Salmon with mango salsa

What can I say, if the food is this good, I can't stop going. If the service is top notch, I can't stop going! The environment is calm and relaxing, I can't stop going! Again I have to say I really miss the soup and salad bar, still think it is a missed opportunity. But, the meal we had tonight can not compare! We enjoyed perfectly cook salmon, stuffed herbed chicken breast and seared cod. All perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our choice of sides were garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus with mango salsa, which was so good. We ended the meal with freshly made Poppy seed pound cake, glazed with lemon curd, topped with raspberry sorbet and a sprig of mint! Oh lord! So good. My daughter tried the chocolate Mousse with a hint of cinnamon! Amazing! The back ground music, the great food and the friendly service will keep me returning. The chefs are the best! Manny and Michelle were attentive to our needs! Thanks Dosan, I'll be back, the ribeye sandwich is calling my name! Happy eating Clovis!

They had a buffet here which was really good. Last time I had their tri tip sandwich with french fries, and ketchup. I thought it was really good. Their design of the restaurant is nice. It is cozy, full of light. It is easy to chill and relax in here. The meat tastes nice and cheesy. Bread is soft. I wish they'd bring the buffet back, though. Maybe one day.

I came here for the first time during lunch and was sad to hear they recently got rid of their salad bar. I mourn Sweet Tomatoes regularly because where can you find a good salad bar these days? We were told they discontinued the buffet because they weren't getting enough business to sustain it and had to throw away a lot of food. The inside is beautifully decorated, but it was empty when we arrived at 1pm on a Saturday so it felt a little weird. A few more groups did come in after us though so we weren't completely alone. One party left upon hearing there was no salad bar. There was only one worker acting as host, waiter and busser, which I assume is due to lack of business. It took us an hour to get our entrees due to the added wait time of only one worker taking orders. His handheld machine used to taking orders also stopped working halfway through and he had to write done the rest of the orders. Then he came back and found out none of the digital orders went through and had to retake half of our orders. He told us they hired a new chef from out of town and are putting the finishing touches on a new menu with a grand opening soon. This building has been home to several different restaurants over the years and despite what I think is a good location, I fear it could be cursed. The food was good and I enjoyed my meal. I hope their future plans work out and they are able to stay open.

Giving Dosan a 3-stars because the space itself is honestly beautiful. The outside is what first caught our attention, and the inside is just as nice--very clean, stylish, and it definitely looks like it should be a popular spot. But every time we drive by, there's barely anyone there, and after visiting, I understand why. They really need better marketing and more of a clear identity. We didn't even know what kind of food they served until we walked in. It feels like they're trying to be high-end, but the restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis. We later found out it used to be a buffet, and now it seems like they're trying to rebrand without really creating enough buzz around it. They need promotions, events, maybe even live music--something to bring people in. The menu is extremely limited, and there's no kids' menu at all, which was frustrating for a family dinner. They ended up handing us the lunch menu just to compensate. My daughter ordered the Alfredo pasta, and it honestly didn't taste like Alfredo--it mostly tasted like oil. Adding Parmesan helped a little, but it was still disappointing. The bread was decent enough. I ordered the cod with rice and asparagus, and it was okay--probably the best part of the meal--but nothing that made me feel like I'd come back for it. The waiter was kind and doing their best to answer questions, so no complaints there. Overall, it just felt like a restaurant with potential but no real direction. Nice atmosphere, decent service, but the food and overall experience didn't match the high-end vibe they seem to be aiming for. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

Came during my hour lunch because I wanted something healthy and found reviews online about their salad bar. Took some time to be greeted but once I paid $15 for the salad and soup bar things went quick! They have lots of options for salads, a wide variety and lots of dressings as well. They had 2 soups at the time and I went with the pozole they had! It was pretty good for a place in clovis like this. The waitress came back and told me all about the happy hour and other things they offer since I didn't have time for the full experience! I'd love to try to meat station and other side they have. I'll definitely be coming back here when I have more time to sit and eat! (Nice vibe inside and a good replacement for sweet Tomatoes)

Beet salad

Came back for a 2nd time and brought the husband for Father's Day. He loved the food! The restaurant is large and clean. We sat in the lounge/bar area. The seats are comfy. Everything we ate was delicious. It's different from typical restaurants and the service was great. We were seated right away. We ordered the stuffed bread for the appetizer and they baked it on the spot. The beet salad was so fresh and yummy! It came out warm and so flavorful. The only downside is that the machine to pay and checkout was glitchy and I couldn't tip on it so I had to use cash, which I rarely carry.

I would give Dosan FIVE STARS for ambience! The open dining area has comfortable booths surrounding the periphery of the room. The ONLY place in FRESNO/CLOVIS area, that plays low volume, instrumental jazz in the background. It's a pleasant and peaceful environment. Truly a unique and peaceful atmosphere. They also have a patio, that could be enjoyable in the evenings. We were here two days after the opening, so one must give them time to get up and running. They had various pickled items on the salad bar (yellow cauliflower, cucumbers, and large radish slices) and a good variety of greens. The potato salad was delicious! The pasta items and wedge potatoes were VERY tasty, however, they were not 'hot' . . . They will have to experiment on tweaking their heating elements, as those items were just lukewarm, as well as my carved turkey. At the carving station, you can ask them to 'assemble' a sandwich for you! My husband came back with a pastrami sandwich that he enjoyed. Dessert consisted of a variety of; cookies, brownies, muffins, and rice crispy bars. It was $25 each for all you can eat, and drinks are separate. Service is friendly.

