Legitimately good tacos made with the BBQ from Blue Tractor. We came two months after they opened on a Sunday around 5 and were the only people in the place the entire time. This is odd because the food is good, the prices are decent, and service came with a smile. Enter under the Mash awning and turn left. This is in the former back/overflow room for Blue Tractor. Head to the counter to order, grab your silverware and drink, and take your number to a table to wait. The food comes out quickly. We ordered chips and guacamole to start. At first it's in your face with a combination of lime and salt, but after the second chip it's delicious. I do wish the guacamole and tomatoes were chopped into smaller pieces, but the flavor is stellar. The brisket on my taco was very fatty. Don't get me wrong, I know fat is flavor and the bark on their brisket is possibly heaven sent, but I can only take the texture of fat to a certain extent and I'm grossed out. I left some of the fat on my tray. It pairs well with the roasted tomato salsa. The pulled pork taco is excellent. The ingredients work well together, with the combination of crunchy and chewy textures and the pickled pepper relish with tangy lime slaw creating a wonderful flavor profile. 3, bordering on 4 stars as I know that they're brand new and hopefully will improve some things over time. I've gone 3 times now for happy hour. I'll start with what I would consider to be the areas to improve: 1. They have an email signup form promoted on the website that advertises a free taco when you sign up. Great! I tried to do it and when I asked about it there they were like, yeah we might send out discounts or coupons in the future. Just a wildly misleading promo. 2. The pricing for happy hour margs is odd. On the website it advertised 36 oz margs for $5, and when I went in I was asked what size I wanted. I said "whatever is on the happy hour menu" and I was told that both sizes were. What does that mean? Both of them are $5? 3. 2 out of the 3 times I went the margs were served on the rocks instead of frozen because the machine hadn't frozen them yet 4. It seems like there are some major kitchen issues with getting food out on time - I overheard a table waiting a really long time for their tacos Now for the positives: 1. Margs are great, and even though the pricing is very odd and unclear what is certain is that they're a good deal 2. Nice people working 3. Good hot sauces (hell yeah tapatio and Valentina!!!) 4. I like the system of ordering at a register and getting to choose your own table, makes it a more casual/fluid dining experience imo. 5. Guac is great and they are not stingy with the chips, that's for sure. Overall there are definitely some major kinks to work out, but I think it definitely has 4-5 star potential. read more

Texacana is a New Mexican restaurant with insane every day happy hour deals. They have the same owner as Blue Tractor as Mash, so you know it won't disappoint. The 36oz margs are only $5 during HH and they were soooo good. We also tried the smoked brisket which was really good and bbq tacos that were ok. In terms of salsa, we tried all 3 options and liked the tomato one the best. The hot salsa didn't really have as much flavor and was mostly just spice. Great employees but this is not Tex-Mex. This is just bbq with a few ingredients used in Mexican food. If you go in expecting tex mex you'll be disappointed but just think bbq with a twist. I wish they had more Mexican flavors like authentic salsas and fajitas but I really do hope they do well. I really really miss Tex-Mex. I would go back just because the staff and the chef were so sweet. read more

Delivery order Pros: awesome tacos, great flavor, ingredients and setup on all except the pork. Fast delivery Cons: they're not ready for delivery yet. 3 of 8 things were wrong. No chips are included with "chips and queso", paid protein add-ons (ie pulled pork) to the rice bowl don't get added, mixed results on selecting flour or corn tortillas vs what actually shows up. Such a fun vibe (connected to Mash and Blue Tractor) with order at the counter and seat yourself. We did almost get ID-d because they thought we were going to Mash but I'm sure they're getting used to the flow of different traffic. Great options and the guy at the counter was helpful in describing different dishes! We tried the queso, nachos and rice bowl with pulled pork and three different tacos. Tacos are definitely the way to go but all options were pretty good. I would only suggest they put a sauce of some sort on the rice bowl - I wound up using some verde salsa from my husband's tacos. I've been waiting for Tex-Mex this good in A2 for a long time it feels like. My favorite thing about this place is that the hot salsa is actually very hot. Thats personally my first priority but there were lots of great other things as well like thin and crispy chips. read more

Blue tractor is great. This place is amazing. The rib taco is awesome. Underrated vibe much needed.

Well for starters I'd like say the food is incredible. Chef Steven and his crew do quite the job. Everything I've had is so good. This goes for the entire staff as well. I took my dad here and we got a queso dip, Margaritas, and brisket tacos. I've been craving the tacos ever since We had them. I thought the decor and ambiance were very pleasant too.
