First time staying in the Bend area, we had rented the Storm King 5 for our friends Birthday with such a large group this was the perfect place! All of the bedrooms were located down on the main floor, each with their own bathroom which was extremely convenient. Each room also had extra blankets in each closet which was nice to have. The upstairs hosted a kitchen, living room and large porch with bbq. We decide to bbq steaks our first night and it was nice to be able to be part of the group while bbqing instead of down on the first floor. The rest of the appliances in the kitchen were extremely hard to use. I don't think we ever really understood how to ignite the oven correctly. The fridge was placed inside trim that didn't allow for the doors to open all the way and the ice machine was VERY slow. The whole place was very modern but i think being a little more user friendly would have been nice. One thing we also really liked was that there was a full washer and dryer inside the unit so we were able to wash towels for night two as we all used the hot tub on our first night. I think for the amount of people this place was able to host the price was fair. I think if i were to come back to town with a large group I would come here again. read more

We stayed at the hotel here for a couple nights to snowboard at Mt Bach. The staff is wonderful from Phil, Leo to the staff at the restaurants. The restaurants had great food and a good cocktail list. Rooms were clean, We had a king suite overlooking the golf course. I felt considered and well taken care of. Excellent safety precautions while still receiving top notch hospitality service. We will definitely be back to visit soon and get another fantastic meal at The Row. The only negative I had was the pool reservations, we were able to get in a few times. However on the last day we were called 3 times to move our reservation to later and later which we then had to move our dinner reservation to later in town. We did that but when we got there we saw there were a few people that came in that were there before us and then right after us that were definitely not staying at the hotel. I think they were friends of the staff. There were about 8-10 people in one hot tub with outside alcohol and food with more join after our 30 mins were up. Considering Covid, I would have appreciated to just have guest of the resort be at the pool area considering I don't think any of them were screen prior like how we were. read more

What a beautiful property. The room is very nice and the views here are stunning. The service has been great and they are pet friendly which is always a plus for us. If you are a golfer be prepared for a challenge because the course is no cake walk, but it's worth the challenge. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Bend. read more

We only spent a night here on a road trip in Central Oregon and loved the place. It's clean, has great views, and gives an overall upscale feel to it. The golf course is gorgeous. The only bad thing is that they don't offer room service. You can order from the two restaurants on site but then you have to go pick it up. Although that's not a big deal, but when you just check in late in the evening, after a day of traveling and outdoors activities you don't want to do anything but enjoy a nice drink in the privacy of your balcony. read more

We do at least one Bend trip every year to ski Mt. Bachelor and we've always stayed in Airbnbs because they generally are more cost effective, can accommodate large groups, and some are pet friendly. This year we had a group of 16 and came across Tetherow while browsing VRBO. Our overall experience was so great...I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else in the future! Tetherow has several lodging options. They have a boutique hotel as well as vacation homes. We were told that some of the vacation homes are independently owned and managed by Tetherow. Both lodging options are located on the same resort. Alpine 17 is the vacation home that accommodates the most people, but it wasn't available during the dates that we would be there so we ended up renting both Alpine 21 and Alpine 22 (each accommodates 10 people). The homes were side by side so it was easy to go between both. Both homes were stocked with basic necessities - dinnerware, cookware, bakeware, utensils, paper towels, trash bags, soap (dish, hand, laundry detergent), and towels. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the home and all the features that made our stay so comfortable - built in speakers, large sofas, additional blankets, outdoor grill, fire pit, laundry machines, gas fireplace, and hot tub. We all felt like we were living in luxury for the weekend! Our particular homes were pet friendly and we were provided food and water dishes, a floor pad, and complimentary dog treats upon arrival. Check-in and check-out was simple and quick. We didn't take advantage of the other resort amenities, but loved that they were provided - a community pool that's always heated to 85 degrees, a gym, a free shuttle service into Bend. The resort is about a 20 minutes drive from Mt. Bachelor. Best part was that our luxury weekend didn't break the bank! I can't say enough about how impressed we were and I can't wait to come back! Tip: even though you can book the vacation homes through VRBO, I would book through the website directly. We found that it was cheaper and you weren't subject to all the various fees. read more

