I keep coming back...Unfortunately I've been coming to this produce stand for about nine months now -- but let me be clear, the only reason I stop here is because it's on my way. If I had another convenient option, I'd skip it entirely. The quality of the produce is hit or miss. Most of the time, it's decent. But every now and then, you'll get something that's clearly past its prime or just plain bad. So, it's a gamble -- and for something as basic as fruit and vegetables, it shouldn't be. But what really makes this place unpleasant is the customer service -- or more accurately, the complete lack of it. The staff are cold, unfriendly, and uninterested in helping. They don't smile, don't want to answer any questions, and clearly want you to pay and get out as fast as possible. It's like they resent you for being there. Despite being a regular, the last time I was short just two dollars and asked if they could adjust the price slightly -- not something I normally do -- the woman just stared at me blankly and repeated the total like a robot. I explained I was just short by $2 and hoped for a little understanding. Instead of showing any appreciation for my loyalty or flexibility, she made me remove some of the fruit from my order. No empathy. No goodwill. Just a cold, transactional interaction. And don't even think about asking for anything extra. One time I asked if they could pack my strawberries separately -- they charged me for that. Really? It's frustrating and disappointing to support a business for months only to be treated like a burden every time you walk in. If I had another option, I'd never come back. Until then, I'll keep stopping -- but only out of convenience, never by choice. read more

Avoid these people. She gave me a nectarine with white mold all over it and fortunately I realized before I drove away, but that didn't matter. She refused to trade it out for a non-moldy one citing all the fruit was in poor condition. Maybe the Kanan roadside stand is where they try to offload their rotten produce. read more

I needed some celery and this place was closer than the regular stand I go to. When I asked how much he said $2... I was like gtfoh that's more than the store. But I needed it so said ok just 1. He pulled it out and holy crap, I've never seen celery so big in my life. I totally get the $2. It's so big! Everything else was pretty high in prices. I feel like grocery stores are less and other stands are less. But the celery was well worth $2! read more

This place is a freaking rip off. Went by today and the woman wanted $20 for a watermelon. She must think people are idiots. When I asked why she gave me an answer that made no sense whatsoever. The strawberry's are ok but not worth what we paid. Keep driving, there's so many other fruit stands.. read more

This stand has some of the most amazing strawberries I have ever tasted. Appreciate that the stand has guidelines in place to keep both customers and employees safe, including limiting the number of people inside at a time (it's a small roadside stand), requiring masks, and having plenty of hand sanitizer at the ready. read more

There are two young girls that work there. They could not have been more RUDE. They tried to teach me how to park when I am twice their age. Then they started mocking my ability to read the signs. Today, I bought one coconut, four nectarines, and a small bag of tortillas. Total was $16.00. Other reviews for this joint say this place is reasonably priced ... but that seems pretty high for a fruit stand by the side of the road. (Seriously: it's not like there's overhead to account for.) I always drive by this place on my way to base to shop at the commissary. After today's price tag, I'll happily keep on driving. read more

We just stopped to buy fruit (flat of strawberries, avacadoes and would've loved jicama) but the gal working was absolutely rude and was bothered when we asked for prices as we were interrupting her tv show she was glued to. I don't recommend and I certainly will never be back. read more

This is my favorite fruit stand in the area. They have a good selection and the fruit is fresh and very flavorful. The service is particularly good and much better than other fruit stands as they are more willing to sell in different quantities, i.e. they'll at least split a case of strawberries. read more

They have a truck right now off of Kanan road. We stopped by around 2 pm today. The girl that was cutting the fruits for the fruit cup is THE RUDEST sales person ever. She gave me so much attitude just by asking what was in the fruit cup. I hope management does something about that. read more

They carry real Oxnard strawberries which are super sweet. The strawberries in summer only last 2-3 days, but they are as sweet as candy. Many vendors sell either the non sweet Oxnard strawberries or Santa Maria strawberries, which are harder and quite sour. This place has honesty and reasonable prices, so I like this place. They have a fruit truck off Kanan road near Thousand Oaks as well. read more

Great variety of fruit: some local, some brought in from other places. They've also got a wonderful selection of flowers. Strawberry flats here are not the cheapest, but amongst the best I've ever had. The people who work here are super friendly and...just a great place to grab something, even if it's a little out of the way for some people. read more

This is a great place to buy fruit that is fresh and reasonably priced. They have amazing strawberries which are local and great oranges. Some of the produce isn't local, but its a very good selection. You have to drive past some fields to get here, but its not that far off the main road and well worth it. We have been in winter and spring and selection and pricing remains very good. read more
