant, which was a red flag. We ordered hot herbal gray tea, but it was served in a mug with a tea bag and was ice cold. No sugar or sweetener was provided, and we had to ask for it and request that the tea be heated. The Kibbih was a disaster - it wasn't shaped well so the stuffing was burnt, and it looked disgusting. A 10-year-old could shape better Kibbi. The reused oil was also evident, and it was clear the food wasn't made with care. The pieces were so small compared to other restaurants. I ordered the vegetarian plate, expecting a generous serving of veggies. Instead, I got a plate with mostly onion and tomato, two pieces of green pepper, and a 2 of pieces of mushroom. The fries were old and cold. and the hummus tasted like it was straight from a can. The food was very salty and clearly old. My companion ordered the combo kebab plate with chicken and steak. The 2 pieces of chicken was undercooked, and the 2 p pieces steak was tough and lacked seasoning. It was clear the food had been reheated, and it was disgusting. Differently not authentic and have nothing to do with the Mediterranean food quality neither taste. The total bill came to $70, which was a total rip-off for the horrible food and service. We left feeling hungry, ripped off and disappointed. I will Avoid Teta's Kitchen at all costs. It doesn't serve to the name teta's food which means grandmother's food. read more

The tzatziki and hummus had so much raw garlic in them that they were actuslly spicy. The hummus was really bad, the garlic was overpowering.