I'm so confused by this place. We were deciding between here and Brasada and because this was a bit less at a mere $550/ night we went here. We arrived at 1pm after requesting early check in to be told our room wouldn't be available till 4. Went to the pool (which was the main focus for our trip) and found a rather small pool next the main road. They have an incredible view of all of Bend and the mountains that they chose to put the parking lot on instead of the pool which would've had a great view. Pool is loud with cars driving by..not relaxing. Food at the Row restaurant was good. Regretting not shelling out the extra $$ for the Brasada experience. Feels more like a fancier Hilton than an expensive "resort." Would never have shelled out this much knowing what it is. read more

The view from the room was spectacular out over the Bend valley, and the dog-friendly accommodations were the best we have ever received (a dog bed, bowl, and treats). I went to Tetherow for my friend's wedding, but I do not think she got her money's worth. Everything was pretty, but the service was awful. The boast about having free shuttle that was never available when we called because people would book it in advance, which was not explained at check in was aggravating. Next, another hotel guest from the wedding said her room's a/c was broken. Two guys showed up to fix it, but gave up and promised a fan which was never delivered. After renting cabanas with limited service (barely any body bothered to take drink orders), I was ignored by towel delivery guy multiple times. Upon checking in I was told a rate and then up-charged a secret fee for moving the dates from a previous phone call I made to change my reservation ahead of time (yes 48 hours). When I moved this date I was promised no charge (pics show from emails). The manager argued with me about this fee on the phone and said there was nothing she could even do though I explained to her my proof. The manager disregarded my proof and kindly told me "it's a policy." Well if you are looking for service this is not what Tetherow's $300+ night fee for a basic room is about. read more

Had a wonderful breakfast at The Row! Hayli couldn't have been more helpful. She educated us on the Laird Superfood coffee to get us started, tasty..! ...helped my boy Jason find the best gluten free options available, and by the end, I settled on the quinoa power bowl. OMG, a LOT of food for breakfast, but I made it through!! (Eye of the Tiger plays ..) We were also able to get some work done as we digested and enjoyed the amazing mountain views, and watched the hacks, I mean... super awesome golfers light up the course. We'll certainly be back! Would only give one star if food and drinks were not so good. Service was embarrassing. Went here 2 nights in a row thought to give it a second chance, first time we were forgotten about for 45 min. With empty cups. The second time, even worse. Ordered French fries but never received, bar/resteraunt was 99% empty STILL couldn't wait on us, or clean a dirty table. The row was the worst service ever received at bar. Bartender felt it was more important to sit at bar and talk with friends for an hour than help paying customers. Also, shouldn't have a sign in front that says wait to be seated if your not going to acknowledge anyone who walks in. We ended up sitting at the bar ourselves after waiting for 15 min with no one even talking to us once. read more

We had a great stay at Tetherow. We booked a couple rooms for a family trip. The rooms were clean, spacious, and updated. The beds were very comfortable, too! My parents' room had the heat broken, so David helped them switch to a new room and provided us with a complementary breakfast. We got stuck in winter storm Iras, and not only did they let us stay in our room an extra night for free since our flight was canceled, but they also provided us with a free four wheel drive shuttle to drive us to the funeral. Tetherow went out of its way to make us have a comfortable stay. Thanks especially to Brenda at the front desk and David the GM for taking good care of us. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