Went on opening day expecting first day hiccups. $25 for the all you can eat buffet and another $9 for one trip to the carving station. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The gentleman at the carving station was very polite and agreeable. Everything at the salad bar was fresh and delicious. Dressings were good. Besides the salad bar, the best items were the house made pickles, mustard, pepperoni pizza, and Italian wedding soup. There were many things that could be improved. Overall, almost everything needed more seasoning, including salt. The meats were a disappointment. The pastrami was juicy and tender, but barely had a hint of pastrami spice. The turkey and beef were dry and mealy. The au jus had a layer of oil on the top. The sauerkraut and grilled onions were kind of flavorless too. The mac and cheese looked amazing, but tasted like nothing. Corn bread was dry and crumbly and biscuits were rock hard. The red sauce for the pasta tasted like tomato paste. The desserts were just ok, nothing special. All in all, $9 for the carving station option would be a great deal if the meats were better, and $25 for just the salad bar is not a great value. We may go back again, but not for at least a few months.

Tangerine & Beet salad

This place was very clean, open and airy. The service was excellent. You can see in my photos what we had - of course, we had to trade small slices with each other of our food: it was all very good, especially the chicken panini. They also have a soup and salad bar. They had a special going on for $5 margaritas. I plan on going back.

The restaurant itself is nice, comfortable, nice atmosphere. Staff extremely attentive! The food is ok. Not bad, but not great. I won't go there again due to the cost. $24.99 for the buffet and $4.00 for a soda. If it was $20 including a drink, yes, I'd say it's worth it.... Maybe.

How much is for buffet?

It was $25 for the buffet and like $4 for the fountain drinks. You can get wine and other alcohol as well.

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

We made a reservation, which is nice because they print your name on the menu! And then we promptly forgot to actually take the menus with us. :( This is a prix fixe menu where you have a choice for each of the courses (think DineLA style), and the menu apparently changes all the time, according to the whims of the chef (which is the most fun). We also shared a wine pairing and the sommelier was fantastic in telling us about each of the wines. Wonderful experience. Our server, Trevor, was great! We loved the pecan pie cheesecake (my partner says it's the perfect thickness - as in, it's not very thick at all, and manageable after a large meal. I also really liked the sesame crusted tuna, and the wagyu beef was amazing. My partner got a casarecce for one of the courses and she loved that. The flavors in that are super intense and really delicious. We were seated in the garden patio, and there seemed to have been an engagement party that evening, but you couldn't hear anything from the garden patio - it was very peaceful and chill. Looking forward to visiting again when we are in town! For $78 for a prix fixe menu ($62 for wine pairing), compared to LA prices, we are down!

I rate restaurants on a 5-point scale based on food quality, service, cleanliness, and price/value/variety (1 point each), plus wait time/pacing and atmosphere/ambiance (0.5 point each). Based on that scale, I would give Texas de Brazil a 4.7 out of 5. Every time we visit, the restaurant is spotless. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, from the dining area to the salad bar, which is always fresh, flavorful, well-stocked, and beautifully maintained. Even though it is self-service, staff are constantly checking the area, keeping it clean, and making sure dishes are replenished. The service is excellent. The servers are attentive from the moment you arrive. They offer drinks quickly, explain the menu, and remain consistently present without being intrusive. Your plate never stays empty for long, and you never feel like you have to chase someone down for service. The meats are absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked, flavorful, and plentifu, and I mean plen-ti-ful. Since Texas de Brazil is all-you-can-eat, you really do get your money's worth. It is on the pricier side, which is why I would take 0.3 off for price/value/variety, but the quality of the food, the service, and the amount you can enjoy still make it worth it. I've seen some reviews mention feeling rushed, especially during busy times or holidays. My recommendation is simple: use the red/green card system to your advantage. If you turn your card to red, they stop bringing meat to your table. When you're ready for more, turn it back to green. That makes the experience much more enjoyable and lets you eat at your own pace. Another plus is that they often have online promotions where you can buy multiple dinners at a significant discount, usually valid Monday through Thursday. Even when using those deals, the quality and service remain just as good. The only item I personally found a bit too salty was the Parmesan chicken, so I'd skip that one or try it with caution. As for dessert, they've all been wonderful so far, but the carrot cake is currently my favorite. Overall, Texas de Brazil is absolutely worth it if you enjoy great service, quality food, and a dining experience that feels like a treat every time.

I went during peak hours on a busy day, and seeing the place packed actually made me feel a bit more secure. I figured with that many customers, the kitchen and salad bar would naturally stay fresher since the food is constantly being cycled out. While I still think any establishment should keep things up to par regardless of how slow it is, the difference in freshness this time was really noticeable compared to my first visit when it was dead. The service was great, which is a big win for me because even in my last review, I mentioned the service was the one thing they got right. I'm really glad to see that's still super consistent here. As for the food, they had a lot of "trendy" meats that I've been hearing about. I think it's a cut that's been all over TikTok the Picanha cut? I might be wrong on the name, but I'd heard people talking about it and it was super good and very tender. The biggest improvement, though, was the consistency. I prefer my beef medium-rare, and last time I was here, almost everything they brought out was well-done. This time, every piece that made its way to my table was cooked exactly how I like it. I'm glad I was actually able to enjoy the meal this time!
