I was told cracking concrete is normal but I am pretty sure it shouldn't be cracking immediately. They put the soil (finish) down on July 3rd right before the tropical storm dropped over 5" of rain and the concrete forms were still piled up in the backyard so that area didn't get cleared or topsoil. We still had a green pool that couldn't be enjoyed over the holiday. They won't dig before rain but they will through down fresh topsoil or whatever it was but not prepared for sod and rough grade that went straight to the pool. It was also before the masonry was even started much less completed. The masonry guys got to trudge through carrying the stones. What we ended up with was a mixture of concrete, sand, gravel and rock with footprints after things dried out. We had to use a tiller/cultivator and pickaxe to try to break up the ground. The mixture of concrete, sand, gravel, and rocks broke my tiller. They shouldn't put down soil until everybody is done so that all of it is cleared up! We signed the contract 3/5/2025 and we still haven't swam in the pool for 2 primary reasons. 1 they cleaned the filters but then they got more concrete in the pool so the filters already need to be cleaned to get the concrete out. 2nd the tinker toy handrail isn't going to help me or my sister in or out of the pool (white powder coated steel ended up being white plastic that bends pretty easy and isn't long enough to help). I don't know if my pool was damaged but when the little bulldozer slid into the side wall and they had difficulty getting it out, they said it was no big deal. It feels like to me they seem to invalidate any of my concerns, they just want the money. The decking mess is probably why they push to sell the cool decking to just cover up issues.

I would say the same about "pool electricians" if there is such a thing. Dutch Guy Pool Service came out and evaluated our needs, explained what we needed our electrician to do first, and then came back and installed everything when we were ready. The install is great, the plumbing work is excellent as well, and everything was cleaned up and set up for us to use. In addition, I should mention that they showed up when they said they would, which is unfortunately rare these days. Highly recommend for your pool needs of any type... they are truly full service, knowledgeable and reasonable. We'll be using them to clean our tile next...

He returned my call within 24 hours, arrived at the scheduled time and emailed our bid within a day or two. The repairs were completed in the agreed upon time frame our final bill matched his original bid. No surprise up-charges! We could not be happier with his work. Earnest, Dutch Guy Pool Service, is definitely the man to call for pool repair. (209) 277-9561

Since the new team has taken over, it has been an extremely painful experience. In a nutshell, they abandoned servicing my pool with no notice. I emailed three times and did not receive any response and saw my pool turn for the bad (see pics) over those three weeks. I then get a text message saying that they had stop servicing my neighborhood as one of their technicians had left. The only excuse of this text coming so late was that they had typo'd on my cell number. While I totally understand that these things happen, what I would have expected that they leave us with the pool in good shape so that we do not have to incur the additional cost of turning over the pool. In addition to that, they are expensive compared to the market and not a great service. They always left our pool with debris at the bottom. The business owner really does not show professionalism and just really difficult to work with. Adam (the primary technician) puts in the effort but not just not been able to get the pool to how most other pool servicing companies deliver results. Fallon (the business owner) just does not seem capable or responsible for dealing with customers. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these folks any more and its a shame to see a small business like this go from a great reputation to abysmal customer service levels.