Great Venue! Spent the weekend at the tetherow for a friends wedding and have nothing but great things to say! We golfed on hover boards (phenomenal course), ate at the row (staff was superb), and spent time at the spa / pool facility. All of it is easy to access from the row home we rented. The row home was beautiful - out door fire put, hot tubs, and a view of the course from the BBQ deck on 2nd floor. Staff left us some local micro brews to welcome us The wedding facility was beautiful at the reception was excellent. The staff offered to stay as late as we wanted. Went there last night with three girlfriends and had the exact opposite experience of most other reviewers: thought the food was only so-so and found the wait staff fantastic. (Waiter Donnie was "the bomb"). What disappointed me seriously was my dinner -- a fall celebration called Elk Shepherds Pie. The problem was there was virtually NO elk in it. I felt like I paid $16 for mashed potatoes. Had there been about four times the stew underneath all the potatoes, it would have been 1) delicious and 2) worth the money. As it was, it was neither. It came with a salad but the salad had no dressing on it -- just lettuce, one slice of cucumber & two little tiny tomatoes. The other thing that disappointed me was there was no happy hour anything. C'mon -- does it hurt that much to give $2 off an $8 glass of wine for an hour four days a week? My fellow diners also found their dinners to be sort of hit and miss with the exception of the smoked salmon salad which was deemed delicious. For dessert, we shared a macadamia ice cream which I have to admit was knee-buckling good. If only I could say the same thing about my $16 dinner and $8 wine. read more

For the second year in a row we had a great stay at Tetherow in the South Fork units. Five couples staying together in the comfortable 5BR/5.5BA unit. The facility is nice and clean and feels so new. Having the BBQ and hot tub are great amenities. We also enjoyed golf at the Tetherow Golf Club, certainly challenging, but course was in great shape, the staff provided fantastic service and bar/restaurant was a great place to have a drink. I have to recognize Christy Kimble who was always there to answer my questions and was prompt in her responses, we exchanged over 20 emails. She was so helpful. We are planning Montana next year after two years here, but when we are ready to come back, Tetherow will be our first choice. read more

Solomon's has a beautiful restaurant with views of the cascades. Went out with a girlfriend for dinner. Our server was on point with timing and recommendations. Unfortunately the only vegetarian entree on the menu was not available. In its place was pasta primavera. Super bummer. Pasta primavera is standard fare with salad for vegetarians....I wish restaurants would offer more than one vegetarian option or offer one that has some creativity, especially at a fine dining locale like this. read more

My husband and I just spent three nights in a cottage at Tetherow, and it was such a wonderful experience! From the clean and modern decor, heavenly king bed, fully-stocked kitchen, private hot tub, and open and comfortable layout, the house completely exceeded our expectations. We loved the central location and close proximity to downtown Bend, Mt. Bachelor, and surround attractions. The view from our windows was spectacular, and we could see multiple mountains and downtown while enjoying our coffee. We rode our mountain bikes all around the property and over to Phil's Trail, which it connects to, took their complimentary shuttle into downtown, used the gym, and even took a group exercise class one morning. The employees were the icing on the cake, taking great care of us, from check-in to check-out. They made sure we had everything we needed and were very helpful in scheduling our shuttles, responding to questions about the house, and explaining the area and property. We will definitely stay at Tetherow again, and I would rate it 6 stars if possible. If you are heading to the Bend area, book this place!! Nothing else in the area compares. read more

