I recently employed the services of Teton Whitewater for a youth high adventure trip. I was very impressed with Teton Whitewater, and would highly recommend them to anyone. One of the biggest concerns I had going in was safety. I was pleased to find that the Teton Whitewater staff was highly trained and very safety conscious. The equipment was sound, the river guides were incredibly skilled, and there were two expert kayakers in the water around our rafts at all times. After one of the more aggressive rapids, there was a Teton Whitewater staff member with a rope all ready to throw in case of an overboard incident. We had no mishaps in a Snake River that was at double its normal flow and very fast. Kudos to the entire staff. I would be remiss if I did not mention the services of Matt Pratt, the head of the river operations and our personal guide. Matt was simply awesome! He was expert in navigating us away from dangerous areas, while allowing us to experience the full adventure of the rapids. Not only was he an expert river guide, but his sense of humor and ability to interact with the boys was priceless! He was hilarious, and made the trip down the river just that much more enjoyable. We had the best time! Teton Whitewater took really good care of us and provided a memorable experience on the Snake River. This was a first time experience for our three generation girls trip through the West. Our guide, Syd, took us on an interesting and knowledgeable scenic float in front of the Grand Tetons. She was kind and helpful and just plain cute! She even gave us a tip for a terrific pie place in the SD Blackhills which we took advantage of as we traveled back to Texas (delicious as promised!). We loved seeing eagles and a variety of water birds as well as spotting a moose as Syd guided us along. After the scenic float, we caught the bus to the whitewater rapids. Teton Whitewater provided us with a satisfying sack lunch and wet suits. Levi was there to meet us at the rapids. They upgraded our boat to a smaller raft when a very large party of Boy Scouts showed up to take the trip. This kept us from having to split up and also gave us a more exciting ride. Levi was an excellent guide! He made the whole run fun and exciting. We all couldn't stop smiling. Everyone at Teton Whitewater was friendly, kind and accommodating. Although everything in Jackson is beautiful, the scenic trip down the Snake River gave us so much more appreciation for the splendor of the area. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like friends and made to feel more than welcome. The boat was very comfortable, and because of the excellent communication of Teton Whitewater staff, we were well prepared. They took the time to send an email before our arrival suggesting we bring layers of clothes (just in case), and snacks for the ride. It was a beautiful trip and we got to see many eagles! The guides are knowledgeable of the area wildlife and history and are excellent at maneuvering the raft. At no time did I feel unsafe, and would definitely do the white water trip next time, and if time allows, would do the scenic trip again as nothing on the river is ever the same. My family and I spent a few days in the area - simply because we found a deal for a river trip. We did a leisure float, as someone (okay, me) is kinda scared of rapids. It was a wonderful choice. Our guide, McKenzie, was brand new and told us later that we had been her first official customers. She was fantastic and shared a lot of fun "legends" about the area, along with great factual information. We spotted 5 bald eagles, which was incredible, and even saw an eagle's nest that had been by eagles since 1981. Cool, right? It was relaxing, it was fun, and we loved the little mini splashes we got. We would do this river trip again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much Teton Whitewater! read more

My group and I had a great experience on our scenic rafting trip. It was beautiful and the scenery was a refreshing taste of life outside of the bustle of a city! we saw eagles, moose, ducks, geese etc. Our Guide Adam, was great, courteous, easy to talk to and very accommodating to us "tourists." The management was friendly and easy to talk to . we we able to enjoy the easy conversation with several other raft guides outside of the actual rafting trip. If you want to have a great experience along with a great company of friendly and accommodating employees I recommend Teton Whitewater. read more

I absolutely love good service. This is why I will be back rafting with this company on my next trip back to Jackson! They are incredibly honest, upfront, and straightforward with customer service. The equipment was awesome, we even rented a Gopro for cheap for the whitewater trip. It was only 25$ and well worth the money, I would highly recommend for the big rapids, you won't want to forget it. SO much fun. It is absolutely worth it to go down the river and experience these rapids. I was expecting it to be cold, but it ended up not being chilly. I have been down the river multiple times with this company and they have always been so knowledgeable about obstacles on the river, safety, and random stories that keep it entertaining (as if the river itself wasn't enough). They always treat me with respect and make me feel safe. They guides are super nice and super fun! I have 0 complaints and would recommend Teton Whitewater to anyone and everyone. read more

We have been coming to Jackson Hole for years and have been down the Snake River several times. I can easily say that Teton Whitewater is the best river rafting company in town. Everyone was so friendly and TJ our guide was amazing! He kept all of us entertained with his stories and knowledge of the river and made the trip so fun! This was my first trip down the river with a guide and it was worth the money. Arne and Travis knew exactly where to take us to make for an exciting trip. They showed us how to "surf" on the rapids which was something i hadnt previously experienced. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and hilarious. Fantastic white water river trip for our group last August! We loved how clean the equipment was and especially the royal treatment by their staff. They worked hard to help make our trip the best.
