First time here and already saw the produce are better than store produce. The owner is kind and very helpful. I love avocados and there's a massive size difference. The produce is fresher, the color is more vivid, cleaner and again the size is a big difference. I mean $5 for 5 avocados for the size of my hand. Hands down better quality! read more

They have two locations this one and one named Patty's farm in Somi's. I would never shop here unless you want to be robbed every time they have a son named Fernando that works the register and overcharge each customer a few dollars here a few dollars there by the end of the day, he's robbed all the customers out of over $100 or so if you shop here make sure you're being charged correctly read more

Absolutely the best fruit and veggie stand I have been to. Everything here is incredibly fresh. When taking random drives up Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), it's worth driving about 10 minutes east from PCH, in Oxnard, to come here. They accept cash and credit cards. Gonzalez Produce Stand is open, from about 10 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week. read more

We have tried the strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, mangoes, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini and the most delicious fruit that ever existed cherimoya! This place is known for their strawberries, but probably visit around the month of May only. I would only buy in the future only if they offer a taste before I buy them. Today, I picked up a $20, 6 pack and was really disappointed in these strawberries. They taste like your average supermarket strawberries in thier lack of flavor and firmer bite. They were really overpriced and not worth $20. I tasted one and decided to freeze them all for future use in smoothies. It's probably more worth like $10 at the grocery store for what these tasted like. The flavor of these strawberries are different from what I picked up last month at this farmstand. Not worth the money. The rest of their produce is really overpriced. Knowing that Gonzalez Produce is overpriced (and they have a tip jar? -- our society is tip crazy more than ever) and they don't have have great strawberries right now in June, I'll probably stick to my local farmers markets and grocery stores in LA for cheaper strawberries. read more

I happened to be in Oxnard and couldn't leave without buying some fresh local strawberries. Looking on yelp, Gonzalez produce stand was the closest and on the way to the freeway so I took a chance. The stand is small but packed with lots of different options - strawberries, mango, corn, peaches, nectarines, apricots, cherries, cilantro, tomatoes, green onions, watermelons, pineapple and some honey and dried fruit. I tried a sample of the strawberries and they were super sweet and delicious! No white areas near the stems at all. I grabbed a three pack for $10, a bag of cherries for seven dollars, and some corn and nectarines. They also take credit card. Glad I stopped here! read more

It's not fancy, but the family friendly attitude is wonderful. We were trying to find Laguna Gardens on the Farm Day tour yesterday. The GPS directions led us to the Gonzalez farm stand instead. The young man minding the store knew that where we were seeking was further north on Wood Road and gave us directions. Since he was so kind, we checked out the stock of fresh produce, and made a purchase. We picked up local sage honey, dried mango snack fruit, and fresh strawberries. We didn't linger, as the Farm Day hours were limited, but it was good to find a fresh from the fields produce market to keep in mind when in the area again. Parking is directly adjacent on dirt/gravel spaces. Take a moment to enjoy the views across the fields to Conejo Mountain, and the western end of the Santa Monica Mountains. It's a great spot to appreciate the farmland bounty of Ventura County. Can't wait to drizzle some of the honey on a toasted English muffin. We already had some strawberries last night. We drove out to Oxnard just for some strawberries. We stopped at the Gonzalez Produce Stand because we've been there before. They had beautiful 1/2 flats of large ripe red strawberries. They looked and smelled amazing, so we got half a flat along with some avocados, nectarines, and a few other items. Let me say that the strawberries on top of the flat were absolutely amazing, along with all of the other fruit we bought. My only complaint is, once you got to the strawberries under the top (for show) layer, there were many that were shriveled and mushy. We had to throw away about 1/3 of the container. I would look under the top layer before you purchase but the ones that were on top and a few underneath along with all of the other fruit was great! read more

The people that work here are so friendly and helpful. Several varieties of fruits and vegetables to choose from. We had the BEST mango we have ever had from this place. In fact, it was so good, we went back the next day and bought more! Dragon fruit was delicious as well. I bought outstanding fruit here last week. Everything was scrumptious. I would not say it if it wasn't so, 'cause I am very picky. I got a large bag of cherries for 6.99, green seedless grapes, 2 apples, a large bag of large apricots (that I choose myself), and a half flat of blueberries combined with raspberries. The blueberries were so fat. They were good to the last drop if you know what I mean. Just to see my mom eat fruit again was priceless. They have a sanitizing station before each person enters and everyone respects the distance and waits their turn. Oh, and I got 8 large zucchini that I fried up for the family. Our go to place for fresh strawberries in all of Oxnard. $6 a basket but $16 for the whole box. Definitely worth it. They also have avocados, celery, mangos, artichokes, pineapples, and dried fruit. Definitely worth looking for. read more

Best strawberries in Los Angeles and Venutra County. This my 2nd time here. First time I looked on Yelp when strawberries had just come out. I happened to be in Oxnard again last week and the field next to the stand which had 1 inch celery growing had full sized celery as far as the eye can see. Service was friendly and she (sorry I didn't the woman's name) helped me pick the best cantaloupe. Their white corn was delicious too. I got a 1.5 pound bag of Rainer (yellow) cherries for the same price as red cherries - $6.99. read more