My husband booked a room for a stay-cation to celebrate my birthday. The room was spacious, clean and had an amazing view! The fireplace added a great ambiance and bed was soooo comfortable. I'm docking The Row 2 stars because of the service. We sat down quickly, but took 15 minutes to get menus. We decided quickly what to order and no one came by for some time. I got up to go order food at the bar and at the same time our server rushed out to take our order. The food was good. We split a caprese flatbread and a cheesesteak. Both were excellent. Our server was very nice and delivered the food quickly, but didn't refill waters until we were through with dinner. So far this place is failing. We stayed here a few weeks back and it was decent. Rooms are very nice and clean, great views. Let's start with our current visit. Arrived at 1420 hours, check in is technically at 1600. Told no rooms ready so we went to go grab something to eat. Returned at 1530 and sat waiting for our room until 1630. Concierge offered free drinks. Really are you serious? How about adjusting the costs of the room? We finally get into the room and try to go to the pool. Guy tells us we can't go in until he validates we are guests. How about I have a valid key, how about calling the concierge desk to check. I walk to the concierge desk and tell her the issue. Return to pool and guy didn't want to give my wife a towel until I came back, one per guest. Really I went to fix your mistake. While at the pool we get told only 14 and over can be in the hot tub. Don't mind the kids that are not 14 or older in the hot tub. Don't mind the kids diving into the pool and running around the pool. Just my first few hours on this trip here. Day 2 arrive at the restaurant for breakfast. I served my own coffee. After a hour of waiting for my food and watching 1 guy run around trying to do everything himself we called it and left for the pancake house. Not looking good. We had our wedding at Tetherow earlier this month and it was amazing! We stayed on site with friends and family for 4 days and had the best time. Everything about our time at Tetherow was perfect from golfing, to spending time at the pool to the wedding day itself. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. The Row is a great addition to the casual restaurant scene. We love it as it is close to our house and you can make a very casual evening of it all the way to a more nice evening out. The food is both interesting, creative, and delicious. Great ambiance with nice views of the Cascades. The service is pretty good but definitely spotty as other reviews have stated. They seem to really fill up on weekends, are understaffed, and the entire staff seems pretty stressed out. And, while the menu is great, they have been open for quite a while without any real changes to the menu. Overall, a great spot. It would be great to see the service get a little stronger and a few more changes to food on the menu. read more

Amazing room with outstanding build quality. Great location and depending on which room you're in the views are pretty solid. Our room overlooked a bunch of construction and a parking lot and some new houses. Overall still a nice experience. I would have thought we'd pay a discounted price but it's still nice to treat yourself here. Room service was good. Beds were amazing. Check-in process was weird. BEWARE - UNSAFE!!!! This is an unfortunate review (and I think my 2nd review ever but I felt compelled to warn people), because the property is beautiful and our cottage was simply gorgeous and brand new. Also the staff were all very nice. After being on lockdown for months, we thought we would escape to our own little cottage during the pandemic for some family time (we have 2 young kids) in a socially distant, tranquil way with access to outdoor activities like golf and hiking. We read about the property's Covid policies and felt confident they were taking this disease seriously. However, we were dead wrong. First, we show up and just off our patio there is a loud very large party of 20-somethings going on right outside. Like 10' away. Loud music, singing, beer games. They quieted down by the 10pm quiet hours and, although very obnoxious while on our patio in the hot tub or at the fire pit, we could not hear them from inside the unit. Next, we were informed of the strict Covid protocols and the fact that they were limiting pool capacity and people needed pool reservations. So we reserved a cabana for an afternoon ($60), not just a normal pool reservation, just to make sure we were able to distance. We showed up and there was a huge bachelorette party in the cabana next to us - full on 15-20 people crammed in a small cabana made for 6 max people. Taking Jell-O shots (including with the staff), playing loud music, not even trying to stay any distance from us or anyone else or wearing masks (likely the numerous Jell-O shots?). It felt so unsafe and like the Ozark pool parties you see on the national news. As they drank more, they got even closer and frankly just sloppy and supremely obnoxious. I asked staff about whether there was a limit in the cabanas and they said well yes but there was some issue with "events." Meaning someone promised these people they could endanger the lives and safety of others by violating Covid guidelines. People - we are in middle of a pandemic!!!!!! Many of us are trying to be cautious in getting out. And we rely on businesses creating and adhering to safety policies. They should have been required to reserve multiple cabanas or none at all so everyone could appropriately distance. Not to mention they were obnoxious and there is a reason we aren't instead in Vegas with our kids. Finally, there was another bachelorette party of 40 partying next to the golf shop. Ultimately, I thought this would be a serene, family friendly, high-end resort and instead it was some sort of young Covid party destination. Do not believe their "Covid protocols" - they are non-existent. We were very disappointed to say the least, and they clearly need someone advising them about their liability exposure. Again, I am so sad to post this because this could have been a wonderful, magical place. Also, I have multiple photos and videos of the above issues, but have decided not to post them at this point because of privacy issues. But I am happy to provide them to management. Buyer beware. ETA: The hot tub was set to 109 when we got to the unit. Tried to get the temp down to no avail. Took 3 calls to fix it (adding ice and water) but we think it is finally at a normal temp of 101-102. Also there is a W/D but they do not provide detergent so we had to go buy some. Again, staff is very friendly but seems like there are a lot of kinks. All very annoying to discover.... read more

This resort has the best gym in town. The views from the cardio machines are amazing! I loved working out here. The gym has all the equipment that you could want and is so new. The pool is great too but a kid threw up in it when I was there so it was actually closed for a few hours. It's great to be able to order food and have it brought to your lounge chairs but the food was not made as ordered and the staff of young kids did not know much about customer service. read more

Tetherow is one of our favorite places not only in Bend, but in the entire state. After staying at Tetherow Resort several times in the past two years we decided to make it the place for our wedding and it did not disappoint. The venue, the staff, the amenities and service was top notch! Every thing was perfect and truly made our day special. Everyone from the Pro Shop to the front desk made this a wonderful weekend. We found this place on Booking.Com. Because of the off season, the price was ridiculously low for what we got. A large junior suit. It was awesome. The quality of the grounds, the building and the restaurant next door was incredible. Not only did I get some of the best sleep ever, but I also got the best tasting chicken soup ever. Ok, Tetherow, I wanted to love you! But for as much money as we paid for a two-night-stay, some things should have been very different! -The room: Mostly amazing. Very nice comfy beds, balcony was great. Nice TV, lots of channels. I wish there would have been a spa tub for that much money, but nice shower & bathroom. -The service: Mediocre at best. The wait staff at breakfast acted incredibly overwhelmed, and there was hardly anyone there! The food took FOREVER once they actually took our order. It was pretty good once it got to us, kind of still warm. -No room service?! How can you call yourself a luxury hotel without room service? -The bartenders at The Row were nice, but again, the food took FOREVER to come, and there was hardly anyone else even there! Why have a late night menu if the kitchen can't handle it? Decent beer selection. -Amenities: We were in the middle of trying to close on a house while we were there. Unexpectedly, we desperately needed a fax machine and a computer, neither of which they had available for their guests to use. REALLY? In this day & age? For that amount of money? Please. Ridiculous. -Overall: VERY OVERPRICED. An insane amount of money to spend for what we got. Hopefully they take the time to read their reviews and change some things. :/ read more

Went to The Row last night, got there at 6:30pm, for wine and small plates. Would not recommend it unless you want to wait 20 minutes for someone to take your order for a glass of wine. Another 15 minutes to place an order for food that was never delivered!! An hour after we arrived we were still waiting on our food! To make matters worse it was just small plates, we ordered The Huntsman (which is actually a plate of cold meats and cheeses. Yet the kitchen nor our server could manage it!!!! Management at The Row should be embarrassed by the inadequate service. This was our 2nd attempt at The Row!! We can say both times the service was horrible! At 7:30, an hour after we arrived and we had not seen any food! When we requested our ticket, they offered to "comp" the wine but no apology for the lack of service, etc. We will not go back and certainly will not refer anyone there. read more

What a joy to stay here as a resort guest! The rooms were large enough, cozy chic and the bed and linens were a delight to rest in at night. The bed was so comfy and I slept well. It was quiet and hallelujah--no banging doors and hall noise. The grounds were beautifully kept and we enjoyed relaxing around the pool. Smoothies from the poolside restaurant were fabulous.
